Philippine educational instructions are in english. Even books some were authored from US or in europe especially in engineering and sciences but, there are courses that needed to passed the boared or bar before being admitted for employment recognized by the government. Schooling in the Philippines is affordable even in schools rated highly in the world rankings. The problem, if you migrated to countries known economically well-off, these countries made it hard for them to be employed, some countries required them to take another board or repeat some subjects. Maybe, it's hightime now that discrimination be erased or each countries must do the needful if so many migrants who worked abroad could automatically admitted for employment on the same courses. Why? Even some professors in Philippine universities and colleges are graduates in prestigious schools in USA and europe.

The pinoy race is a happy race. However this is a disadvantage too. Theyre so happy that they will never be serious to improve to their maximum. Bec the quest for perfection is all about being serious most would rather cut corners just to get it over with and back to happy activities. The phils is lagging behind its Asean neighbors, govt is awfully corrupt yet people dont care because theyre happy with their lives

@aquidgamefanboy, the word VERY FLUENT Filipinos in English applies to many educated Filipinos but their number is minute--very little, compared to the majority of Filipinos whose English is just fine, let's put it that way. We have DISTINCT FILIPINO ACCENT that is NOT American accent. Also even some educated ones struggle in English conversations. But no doubt we are very good and also much better in written English than spoken. Our English news both written and on TV is equally good with American news. Overall, we can't really say we are VERY fluent. WE ARE NOT. Just fine.

The Filipinos having a good command of the English language should not be a surprising fact anymore. The chosen method of delivery for teaching is AMERICAN STANDARD ENGLISH from nursery to tertiary. All businesses and government departments use English. The first words we use to talk to babies is English! How in the world does the rest of the non-english speaking countries not copy this? 😂
It’s not like we abandoned our national language, we still learn Filipino in school and speak Tagalog in general as well as communicate with our own native tongue at home (for those who have one). FYI: Filipino, the language, is a formalized form of Tagalog. Filipino is the language, Tagalog is the dialect. The one you hear locals use in the street is Tagalog.
It still amazes me when someone asks how I learned English… We had 4 English subjects from 3rd grade to college; writing, reading, literature and phonetics. 🤭
Also, the Philippines still retain the competitive spirit in school. It’s the “you got 90 because it’s the best you can do vs you got 100 because that’s all there is to get”. No participation trophy there. I hope they keep it that way because there’s a chance the new generation might want to copy the US mentality of “you pass everyone because you don’t want to hurt their feelings” crap.

If these foreign students are from mainland China, 3 things to be considered why they are in the PH.
1.) They are real students whose intentions are really to study in the PH.
2.) One of the ways to get out of China now is to apply as foreign students. The CCP made it difficut for mainland Chinese to get out of the country. Possibilities that these Chinese students will overstay in the country to get out of China. They are doing that here in the U.S. to overstay after finishing their school year.
3.) These mainland Chinese students could be connected to the CCP as spies for China just like those students that were denied entry to the US last month because of their connection with the CCP.

Why? Philippines educational instructions are in english. Books on subjects were even imported from US and other countries depending on recognized origins of popular or known instructional materials. Students from english speaking countries could easily adapt in schools. If you are a foreigner, whose language are different, they could easily learn english as, filipino students are friendly they will be your stepping stones to learn more english and filipino languages as, students are friendly and conversant. Schooling in the Philippines, have much lower tuitions than in known schools abroad. Students transportations are cheap and alway available anywhere you go unlike in other countries. To know better, try visit the Philippines, to know which schools are classified as better ranked in the world. Schools like University of the Philippines, most students are government scholars. Universities like, La Salle, Ateneo, Sto. Thomas in Metro Manila are highly ranked school and there are schools too in visayas and mindanao, with good educational qualities. Students from abroad will surely enjoy in the Philippines, since filipinos are friendly and they could easily assimilate. Let it be known, some teachers and professors are learned their professions such, Harvard, Stanford and other known schools in US, Europe and other countries abroad.

There are way cheaper schools around the world but not so welcoming as the Philippines and the culture - not diverse at all. Students love to learn... and have fun, too. With The Philippines being the only Christian nation in Asia, you can expect these young foreign students to enjoy their student lives in various ways - there's the people, the cities and the unlimited things they can offer, and the very accessible mountains and beaches.👍🏿 Not to mention, the level of education in The Philippines is quite competitive worldwide and the teachers and Filipino student alike are very much patient and eager to share their learnings to young people from around the world.👍🏿 If you are a foreign student and would like to live in a place where you can easily be one with the locals, The Philippines is the place to go and study.👍🏿

Who wouldn't want to go to school in cheap paradise? A few bucks makes them look rich.
Many years ago, Philippines used to be the playground of rich people from Middle East. Their kids goes to school there complete with driver and housemaids. Who's rich parents wouldn't want that for their children?
Our tourists back then are rich people. Unlike today, a lot of tourists are budget tourists. Some are credit card tourists. Foreigners marrying Filipinas back then were rich guys and willing what ever it cost to marry a Filipina. Marriage with foreigners back then was rare because the opportunity was slim through penpal writing. It was rare until US military bases had arrived.

Probably we have a spiritual connection the closeness and the strong bonding of Filipinos and Israel because of our spiritual beliefs.

Please define affordable. You say education, restaurant, accomodations are affordable but don't mention any figures. If you are converting from US dollars, Euro, or Sterling, yes the Philippines is affordable. However, prices are really going up. For those living in The Philippines and earning in Philippine pesos, things are expensive.

To consider for foreign student they were so cheap to live in our country cause they were using the U.S dollar currency when the money is converted to Philippine currency they multiply the value 50 x there fore it would be cheap but for locals the cost of living were huge already cause we earn in minimum wages daily those were the realities
Try to make a video contents by earning a minimum wages income for 1 month and try to survived it for 1 month if you can survived it for a month of expenses

Not all. Educated Americans do speak and write fluently especially graduates from highly prestigious schools like MIT, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Georgetown. Like everywhere, some people don’t pursue higher learning but that does not mean their intellectual growth is stunted - some self-educate and end up well-versed and successful.
