That is such a beautiful poem. It is always ok to cry in your videos! It can be difficult when you feel like those closest to you don’t understand what you do that you’re passionate about. I’ve experienced this a lot myself. But I can tell you know the true value of what you give the world! I do hope your loved ones come to see that too. Ooooookay, I was not expecting that poem to make me cry too! It's so beautiful and resonates so much. I think that Maria has really captured the way that your content feels. It absolutely feels like a joyful and peaceful friendship. Also there are times when I catch myself having negative and judgmental thoughts and I am not exaggerating when I say that I stop those thoughts by reminding myself that I want to feel the way that your videos make me feel. Like a positive and happy sunbeam :) I have had to make several decisions this year that are different than what my friends and family would do and I have found a type of acceptance and peace in the knowledge that I am a unique person and what works for me may not work for even those closest to me and thats ok. The career that you've set out upon has had such a wonderful impact already. Hi Morgan! Last week I went shopping and came across the cutest mug that says Hello, friend. I instantly thought of you. I will have to send you a picture of it. You indeed have friends around the world. Maria's poem was beautiful and a perfect description of you. When people express their doubts or draw backs about what you choose to do with your life, it's usually a reflection of them. They can't imagine doing what you do, so in turn they transfer their own reservations on you. Don't accept those thoughts. They belong to them, not you. In truth, they are probably envious. Most people don't work a job they love. May your light so shine for all the world to see!

Hi Morgan! I really liked your speech and the poem that Maria wrote. I love that you think as your viewers as your friends and I think a lot of us also feel that way. Some sort of internet friend who can relate to loving literature and nature. And I don't feel like your videos are 'conceited'. Your videos are of course about you but also about much more than that. For me it's about learning to take care of yourself, being creative and knowing when you need to take a break. I learn a lot of life lessons from those 'speeches' you make. I finished reading The Bookish Life of Nina Hill last night (I'm not going to spoil anything) and while I enjoyed reading it I also expected a little bit more from it. The writing also came over as a little chaotic to me. My mind is chaotic enough as it is, so the writing also being like that was sometimes a little overwhelming. I’m pausing the video 15 minutes in to tell you how much your message means to me. I’m 24 years old, still living at home, and my anxiety is so bad that I’m terrified to drive and don’t even have my license. While I have an amazing job that is more than enough to support myself, I’ve been beating myself up lately, telling myself that I should have my own apartment by now, I should be driving, and should have more money saved up. I’ve definitely felt like a failure, but your message really spoke to me, and I just wanted to say thank you for everything that you do.
That was such a wonderful poem. One of the great things about the internet is being able to connect and learn from so many people we will never meet in person. I love your videos, Morgan. You inspire me to read, exercise, eat healthier, and forgive myself when I feel I could/should be doing more or being more than I currently am. The music and nature recordings you use calm me down while I am working (my job creates a lot of anxiety for me). It’s hard to not care about what other people think, especially those we love. I had not seen my parents in 514 days...and they drove across the country to come and stay with me for a week! It was so wonderful to show them where I live and all of my favorite places. They left this morning and as soon as they walked out the door, I felt so heartbroken. I started having a panic attack thinking about how I was all alone again and letting my anxiety spiral my thoughts into all kinds of negative places! I knew exactly what to do- I made some tea and sat down to watch this video. I knew without question that your video would help to bring my heart some peace and warmth in this moment. Your videos are in no way conceited. That tough time in your life a few years ago that you talk about? That’s so relatable to so many people. I’m still going through mine. And it’s so inspiring and refreshing and helpful to see you talk about that time. It’s nice to be able to relate to someone who is now on the other side of that. You found something you love to do and a life that feels fulfilling to you. And watching you, gives so many of us hope for the same future. I can imagine it’s so hard to have the people you care about the most to not understand the true impact you’re making. Just remember that the people (the hundreds of people who watch and comment and sign up for patreon) who are following your journey...we get it. And we understand you. I found your channel about a year ago, as things were picking up for some job offers based in Portland for my partner. My partner, son and I moved to Portland from out of state about six months ago. With COVID happening my four year old and I haven’t been able to meet anyone since moving. Watching your videos has helped me so much! I'm sorry you're going through that with those closer to you- that must be difficult. I truly get great comfort from your videos. I've worked from home for 16 years now and I've always lamented the fact that I work from morning to night because of interruptions and me just getting distracted in general. It made me feel like I was only working...all the time. A lot of times, my work would bleed into the weekends. You showed me how to put a bit of joy in every single day. If I'm going to work into the night anyway, I should take that walk or go to that yoga class or just watch the birds out back. A little joy every single day. Also there are times when I catch myself having negative and judgmental thoughts and I am not exaggerating when I say that I stop those thoughts by reminding myself that I want to feel the way that your videos make me feel. Like a positive and happy sunbeam :) I have had to make several decisions this year that are different than what my friends and family would do and I have found a type of acceptance and peace in the knowledge that I am a unique person and what works for me may not work for even those closest to me and thats ok. The career that you've set out upon has had such a wonderful impact already. I hope that the misunderstandings of others don't discourage you too much and that soon they can see and partake in that impact as well :)

They can't imagine doing what you do, so in turn they transfer their own reservations on you. Don't accept those thoughts. They belong to them, not you. In truth, they are probably envious. Hi Morgan! I really liked your speech and the poem that Maria wrote. I love that you think as your viewers as your friends and I think a lot of us also feel that way. Some sort of internet friend who can relate to loving literature and nature. And I don't feel like your videos are 'conceited'. Your videos are of course about you but also about much more than that. For me it's about learning to take care of yourself, being creative and knowing when you need to take a break. I learn a lot of life lessons from those 'speeches' you make. I finished reading The Bookish Life of Nina Hill last night (I'm not going to spoil anything) and while I enjoyed reading it I also expected a little bit more from it. The writing also came over as a little chaotic to me. My mind is chaotic enough as it is, so the writing also being like that was sometimes a little overwhelming. I’m pausing the video 15 minutes in to tell you how much your message means to me. I’m 24 years old, still living at home, and my anxiety is so bad that I’m terrified to drive and don’t even have my license. While I have an amazing job that is more than enough to support myself, I’ve been beating myself up lately, telling myself that I should have my own apartment by now, I should be driving, and should have more money saved up. I’ve definitely felt like a failure, but your message really spoke to me, and I just wanted to say thank you for everything that you do.

You inspire me to read, exercise, eat healthier, and forgive myself when I feel I could/should be doing more or being more than I currently am. I had not seen my parents in 514 days...and they drove across the country to come and stay with me for a week! It was so wonderful to show them where I live and all of my favorite places. They left this morning and as soon as they walked out the door, I felt so heartbroken. I started having a panic attack thinking about how I was all alone again and letting my anxiety spiral my thoughts into all kinds of negative places! I knew exactly what to do- I made some tea and sat down to watch this video. I knew without question that your video would help to bring my heart some peace and warmth in this moment. Your videos are in no way conceited. That tough time in your life a few years ago that you talk about? That’s so relatable to so many people. I’m still going through mine. And it’s so inspiring and refreshing and helpful to see you talk about that time. It’s nice to be able to relate to someone who is now on the other side of that. You found something you love to do and a life that feels fulfilling to you. And watching you, gives so many of us hope for the same future. I can imagine it’s so hard to have the people you care about the most to not understand the true impact you’re making. Just remember that the people (the hundreds of people who watch and comment and sign up for patreon) who are following your journey...we get it. And we understand you. I'm sorry you're going through that with those closer to you- that must be difficult. I truly get great comfort from your videos. I've worked from home for 16 years now and I've always lamented the fact that I work from morning to night because of interruptions and me just getting distracted in general. It made me feel like I was only working...all the time. A lot of times, my work would bleed into the weekends. You showed me how to put a bit of joy in every single day. If I'm going to work into the night anyway, I should take that walk or go to that yoga class or just watch the birds out back. A little joy every single day.
