There is a mark on the outside made by a pen. You should rotate until the marks match on both sides. Teflon pipe tape is used to make the threads leak-proof. If it leaks after replacement of filter, buy a roll of teflon tape and wind it around the threads on the filter top. Then close it as mentioned earlier. Teflon tapes are inexpensive and can be purchased from any hardware store that sells plumbing materials.

Hi... The sediment filter that u used is of 6inches... The actual filter of the same aquaguard is 7.5 inches... I tried using the one which u recommended but it dant fits and the water leaks from everywhere else. Any idea how can this be fixed?

For other bigger size Pureit models, germ kill kit is only like carbon filter, but for this model, full set of filters in the purifier, such as pre & post ro filters, etc

Hi, sediment filter costs rs 240 for this model in filterkart website, I ll share the link in my next comment. If we do the service properly, there won't be any problem, it's easy to do maintenance. 4 months once need to change the sediment filter. If water quality in tank is very poor, in between open sediment filter and clean it and put back same. Then yearly once need to change full germ kill kit, it will cost 2100. If having any other doubt, ask me.
