This vlog is really quite random but has ended up being one of my favorites of the year. There was something oh so satisfying about finding this thrifted bookshelf and making it a part of our home with a bit of bookish organization. I'm really happy with how it's turned out but I also look forward to seeing it change with the seasons/as we grow our library and trinkets 📚

A bookshelf is a very personal item for sure. I love to look at other people’s bookshelves! I feel very comfortable in a house where books are a high priority. I guess it comes from being a life long reader. That plant shop would have been a wonderful trip for me too. I love that test tube vase . You can use for current flowers in your garden or dried ones in the cold months. Or sometimes in the winter I treat myself to a small bouquet from a store. Very cheering in the bleak months. The test tube vase has already been so much fun to experiment with! I’ve tried both dried flowers and freshly picked flowers and both look so different in the vase but equally as beautiful!!

Just finished watching this video and I cannot get ride of the idea that each and everyone of us should get a Landon to sweetly complement our bookshelf organization 🤔
I love how you organized your bookshelf. I have 23 bookcases in a tiny loft apartment, so I've organized every bookcase by color (except for my comics/graphic novel collection). I think that bookcases reflect their owners' personality and yours is perfect for you and that's the coolest! Also THAT PIZZA LOOKS AMAZING!

Love looking at peoples book cases, reveals so much about a person, family etc. I also organize by subject, and within the subject hight and color along with my favorite, feathers, shells, wood, skeletons all encompas the appropriate subject. Never would turn a book to expose its pages.LOL I would feel like the words are leaking out... LOL.....
Love the tour of the garden center, making pizza , yummy....I would have gone for a 9.0 over all, without the tofurkey ??? would have been a 10, always a hit or miss for me. Looked amazing ! Sending heart filled thoughts to you both.

Hello Morgan, I absolutely love what you've done with the bookshelf! I'm currently looking forward to having my dad make my bookshelves by hand with wood because he makes furniture and kitchens for a living but, having a bookshelf like the one you have has always been a dream of mine. I'm glad that you decided to dedicate a section to the literary books you studied in school. I have bookshelf envy! I had a dream book shelf that was stored at my moms. I didn’t know she was bothered temporarily hanging onto it and decided to give it away for free. On top of it the people who took it cut in up to use the wood parts. Still a bit of a sore spot for me as I’ve never come across one that looks like it, was solid cherry, and quite pricey. In time I will find one thrifting.

This was such a lovely video! I have finally gotten brave enough to try out some house plants (sunflower seeds and a dahlia tuber in pots so far) and seeing the nursery bit has me so eager to continue my plant journey. That bookshelf is a gorgeous find. I love that you took the time and care to curate it in such a way that it showcases who you and Landon are. And I agree with all of Landon's compliments! You inspire me to make my home a welcoming reflection of myself. I admire that you do so in a sustainable and thrifty way with second hand finds and crafts of your own making. And I think there should be some sort of celebration when we get a 10/10 rating hahaha

I am of gene reader group that rarely have the inclination for decorating a bookcase. It just gets stuffed with books. Always a case of more books than bookshelves. A plant or travel memento here and there, but mostly chock full of books.

OMG, knowing that you’ve read Lorca makes me SO happy, Morgan... he was from Granada, and so do I, and apart from having fully studied him, I’ve visited his home and have even studied in the very same room he was captive in before being executed (I know it sounds awfull, but one of the buildings of the Law faculty was once used as a prison). Also, I’m basically living through my fave youtubers going outside and enjoying the weather cause I refuse to leave my house in the current situation Brazil’s in. Unfortunately from what I see around my area (and dare I say in the country), people don’t care much that there’s a pandemic in its worst wave yet. It’s saddening :(

The situation in Brazil is really sad. My best friend here, Talita, moved to the US from Brazil 2 years ago and all of her family is still there. I’m sorry for the suffering this pandemic has caused your community.
Things have been getting better here but they’re starting to get bad again. I always feel guilty about going out and about and I can’t wait for a time when that is no longer the case.

And know how careful you are, I’m sure it was fine. Don’t let guilt get in the way of that experience or others guilty you into that!
