These two have been hovering around the #1 and #2 for their respective characters for minute now and it really shows here. Kazam always had the sauce with Johnny but this last patch really made him beast. Nitro applying every bit of knowledge on both the character and the game itself to lay down consistent pressure and either blow kazam up on whiff or leave them in a guard crush loop. Combine that nail biter comeback wins from basically zero health, double kos, insane combos. You got a match that look like it was a set big named tournament top 6.
Not as far as I'm aware, none of the changes to wild assault or invincible DPs directly apply to Gio at all, so in a patch where almost everyone was nerfed, being relatively untouched is a buff in and of itself. Johnny of course was given a new pair of Jordans and a ketamine injection this patch, so in this case he's the buffed char @@xcreenplay7264
The reason Nitro keeps getting hit by lows is because Kazam is so proficient at TK mist finer it feels like he can pull it out his ass anytime, forcing Nitro on his toes 24/7 while Nitro keeps a cool head during all these 50/50s and punishes any whiffs. What a set.
9:15 why no RRC on any of these throws as gio? She has 100% tension seems worth to wall break with super get big damage + hard knockdown + positive bonus. This player is def better than me overall, but seems like a missed opportunity here, unless there is something im not seeing
The throw combos likely wouldn't do enough damage or build enough meter to warrant sacrificing a potential hard knockdown into a greater mental stack for the opponent.
You gotta remember that even though these players are going crazy in this clip, it is a casual match at the end of the day. I suspect no RRC because guardcrush -> throw -> guardcrush -> throw was REALLY funny

Nitro spacing themselves just out of throw range is so satisfying to watch.
