I heard in a podcast that said, “it’s important to live life by design rather than emotion. Basically, sticking to a routine is what allows us to be the healthiest version of ourselves (especially when you're fighting these demons ex. OCD for me).
I’ve had to overhaul how I approach taking care of my brain (exercise, journaling, studying etc) by practising mediocre consistency. Now I try to put in consistent 40-60% effort into my journaling habit - to make sure I do it I began recording it and posting it on my yt channel. After a really bad depression phase I started to believe I couldn’t change and I’d feel that horrible forever.
Historically I have a habit of going too hard, not being able to sustain the Herculean effort, giving up and hating myself. So now I’m trying to give a small, consistent mediocre effort everyday. And its crazy how it adds up. I’m still figuring out how to be a person again, reintegrate into society but right now I have a solid foundation that I’ve never had before.
Well no wonder i havent seen her in so long she hasnt posted in a year 😭
I’m glad you were able to take a much needed break from YT but I’m even more glad to see you back with the vlogs
so awesome to see your growth! I followed you years ago while in college and I really enjoyed your videos about style & fashion... fast forward to now, I'm 27 and a new esthetician breaking into my new industry. I'm so happy you're back! we've grown and still share interests, just different ones! Keep up your work in wellness, It's tough somedays but I know the reward of it will reach us soon!

I’m glad you started to talk about weight! I am in same position right now. In 2020 i realized how i have been exercising for wrong reasons for 10 years! To make this short.. now i have gained plus 10 kilos to my normal weight. At the same time i have the healthiest relationship with my body in 10 years!! I will no longer try to shape my body to the society’s expectations. I am happy, healthy, curvy and strong 🧚🏽♂️
But yes, thank you Amy 💖 always loving your energy and the vibe of your vlogs.

I really appreciate this channel. I appreciate the community, all of it. I had my last therapy session two weeks ago, and honestly, that therapist kinda didn’t do anything. What happened to self actualization?
Life coach? People whose life is basically a dumpster fire should not be telling others how to live their life.
I've watched a few of Amy's videos over the past 2-3 years and have come to the conclusion she suffers from depression and has had a mental breakdown. She's also a regular drug user by her own admission.
life coaching lessons should be done by people who are successful and happy and have made good choices in work, relationships and health, not by people whose life is f*&ked up.
The only advice Amy should be giving is don't do what I did and don't end up like me.

what lesson is she trying to teach because the only one that makes sense is 'don't do what I did and don't end up like me'.
I'm not trying to be mean here, I hope Amy eventually finds some peace and happiness but the idea that she wants to advise young girls how to lead their life is scary.

Do you also realize that majority of the time (therapists for example) literally go into those types of fields because they can’t fix themselves so they fix others? Why is that necessarily a bad thing, most people I know who go to coaches/etc. say how well they do their jobs.

Amy is the equivalent of someone who smashed up their car multiple times but now wants to open up a driving school.
