  • C47 jump over Carentan with the Round Canopy Parachute Team. 5 June 2015. Just before the first stick was about to exit the crew chief noticed a smoking engine (he points it out) and emergency bailout procedures are conducted. This was honestly the greatest jump thus far in my airborne career.

I know this one isn't D-Day... but imagine it is night sky, spotlights everywhere... and bullets raining up trying to get you...

Jumping right onto Purple Heart lane. Next to where Lt Col Cole led his charge and got the CMOH.

Jumpy Johnson (RIP) fought on D-Day with 150 paratroopers of the 502 PIR; Further to the sea is Brevands and the footbrige were 3/506 PIR fought under the command of captain Sheetle.Far away, Utah beach and the sea. I've been (and slept in a marshy field) there in july 2020

Jumping the dream or nightmare of a night jump over enemy fire. Great job guys! Very fortunate enough once to jump out of a pre-WWII DC-3/C-47 in Texas. Loved the experience.

Propel have asked me why I want to be a paratrooper. So that I may experience a small part of what those who jumped on June 6th of 1944 did.

Is it some kind of right of passage for paratroopers to have jumped over Normandy?

aouch ! The touchdown is strong ! I'm French and in paratrooper familiar language we say "ce viander sur le tapis" but in military paratrooper language we have two world in fonction if we not want jump (we says "refuser la porte") or if we loose the touchdown (we says "refuser le sol")

How high was that jump? Maybe it was just the camera lens but it looked like you jumped from like 2500ft! Very nice though, I would love to have a C-47 on my jump log.

With the time in the air, I'd say it was only 1500 feet.

Timothy Burton Yeah, it is probably just the wide angle lens making everything appear further away.
