After firing it up again, youll wanna get the engine really really hot, so the water down in the crankcase will evaporate, and also drip some oil through the sparkplug holes before storing it away. Water in the crankcase will rust the bearings over time. So get it really hot after sinking, and oil it, and the engine Will live a long time👍

Have you ever heat-seized an engine? The piston gets scorched and loses compression. It is almost impossible to get a heavy steel crank so hot it seizes. It is lubrication or rust that does it every time. Ive been building and riding watercross sleds for 7 years. Do you recommend them to leave the water in the engine?

I misread and thought you were actually smarter than you really are but it’s all good at least you ski guys think skipping on flat water is cool. Boating out here in the gulf and Atlantic takes much more skill so don’t try too argue that either lmao

Here is a recovery tip....a single automotive sized innertube will lift that thing. You get a scuba tank and put a first stage regulator on it (leave it in the boat). The first stage makes about 130 PSI so you just adapt it to a standard compressed air hose and Schrader valve inflator. You then tie or clip the tube to the machine and inflate it with the air hose. I have recovered dozens of things using this scheme.
It could me a medical condition. My buddy has whatever it’s called and he’s very self conscious about it to the point where he got surgery. Kind of a Dick move son.
They're a real treat when it's the middle of winter to recover. Especially mangled. I recovered one from a fatality in lake George last year for the sheriff's department.
