  • Here’s one of our current projects, a giant church remod. Adding a 28’ wide x 38’ tall octagonal cathedral. Basically slicing into an existing church with very expensive finishes that need to be preserved doing the build out process. It has 80k flooring, imported from Italy, as well as lower levels with finished trim and drywall, tongue and groove ceilings, a priceless hand carved “icon” wall and many other obstacles that prevent this from being completed using a normal construction order of operations. As a result we have to install the main structural steel, and do as much prefab on the ground as possible to minimize the amount of open roof time. The three wings that are additions can be built mostly without disrupting the existing building, it’s only the main roof/octogan section that will require careful planning. In addition to the weather issue, we also have to make sure it retains its structural integrity while we cut and slice it it appart to install the new steel. Anyway, here’s a quick tour of the project so far.
