Ok it is old post, but it is relevant today on Android 13. So what I have tried: Delete all accounts - non Battery manipulation settings/doze - non Reinstallation of Gmail to factory - non Cache delete - non What was worked only and on several phones: 1. Delete accounts 2. Delete Google Play services - Storage data 3. Delete Play store - Storage data From this moment works everything and I am feel that whole notifications from app work as it should.

None of these fixed mine. Been through this crap before but this time nothing fixes it! I'm in trucking and I need to open load emails immediately or I miss the loads I have to stare at my phone all dadgum day and continue to refresh to see the new emails. NOTHING I do makes the damn thing make a sound! It will not do it!! Pisses me off! Yahoo Mail isn't loud enough or I'd use it!
