Using the Lectron Vortex Plug I got some of the fastest charging speeds I have ever had. The charging speed held even at higher states of charge. This is an awesome option and you can purchase one using this link: shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=1524411&u=4289895&m=96492&urllink=&afftrack=
Great video--I don't own a Rivian or any EV at this time, but I found this really interesting. I really enjoy your videos and hope to be part of the Rivian Community with a R2 in a couple of years. Thanks for posting this--I always learn a lot and really appreciate your positive energy.
Duke...Tesla DOES indeed charge non-Tesla EVs more than Tesla vehicles. Non-Tesla rates are usually 30-35% higher than Tesla rates, and can range from $0.48-$0.55 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). However, non-Tesla drivers can get the same rates as Tesla owners by subscribing to a Supercharging Membership for $12.99 per month.
The Supercharger I went to charges by the time of day. The rates on Tesla's website is the same rate I paid. I even checked the Superchargers that are not open to non Teslas, and the rate was the same $0.51 per KWH from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm which is what I paid. I thought it was suppose to be more for me, but it wasn't. Thanks for commenting!
Nice Truck! I cannot understand why anybody would want an F-150 Lightning. Besides, Rivian will survive, provide parts, service and updates. I am a Tesla owner,...Rivian has the potential to be a major vehicle brand; Ford and/or GM will disappear 👈🏾
No Tesla account needed with Rivian. You just plug it in and it's charged to your credit card account you have on file with Rivian. You will get a receipt to your email from Rivian.

Good ol Wally’s in Central Illinois. The favorite stop for EV drivers. I’ll stop there whenever I’m driving down.
Hey Sir! Why is there always seem to be that one person who feels like it’s their duty to tell you how to charge correctly 😅
She approached me because she didn't believe I could or should be charging a Rivian at a supercharger.
@@thedukeofmiddleville Absolutely, she was charging herself up to go off on you. You diffused the situation perfectly, sad that you had to do it.
I charged my R1T today on a Tesla SC using the A2Z adapter, no issues at all. Nice having options ⚡
More options is always better especially in these early days where the charging infrastructure is limited and unreliable.
Thanks for sharing!

I guess it's time for me to buy one of those now. Thanks for the review man.
@@brianbeans2190 It works great, and I got tired or waiting😅
I learn so much from your channel about my Rivian. Thanks!
The plug in process seems pretty easy but how about paying? Do you need a special app or an account?

How to pay Tesla when you buy those adapters?
Tesla only gets paid if you use their superchargers.
Did u make a Tesla account to use charging station???
Rivians plug & charge at Tesla superchargers, so you don’t need a Tesla account…unless you subscribe for $12.99/month to get lower per kWh rates.
