    Fantastic bit of Aussie technology we have been using Mother bins for many decades makes a big difference here due to huge paddocks.

    Reminds me of something Demco had years back.

    Great idea but it always the bottle neck at the grain elevator

    Too much augering of grain produces more fines.
    Heavv mother bins make deeper compaction in the ground.

      @Beyonder8335 Год назад

      Sure but I doubt you’d get too much damaged grain running it through one extra auger in normal conditions. And the compaction would only be at the field entrance

      @tira2145 Год назад +1

      It would be less compaction. Set this up at the field entrance. The semi's wouldn't have to enter the field. It would take a little extra work to build a pad for it, but you are only using this on huge field's. Plus I doubt that you are moving this in the field fully loaded.

    If combines move 5 miles away to another field the bin will have to stay put until its nearly empty. Need two.

    Mike Mitchell needs one. It would really increase efficiency with his 2+ mile long fields.

      @etrain757 Год назад

      Not really, his bottleneck is never trucks because he doesn’t get any crazy yields. Like he just had 10 combines in 1 field and 1 truck which is just insane

      @John-nc4bl Год назад +1

      With 2 mile long fields,Mike needs to dump into trucks on the go.
      Less grain augering means less fines.

      No he don't need it, it will only compact the field more. See the wheels of the Mother Bins? It will be stuck on wet land.

    A mother bin is another expense.
    By adding a mother bin means that there is one more augering step in moving grain which makes for more fines= loss.
    Fuel used to pull the mother bin to and from a set location and fuel used to drive the long auger= loss.
    Dont be a slave by having to pay some manufacturer the high expense of a mother bin.

    Just guessing, $200,000?

    • @w8stral
      @w8stral Год назад +1

      Or just buy 1 extra grain cart and a couple extra truck dump trailer and now you are REDUNDANT instead of one more crap specialty item which is hard to resell and with HORRIFICALLY expensive parts impossible to find

      I think it would be cheaper to build a bin nearby
