I'm only 3 weeks deep into learning about graffiti and haven't even scratched the surface but I've seen a handful of your videos and they're all really helpful and informative and encouraging. Pretty rad artist, awesome teacher. Like, a modern day Bob Ross...but with graffiti 🤷🏻♀️
I'm a new student to the art of lettering. I accidentally found your channel ..I'm so glad. No mistakes, right? I love graffiti. My city does a guided graffiti tour every sumer. We get a map and at every stop there's food and good music. It's a great way to actually get to meet the "Outlaw Artists" in broad daylight. Sci, they can see and feel our appreciation for their talent. Actually, my city, Everett Washington, encourages artists who do this. Lots of businesses hire them to paint on the walls of their buildings. If so, forward thinking! You're my first graffiti tutorial! Thank you. I've already gone broke buying brush pens for my lettering. Looks like I'll be spending more money on markers. But here's the good news. Crayola Broadline markers are a GREAT INEXPENSIVE WAY for new students of all styles of lettering. Of course, I've spent tons on Tombow fude dual- tip brush pens... but I started with both sizes of Crayola broadline and the slimmer super tips. Did you start learning your amazing talent? You're very EXCELLENT!
This is a great way to help me with shadows for my letters. I learned by using refrigerators magnet letters and then shining a light on them from different angles. It helped me SO MUCH!
Amazing tutorial as always. You’re helping me out a lot. Used to draw a lot, then ‘adulting’ happened lol and finally realised I want to get back into it- for real now. No year long breaks. Anyway, keep it up man, thanks for helping us all out. You rock
I’ve honestly never gone for copic because of the price. These feel like a really fair price for the quality. I’m using basic paper in this video and they still had great colors
Sive what does alcohol markers mean? And when you draw on a paper using the alcohol marker will the other side of the paper also be visible of the paint
It refers to the medium that supplies the pigment. Like a sharpie for example is an alcohol based marker. They are common to bleed through the paper as you have described. They are not like paint that gets applied only to the top surface
Love what you do man keep up the great graffiti. I’m trying my hand at some graffiti but don’t have insta got any tips for me, love to hear what you have to say
Your shadows have to pop more with double and triple blending for a better 3rd dimensional look... I've been doing shockwave Graffiti since 1983 at age 15... Now I do 3D layouts like DAIM using all shapes and line work
It’s been many years since I used a prisma so super hard to say how they compare. The ohuhu were great so I can definitely recommend from that perspective
@@S1VE thanks for the feedback man. I dk why youtube deleted my comment but i just looked up those Ohuhu markers, im thinking of buying them. Also i really like that blue letter E. Could i borrow it? Lol
Sive I dont think this is '3d graffiti.' That would be stuff like Totem2's or Baresk's work no? Is a more accurate title not 'how to add 3d to graffiti letters.' Nice work as usual though👍
Hmmm, I would still call directional and vanishing point 3d letters. Totem2 is certainly a next level with a 2-point perspective although I’m not sure there is a common name for that level that has been adopted
I learned it the way Bilbobert describes it... never heard the term wildsytle 3D though... the difference to the styles you use here is that there is mostly no clear outline to follow so it actually looks like a real 3 dimensional object combine that with a drop shadow and it looks even more real. Its so hard to learn a sick 3D style ... I only know 2 people who really learned to master it.
I think the whole red letter E should have a 3D under It(You have added the 3D only on the end, at the bottom). You might have missed it bro...Still dope piece
Lol another thing - the orange extension at the end under the green arrow, also is missing the 3D. If I am wrong, feel free to correct me. Not looking for beef, just pointing out! Everyone makes mistakes!
the red V? it has a vanishing point 3d so it will not have a consistent angle to all of the 3d. This helps make it expand out rather than all come at the same direction.
You're progressing a lot dude. I remember thinking you were pretty wack(no offense) but that first rainbow colored piece is pretty nasty. good shit man.
@@S1VE that was at least like 7 years ago. and I worded it wrong. I should have said I wasn't a fan of your pieces back then. That rainbow one is solid!
@@S1VE don't worry I'm not confused because I know all the rules in graffiti and I think you explained it very clearly to someone who needs a help in this topic Sometimes I'm just picky and I like to point out this little mistakes, I didn't mean to be rude
Oooh. I would argue that you begin with the hardest to learn. Bubbly letters are way harder to get - compared to boxes. You still know ur sh*t and have emaculate teaching skills… so maybe just grab my comment as inspo if you decide to teach more about 3D and dropshadows… I teach it with to pens in the hand at the same time. Darwing cubes and rectangular boxes. Afterwards connecting and filling. It builds understand of 3D-space… bubbly letters is lesson 11 😄
Good looking out! Im familiar with the double pen style, definitely a nice hack, but not as transferable to other mediums. Something to cut in on the next one maybe
Yo bro..your teaching that all wrong homie..how you should be telling them how to..is put a where the sgadow is goin and use a ruler and go from each point on the letter to the dot on paper..that give you the shadow perspectives...jus saying..if u teach it do it rite homie....
Yeah having a vanishing point shadow is definitely a style for a single point light source. I guess I was more so speaking to a diffused uniform light source

I was looking into these ohuhu markers a great alternative to copics.

Love all the content , your tutorials always help so much
Stay up boss!
ive been waiting so long for you to post
Do a color blocking video or how you blend colors next !
Definitely never done a blending tutorial, that could be fun
Excellent Video! Glad You Tube featured you on it's calligraphy day.
Very kind gesture! Best of luck on your creative endeavors 🤘🏼
Do you use the oposit color to make the out lines pop out right ??? And also you mix to type of the same range of color to give them deep effect.?😊
Oh my God you're good. I was writing my comment so long I missed the first part of this. Now I'm watching and you're so good. 👍 😊
Good idea on using the lines to make shadows
When’s the sticker submission video coming out?
Looking sick as per usual
Too kind 🤘🏼
Nice Video!! Waiting on April’s sticker submissionnn
My dude is always droppin some DOPE SHIT!
How much for the bag of color markers and where did you purchased it? Great video 👌

These are graphic markers from ohhuhu
I Love all your drawing that do ❤ very cool

they are totally different styles. I prefer alcohol based for black books, and paint markers for stickers. @@Dimath-e2u

These Ohuhu were super solid in the books

It’s a big sketch book from hobby lobby
Yes bro good tutorial. I like it. I’m from Polynesian French.
Hey hey!
Yo sive when’s the next sticker submission video gonna be uploaded
A couple weeks out

you should make the last piece a sticker and sell it on your big cartel
