That's a very nice looking boat and your talk over was really interesting. I'll be looking out for the next installment 😊
Thanks for your comment, looking forward to it
I really like these boats and other semi-displacement options like Broom. I currently have a 32ft sailboat but I'm less about sailing and more about travelling/boating. The sail for me is just the most economical means of propulsion. I am debating whether to move to power and it would be this sort of option I think. Travel at displacement if youre in no rush but if weather is coming in or you have a deadline, jump upto to cruisng speed. How do you find fuel consumption? What is it like at say displacement speed 7kts, cruising speed 14-16 kts and flat out 21 kt? I would guess something like 1.5 lts per nm, 2.5 lts nm and 3.5 lts nm respectively but would be good to know your experience? Cheers.
Hi, you have hit the nail on the head with this, I completely agree with you as I like sailing and motor but motorboat always has that edge when weather is on the horizon, I have no real accurate fuel consumption for this boat as my last trip was running at between 14/17 knots for a 100 nautical mile trip and I filled her tanks before leaving, I filled her back up again 4 weeks ago and it took 250 litres so your very accurate with saying 2.5 lts nm, the Aquastar is a great boats and excellent sea keeping 🙏🛥️
Lovely boat. How long have you owned her and where can I buy one😉?
I have owned her for 2 year. Great boat but only currently 2 available for sale in the UK at the moment 😎
