  • A full day's running session through Beeston Castle Station on a Summer's day in 1932. Peckforton Light Railway is a 45mm gauge, 15mm scale garden railway based on a hypothetical 3-foot narrow gauge railway which might have run alongside the Peckforton Hills in rural Cheshire (UK). A novel and engaging way of presenting a garden railway. It reminds us that our railways were built to move materials then people from one location to another. An entertaining piece of work with a superb commentary. Thanks for your trouble

    The narration of railroad activities is wonderful. I would equate you to Bob Ross, but of railroading!

    You have managed to create a totally credible world here; the videography is first class and the commentary delightfully informative. Thanks once again!

    James is certainly being well used. Seems to be a do-it-all sort of locomotive.

    I really love your videos and it's awesome to see your garden railway in action always like the episodes of how you run your timetables for your locomotives and rolling stock. Have you ever done a tender locomotive

    • @rikbennett9
      @rikbennett9  2 месяца назад

      @@GarrettTaylorLeedy No. No tender locos (yet ..... 🤔)

    Nice, absolutly Nice! Though I wonder why through trains do take the 'rear' track having to pass two more points than when running on the front track. Modellers license to provide the better motive for the camera man, or is there a 'real' logistic behind that choice of way?

    • @rikbennett9
      @rikbennett9  2 месяца назад +1

      Just following the convention of keeping to the left. Down trains take the rear track and Up trains the nearer track. I follow the same principle at all the through stations.

    Thanks for sharing yet another of your very interesting and enjoyable videos Rik 👍. The storyline is as fascinating and entertaining as the modelling and scenery😀. Did your computer program generate the trains and you then created the storyline or vice versa or was it a combination?

    • @rikbennett9
      @rikbennett9  2 месяца назад +2

      Hi Gerald. It was a bit of a combination. The computer provided the backbone to the movements but I added another couple just to make things a bit more visually interesting.

    Its such a lovely line, do you get many 16mm Association visitors? (I know 45mm is a bit rare, but a lot of locos can be re-gauged easily including my own)

    • @rikbennett9
      @rikbennett9  Месяц назад +1

      @@SteamLance No, not really. I've had a couple but in fact I've had more visitors from overseas (Australia x2, Sweden, New Zealand and USA).
