having a youtuber that still does lets play in the "old style" is so refreshing to see im still surprised your on my subscriptions list after the past 8 years. i will definitely start coming back more
@@ScottiMac0007Lionheart is slow and steady. He even speaks at a nice pace where everyone else is in such a rush to get the episode and meta build out.
I think the most stand out thing in Manor Lords, aside from the music and the general look of the game, is the sheer attention to detail; from the puddles forming when it rains, the poor ox getting wetter etc. The amount of little realistic detail is brilliant. Probably my most anticipated game since its demo (after BG3). Also I think the "homeless" notification on your approval rating is just for a previous effect, and not for the current month.
This game looks beautiful. It has to be some unbelievable sorcery used by Slavic Magic to create it, lol. If they add in the future some proper castle stuff like walls, towers, siege equipment, etc. it may become the Ultimate Stronghold game that everyone wished for :)
your slow and steady, aesthetic, vibes-based approach to playing the game is super refreshing amidst all the different Manor Lords content out there! Really enjoying watching this play-through/showcase. If I had to choose ONE feature I'm super stoked about (hard to do) I guess I'd go with the crops/agriculture systems- particularly the emphasis on fertility and homesteading, it absolutely appeals to my permaculture and gardening background!
“Far west, across the sea, there is a land called Leondis (Vinland). It's warm. And fertile. A faraway land, where neither slave traders nor the flames of war reach.”
Definitely my favourite thing with this game is just how easy it is to build more natural looking towns and how I could easily play this as just an medieval economy simulator or include all the raiding and skirmishes and conquest
The thing that stands out the most to me is how you can have cottage industries on your burgage plots. This is very historically accurate as people often had side hustles. In the rural area I live in people have side hustles. One person might do a bit of welding on the side, or is a good carpenter. Back in colonial America the early farms and villages had cottage industries as well. One common one was making nails to be exported, or oddly enough brooms.
I have watched your demo of this game at least a dozen times in the last few months and I was excited to see you are back. Great video I can't wait to see more.
I think the stand out feature for me is the housing with the ability to add the addition at the back and it automatically shows how many houses it is building depending on the size.
I've been waiting for this clip for so long! So glad that you can finally play. I can feel your excitement and I can see that that would be me in two weeks! Good luck LH!
Yep impressed with the overall visuals and music and even the building plot feature and/or snap to road etc... looks like this has a lot of potential!! Enjoyed the video!!!
So many youtubers try to treate their youtube channel as a business or high flying career and moan about the algorithm and expect to be pulling in millions. Its so nice to have someone like you who just does what they love and is just happy to be doing that. You dont need a podcast or a political side channel like the rest try and force. Just keep doing what you love.
The worst part of these kinds of videos is that I start itching to get playing it myself and then see that we're still over a week out until I can possible get to it :P
If I get Manor Lords, the Village I'll create is "Vestia." It has some personal history with the name as its something I use for my personal Roleplays I like to do. What I can imagine I'd do is basically do it like "and this is the story of the Empire of Vestia started, from a small hamlet, to a vibrant empire, to galactic dominium" from tales of woe to stories of conquest... I'm a little exited to what I'll do with this. (this has been happening for 3 years now)
Been waiting for this since the demo came out last year!! So excited. Also ditto on just get lost in the game, being able to run around your village as the headman is such a cool feature
You can actually walk around as your character. And if you zoom out to the large map. You can actually see where your buildings are on the map. Not just a generic village map, but what you’ve actually built.
Set the areas that your woodcutters and loggers will chop trees. If you cut down the trees near bushes the resources will run out, and you can cause wildlife to migrate if you cut away their habitat.
Glad to see this one on the channel, been following it for so long now. So nice to have something new that fulfills The Settlers itch but without the fiddling of Ubisoft. Good timing for me as well as I haven't been able to watch content for ages so I have good backlog of your channel :)
I think that creating the milicia probablw reduces the steqling bw the bandits. they take teh arms only when needed and carry on working as usual. You have to expand the living space on the last house next to the logging area
Peple are coming to the ca....uhm village! Oh no, Thoman killed poor old animal Steve, how sad. But there is a significant lack of Tims in your village. And I don't know how you get stone in this game. I just hate when you can lock yourself into a dead end with some kind of materials, but if you need stone for a quarry to get more stone, you may have had to use it for that instead of the church? As a leader, you should challenge the bandit leader to settle things once and for all. 😉
:) May be an Odd Coincidence, that Mercenary group is called "Flock of Crazy Geese" might be an Easter Egg of an older movie "The Wild Geese". Those guys were also a mercenary group all expert troops but also retirement age.
General note: 1. In order to get your initial supplies under cover the granary and storehouse must be manned to send folk to get the supplies. 2. your homelessness penalty is averaged over the last 6 months so it doesn't go away till 6 months after everyone is in a house.
The makers of this game have really shined the light of criticism over the major studios who make RTS games, because this looks so fantastic. Creative Assembly and Sega can’t even be bothered to make a new total war game. I hope this forces their hand. I can’t wait to buy this end of the month
My only thought so far is I feel like they build everything but when it comes to roads it just magically gets plopped down and created why can't they build the roads to like in banished.
How many times can one use the word 'early' in one sentence 😁- thanks for doing this, I am one of those many who have it on whish list because the combat looks good.
Just kinda learning as I go, I won't be perfect right now, also doesnt help that I just want to stop and watch my village in cinematic mode all the time haha!
Move into Lionhearts new village when all my neighbours are cuntz no thank you!! The game looks amazing the music is great and could just watch the day to day lives of the serfs superb!!

Thanks glad you enjoy my style it's the way I enjoy creating content the most

@@ScottiMac0007 It's a lot more clickbaity.
The plot drawing and the fact your militia consists of your actual villagers is definitely the best

The way you built your houses made me stop watching when I had already committed myself to watching the whole playlist, You changed my mind 25:45
Early early access? Pre early access? No Jurassic early access!
That cinematic cam is beautiful, and might make for some great b-roll/intro footage for ck3 series, just saying.
I can’t wait to start playing this game!!! It’s beautiful, medieval and there is an option to just build without combat 😅
Wow, what a work of art this game is. Wonderful video!
It's A Gorgeous Game Thank you for uploading this Lionheart
Looking around the landscape, where *would* Vikings bury 500 gold after their defeat?
Can tell your British the first road you built had a roundabout we love them over here lol
Manor lords is looking fantastic overall. Great job on the first episode.
Your village just reminds me of a location from Kingdom Come Deliverance or something, it looks amazing
Age of empires on graphical steroids!
I am going to try and roleplay a bit and have a stark banner and name my village winterfell see what I can do with that

This looks very cool. I think I will buy it for my wife, she will love it.
You should have a Timburg later where there is a lot of lumbering.
Can't wait for it to come out. I'm a final fantasy nut.. so Nibelheim will be my town's name to start with
For the algorithm manor 🏰⚔️🏰
This run looks promising
Such a beautiful and well made game. But the micromanagement in the mid- and endgame must be horrible. And i like it. :-D

14 days early? Interesting.
Why did you wait so long to build the church? Would have built that right after planks which i would have made earlier as well
