I have these binoculars. It is interesting that you say they are nearly impossible to use with glasses - I wear glasses all the time and I actually find them really comfortable to use with my glasses; more so than any other binoculars I have, in fact! My glasses sit close to my eyes and perhaps unusually, I have to extend the eyecups on most binoculars to avoid that effect where black vignetted areas flick diagonally across the edges of the view. This is the only pair I have where I don’t have to do this, so with these, for once, I get the fullest field of view possible. They are also far more forgiving of how I position them relative to my eyes than any others I have used. However, I suspect my lack of a need for long eye relief could be pretty unusual for a glasses-wearer.

I totally agree. I am returning a pair of Hawke Endurance EDs because of the "kidney beaning" I get - I have to extend the eye cups on those to see at all through them. These are perfect with my glasses on!

@@lindaking401 Sorry about that - I think it got lost when I edited it. It is interesting that you have noticed the same thing as I did - we might possibly be in a minority of glasses wearers, but it goes to show that the accepted wisdom that all glasses wearers need binoculars with long eye relief and also have to retract the eyecups to be able to use them is not necessarily true for all, as the "kidney beaning" we both saw comes from the eye not being far enough from the eyepiece optics - the opposite problem from that normally assumed to affect glasses wearers. Our experience underlines that vision is an individual thing, and so are facial dimensions affecting the distance between the eye and the eyepieces of the binoculars (my eyes don't look unusually prominent!). So some glasses wearers may not need to rule out binoculars with shorter eye relief after all. Unfortunately it's something which requires in-person testing of binoculars prior to purchase, which is not always easy, but at least it's something which a person only needs to discover once, and then they can bear it in mind going forward.

Thanks for this comment. When she said that, I perked up. I don't own them, but am considering buying. I have no reason to believe wearing glasses would make them impossible to use.

Does the Voretex Diamondback line of binoculars use ED glass? Just not clear what HD (high density, high definition) means as so many companies use the term.

fwiw, No according to a recent review of the DBack HD 10x42 on the allbinos website. Wherein they wrote,
"At the beginning we should warn our Readers about some inconsistencies concerning the nomenclature of Vortex binoculars. In Viper HD or Razor HD series the HD letters mean that low dispersion glass elements are present in optical system but it is not the case of the Diamondback HD.
... On the other hand, though, chromatic aberration can be corrected well also by a well-designed optical system based on ordinary glass so I suppose Vortex shouldn't be criticized too harshly too soon... you still can buy this pair of binoculars for about 250 Euro. ...: for a sensible amount of money you get a shapely, lightweight pair of binoculars and its basic parameters are in perfect accordance with official claims of the producers. We feel such an instrument will be a huge joy to use.... Still, for such a sum of money you also shouldn't expect any miracles; ..."

That being said, I have the DB 8x32 HD binoculars, I think they're pretty good for sub $200 price. Not as optically sharp, bright, and as free of CA as binoculars in the $700~$900 or higher price class. Ergonomically pretty good, plus small and light weight. Maybe that helps to answer your question.
