I love this performance. In this same church Tarja also covered Slipknot. She sang Vermillion pt. 2. There is a video here on RUclips on the Wacken TV channel with 6 performances by Tarja, including Ohne dich, which you just watched, and Vermillion. In the description of this video there is the name of the songs for you to click and be taken directly to the song you want.
It's beautiful. Tarja's version is much more emotional than Rammstein's, which is sung with rather even voice. And also, it's played with acoustic instruments entirely. Both versions are good: I'm sure Rammstein fans love their version, but wouldn't be surprised if they appreciate this cover too. I think the song deserves to be interpreted, and also this way.
We definately share the love for the godess of metal Tarja! Also singing in german must be pretty hard for everyone who doesn't know the language! I think she got first in contact while being studying classical music in germany!
Thank you so much for the treat! I love her rendition of "Ohne Dich", very beautifu indeed. The original is, in my opinion, also very mellow and melancholic for Rammstein and Tarja made it more dramatical with her tone. It seemed you need to cool down from the heat and please take it easy since you are still recovering.
Absolutely, Rammstein's version is mellow, and Tarja's more emotional pumps up dramatic feeling into it. Good song request!

If you want a song to react that is completely out of left field you should check out Blackmore's Night - Storm.
Blackmore's Night is the folk acoustic band that Richie Blackmore made after Deep purple / Rainbow rock days. The storm is probably my favorite song ever made by him and its closest in my opinion that you can get to symphonic metal with just acoustic instruments.
