A proper boat for an old man to go through the Aigian sea.. in the summers and specially the winters!!
Remind me of the pilot-boats bringing pilots on the cargo ships I worked on years ago..
Can't go wrong with this one Nick... thanks!
Nick this is my favourite boat so far this year, absolutely pushes my buttons, I love this style of boat and would buy one in a heartbeat, give me one of these over a gin palace any day. More of these please 🙏
If you want a serious boat to do some serious boating, you can’t go far wrong with this! Lovely woodwork inside & some nice features. What you might lose in ‘marina appeal’ you gain in ‘go anywhere’ ability! 👍🏻
Wow just love the colour.. So rusty and traditional... Just amazing Boat Nick Sir.. and looking Dashing in blues Sir
This is my kind of boat, I don't want a gin palace with Ikea type drawers and cupboards, I want something solid and purposeful, so Nick, you have made my Sunday evening with this!
Good choice!
Nick is so good at these tours and describing these boats to us, that he almost discouraged me with the speed and economy ratings. But then he swooped in with his brilliance and saved it with the “pushing through it rather than bumping over it” line. I really like this boat!!! WELL DONE AS USUAL NICK!!
I love how he always says he will edit out the bloopers, but never does. Just for a little laugh!! 😆
Yes Sir!! I love it! This is so me....loved seeing this boat...thank you Nick!
My pleasure!!
Nick and His Brilliant Program. The Boat is Perfect for that Price it's like buying a Nice House but you can use it on water to. Thanks Nick you are always Brilliant 👍👍👍🚤🚤😎😎
You're very kind
And a Hugh thanks for Nick for bring this very nice show of this Dale Nelson 38 I really like this boat and this set up with the 2 sleeping rooms one in the bow and the second in de aft cabine a nice galley please Nick do more of this kind of boats or smaller boat builders brand lovely Thanks again Nick a great show
Thank you Nick.......
For never editing out the mistakes!
And the boat reviews.
What mustakes? 😄
@@AQUAHOLIC Ba dum tsssh!
Gloop Gloop blurby blurby "oops I'll edit that out" ..................
Never does😆😆 excellent .Nice little Nelson 4x4 of the seas
yeah hes posted
so what you are saying is.....Buying the Boat is ££££ Mooring the Boat is ££££ fuel is ££££ maintenance is ££££. I would still love one, but not on my pension lol lol.
Beautiful woodwork, surprisingly spacious engine room and all on a sub 40' all weather boat! You can colour me impressed.
This would be my perfect boat, a dream if only i had the money i'd have their hands off.
Hey Nick there is no better surprise than seeing a new Aquaholic video on a Sunday afternoon
My kinda boat, beautiful craftsmanship. I’m a bit surprised at the relatively low fuel range for a boat clearly designed for being at sea.
Thanks Nick! This is a LOT of boat for its size.
This boat reminds me of "Down Easter" lobster boats of Maine. Or like my dream boat..MJM 53Z (outboard version)....Which I hope you can review one day.
What a beauty. The dog's wasitsnames. No Poncy Gilligan's Island type cap for this boat. Maybe a sou'wester. Also, it does look very comfortable. Excuse me while I drool.
That's not mucking about! If I were to guess for a car equivalent, I'd say the original Mercedes G-Wagon. Not the urban bling-machine it's become, but the original army-purpose one. What a fantastic mini-explorer! Thanks for the tour!
#1 whoop like. Thank you Nick
Fantastic boat. Especially the ones built at bucklers hard. Took one out on sea trials and while we were out the weather became extremely rough with huge rolling waves. The boat handled it easily. Worked on a number of crafts including princess and sunseekers but there was something special about a Nelson
Bijou and full of charm, love it. Much prefer than any £4M Yacht.
I used to work on the police boats in VT Halmatics in Portchester and they were SOLID!!!
Every marina has that soundtrack of something loose clanging
in the wind... probably a sail boat.
Haha. It could be a tape.
A lot of boat for the money and another great video 🛥🚤⛵️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
One of the best boats you've ever shown. Fantastic!!!!
38 feet, excellent sea keeping, great space for its length. What a boat! Chance to be a real sailor rather than a leisure boater. How smug could you feel? Great choice of tour Nick, thanks!
Having surveyed a large number of the range I can vouch for the exceptional build quality, the new 28, 36 and 40 are also amazing vessel's and all from the TT Arthur pen.
Hi Nick do you think you will ever have a nosey at a safe haven boat like the thunderchild?
Nick... interesting boat this!
Hi Nick, yippee, yippee just my type of relatable small ship galley dinette down, saloon up! Next best thing to an explorer boat/ship. Sensible curved doorway to heads in owners cabin, no sharp edges to crack your head on getting up in the night 😀 😎 Cheers DougT
Really nice yacht, you can see how the wood and finishes change over time but still look amazing and kept in tip top condition. Love the tour Nick, thank you.
Reminds me of a sailboat interior....sort of.
A beauty if ever there was one. As a Cornishman who's been around cars and boats for 60+ years; this is what we call: "A Proper Job"
Another quality video tour, thanks.
But
Seems quite expensive for a 38 foot 20+ year old boat.
You get what you pay for 🙂
I LOVE those 'drop and lock' drawers! A true testimony to ingenuity
of seafarers.
Great boat with a lot of surprises given the type of boat it is. It would be a great family boat given the layout, but if I was picky I would want a separate shower recess in the Master. Otherwise, great boat with going to sea in mind. Cheers Nick for another great video, from Australia
Hi Nick. You've had a few Seaward/Nelson on the channel and even sea trials. It's a commercial rugged go anytime vessel with comfortable interior. Forward looking radar for lobster/crab pots. I'm blown away with the space and curved wood design. Great video thanks 😊
One of my favourite craft, incredibly well built. Only issue is I am 6’3” tall, and they don’t have great head room.
In that case you'll Not find many boats that you can fit in or you have to spend 2 or 3 milion on yacht that you can fit in haaaaaa. 😎😎
In that case you'll Never find Yacht that you can fit in unless you spend 2 or 3 milion. For Yacht that you can fit in haaaaaa 😎😎😎
@@rogerburn5132 yes I think you might be right there.
My time of boat affordable practical ideal for crossing hurst spit to the IOW when it gets choppy👍👍
considering this boat is 21 yrs old it is in first class condition and looks like it has been hardly used.
Aquaholic & motaholic here! Big question is sir if you had to pick which one would you pick if you had 250,000????
HEY!!! IV'E GOT THE SAME DECK SHOES! 10 1/2 Canadian Size Great summer shoes, light and soft sides, comfortable for our short summers 😂👞 Hey-ho from Montreal
go anywhere boat with best layout!!!
Very impressive! All I would do is to replace the singles to a double bed and build a proper shower in the owner's cabin. I just have to meet the guy called Jack(the)Pot. Come on LOTTO, you can do it for me! 🤣🤣🤣
It is really well maintained. Looks nearly new. I would be a proud owner :-)
compared to new boats this one feels like a great one to live on its sturdy and practical.
Hi Nick, yet another great video of a superb boat. However, with a range of only 200ish miles it's not really a serious go anywhere boat is it. Yes I understand as a pilot boat they are very capable and do the job very well, but range is not an issue with a pilot boat. Try taking this thing to Monaco or Italy from Southampton, Tyneside, Hull, Edinburgh, Belfast or Aberdeen and you'd spend more time filling it up than actually sailing on the high seas. The range actually prevents it from being a go anywhere serious boat unless your happy bobbing between southern England and northern France.
Aww… bless! What a beautiful boat! And she has plenty of oomph under those lines too ❤️
I wonder if there are any ex-pilots who would also use one of these with the side rails removed, though. 🤔
Wonderful, well made and well cared for little ship. I could easily see myself living on this boat for a couple of years.
Lovely boat, though I might change the radio/cassette player for a more modern Radiogram....😂
Dividers ! I just use my fingers......I'm trapped on a sandbar at the moment, can you send help ;)
That might be the most impressive boat I have seen you review. I absolutely love that.
Man I love this boat. If I could, it would be mine. Only disappointment in the whole thing is lack of a separate shower. Nice otherwise though!
DIY done, work shirts ironed, first beer opened, watching a Nick boat video while waiting for Sunday roast to cook. Life is good! Cheers Nick 🍺
Awesome!
Just back from a splendid time on a yacht, the next thing we see is another tour of a splendid boat. Thanks Nick and keep those videos coming🍀☀️😊
🧢
Thanks, will do!
Another great video Nick, love this little ship, my kind of vessel, all I need is the £250,000...
Haha. Maybe Nick could sub you?
Amazing boat! Looking at it, it's hard to believe it's 21 years old...it's in fantastic shape!
Oooo. A new backpack. Interesting how similar the color is from the older one!!!
Aloha; lovely vessel. Concur with the beautiful woodwork. Mahalo
Poole harbour had two Nelson's for pilot boats. Seen them take some serious heavy weather. Superb boats
Always love it when Nick posts a new video!!
Glad you like them!
Lovely boat, just go boating when you want and to hell with the weather. Quite surprised to hear it's only got a 200 mile range, for some reason I expected more like 1000nm. Lots of fuel stops I would imagine.
Simple physics. You won't get 1,000 miles out of a twin engined boat with this cruising speed, it would be immossible to store the fuel and too heavy if you did.
Gorgeous boat, you need to get a tour of a Dale 40 now to see how they have progressed!
Hi from hongkong
Hello there!
Lovely boat, a Nick type boat for lazy day sailing days or more serious if needs be. Great review.
Brilliant SUV for the sea. It will keep on keeping on!
Typical to hear in the background a sailor who has not secured his mast lines again. The rattling is unbearable, at least for motorboaters
Really nice "I Wish I Had Money For This" boat. As always, great walking tour.
This is, “The One”! Now I need the $250K and some boating lessons.
The only thing I wish I would have done different is designed the master head did not be a wet head but have a separate shower our but they just may have not been the room for it on that design but it's an excellent boat
I LOVE this boat. I'd have it in a second, as is, in a heartbeat (that's a ways down the road though...)
When you are fitting a back up radar to your pleasure boat you have waaaay too much time to think.
Wonderful Tour as always Nick thanks for sharing
Hi,i worked on nelson boats in the 70’s when serving with the Humber pilot service.they are brilliant sea boats.cheers Roly 🇬🇧.
Now THIS is something for a West Jute! (DK)
Greetings Nick
This is definitely a different type of boat. The joinery is amazing and from the looks of the video, still in great shape. For the size of the boat it is a proper sea keeping vessel. What a wonderful tour, Thanks.
Cheers
One word: Liveaboard.
200 mile range is a deal-breaker. Nice boat though.
Not bad for a 20 year old model.
For a 38 foot boat, it sure seems more usable room is available than some bigger boats. What a true beauty!
Are you allowed to point out old school durability..... i hope you are 🙏
It's a shame there's no seperate showers. Better to have 1 heads with a decent shower than 2 wet rooms in my opinion.
Excellent presentation.
Hi Nick. Great video again. What a lovely boat. How good is all that woodwork and I am amazed at what condition she is in for a boat of her age. Impressive. Just the type of boat for any adventure. Very spacious layout. A home from home. Thanks Nick. Best wishes.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video Nick this boat is all terrain watching you from San Francisco 😀😀😀😀😀😀
Hey there San Francisco!
What a superb bit of kit! It may not be a floating gin palace, but it’s still got plenty of room and comfort considering it’s sea keeping and all whether abilities.
Brilliant boat and suitably brilliant tour, thank you Nick!
Love these Nelson boats... This is the best one yet! When I was a kid my Dad ran the pilot boat(s) out of Cowes and I remember being allowed to sleep aboard them when not being used and also going out to collect the pilot off the QE2 around The Needles in some pretty hairy weather! I'd love to have one as a live-aboard!
another one added to my list of "boats to consider buying" :D
If you could get onboard an Elling E4 I would be eternally grateful! lol
Its in beautiful nic for a twenty plus year old machine
Now that there is my kind of boat. I think I’ve found my new favourite
You are the only one who does these *not* super yachts. You also only see here the smaller range of Princesses and others. Everyone oos and ahhhs over the X95, but in many ways that is a restricted boat. You can't take an X95 up the Seine to Paris, you could with this, or a V50. Thanks so much for these.
You're very welcome 🙂
I call that. Boat boat ,no nonsense, but how comfy it looks 😀
ohh nick what another lovely boat
exquisite boat but comes with a rolls royce price tag
Barometer spotted - it must be a serious boat :-) And I love the cabinetry, proper craftmanship.
Great boat and great socks, thanks for the vid!
Thanks for watching!
For that 35' boats divisions they fit a lot of stuff in it and made it nice
