Your Arane reactions are great, so much better that many other. I know that, i think i watch them almost all^^
Really enjoyng it, stay as you are....sry 4 my bad english.
You're basically saying that opposite attracts when it comes to Vi and Caitlyn, right?
23:38 the build up in the dinner scene was such detailed how Vi is looking around before looking at jinx straight in the eyes. It was she fully see how far gone powder is and dinner scene with all there dead friends is haunting cause vi knows the pain but powder is reliving everything every moment and when powder put the *last dish* in the table you can fully see how raw unfiltered fear running through Vi's mind every split second her breathing uncontrollable she knows what might be in there and she is screaming inside both for jinx and Caitlyn. The way jinx emphasize the what's in the plate Vi is Panicking she is in dissarray she is screaming please don't let it be it. And she is in disbelief on Jinx what may jinx be. When Jinx Said *I paid 6ou GF a visit* if a span of just seconds her face and emotions just burst you can literally tell the turmoil in her heart and mind fear, worry, pain, disbelief, suffering, slowly tearing from the eyes before a blimp pace of Caitlyn she avoids it cause she can no longer accept it. Vi is literally breaking down faster than how she lost both powder and Vander at first act it's so visually amazing how just that mere seconds you can see the face of someone whose about to lost someone so important to her. And when. Jinx take of the lid and reveals the gemstone a sudden brief of relief on her face like "its fine she's still safe alive" you can see how Caitlyn becomes vi everything and that transition to Vi saying she'll go with powder implys she's willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to make sure Caitlyn is safe and jinx can get her sister back in a twisted sibling love that's how it becomes Caitlyn is now Vi's Heart her Significant other. Vi is Willing to cut her heart off and disappear if it meant Caitlyn is coming home in one Piece. Just so awesome in just minutes of exchange dialouges
Before even watching I gotta say that the light cosplays you do every episode are a very nice touch.

I love this and the relationship. As a lesbian I find most lesbian relationships in TV boring and to perfect. Or oversexualized. Vi and Caitlin are realistic, complex and entertaining. I love it.

You should have brought up Cailtyn´s flashback with Enforcer Grayson where she asks "What are you shooting for?" and next time Caitlyn shot her gun it was to protect Vi. Not only she saved Vi but she also learned what being an Enforcer means to her.
Oh damn that gave me chills. OOOH love it
Not only that. She handled over that gun as "payment" for Vi's medicine, that almost certainly saved her life... for the third time in total. She literally disarmed herself, symbolically gave away her status as an enforcer, her "means to protect her people", in order to protect Vi.
@@Eponumon Yeah Caitlyn is definitely the most purest of good character in the entire cast, all ways tries to think what's best for everybody.
Another cool but "blink & you'll miss it" moment, is when they are on the bridge & Jinx opens fire on them, Cait's first instinct is to shield Vi from the incoming bullets while Vi's instinct is to push Cait out of harm's way.

*Sees that the video is 26 minutes long: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!*
SO happy you liked how long it was. I hope you liked it.
@@GeorgiaDow Absolutely! Vi is my favourite character, and I love how Caitlyn brings out the sides of her that makes her an amazing character, her vulnerability and hurt, that otherwise only comes out with Vander in the show. Yes I enjoyed every second
You came from “her good friend Caitlyn” to “her girlfriend” that, my friends, is character development at it’s finest
hehe
As a lesbian i find vi and caitlyn one of the best female/female love stories i've seen in tv. It's so good
very good
Yes. Shows how personalities can change for the better or stay the same. Depends on the relationship. I love their relationship!
Agreed. I find a lot of TV shows and movies make the mistake of wanting to point out gay characters. Like look look these characters are so gay for each other do you see how gay they are? Where as this all felt very natural. I wasn't even sure at first if Vi and Caitlyn were really into each other. This is how it should be done -naturally and treated as normal not as some kind of circus.
Plus they only met half way through season 1 and their connection is *this* strong
As a lesbian as well, I AGREE
I'm surprised you didn't mention how Caitlin readily gave up her gun, her greatest asset and valued skill, in order to save Vi
i also love the symbolic part of cait crossing the line 1:40 showing her actively breaking through the barrier of "get lost" vi is putting up and willing to get closer
Something that goes overlooked by most because we're spending so much time with Vi trying to save powder from silco and we see Jinx struggling with her trauma. No one talks about how Vi was literally saved from her hell, which was a horrendous situation of being in a prison for years, were she was beaten "countless" times by the guards.
yes good point
@@GeorgiaDow To expand on his point: They don't show much, but based on what they do show, it's seems that Stillwater is quite the black hole, it's probably more harsh than a lot of the worst prisons in the real world. Prisoners aren't called by their names, they given numbers, which is probably why Vi has her name tattooed on her face, she's not just 516, she's Vi and having it on her face, puts her name in other people's faces, so that they can remember who she is. They do so much to ensure the erasure of someone in that place that no one, not even a crime boss like Slico, knew she was even there.
@@MistyKathrine Silco not knowing was probably intentional on the part of the new Enforcer Chief (forgot his name). When he first takes Vi he mentions that Silco would kill her, he probably thinks that keeping Vi alive somehow makes up for his mistake in getting Vander killed, but still sees her as a criminal and doesn't care that her whole life is gone to hell anyway.
@@thaddeushamlet Even then, it's pretty clear that not much information gets out of the prison. It's a black hole. Even if Marcus wasn't willing to say anything, if this was a normal prison, people, especially Silco would have found out she was there.
@@MistyKathrine this is a particularly good point because many of the prisoners and guards work for silco, the the fact that he doesn't know Vi is there is definitely a concentrated effort, but even though Silco has reach in the prisons, he doesn't go there, which is why it can be kept secret. Vi's prison and arrest records are basically all redacted/blank, so it wouldn't show to anyone with access to the system.
on the other hand, silco wanted that guy silenced, and vi did it, and it was implied she did it on Silco's orders...not that he ordered her specifically to do it, but he ordered it done, and someone down the line made sure Vi was the one to do it. She was the perfect scapegoat because it seems she's accustomed to solitary and she gives no fucks anyway. it's an interesting juxtaposition that Vi feels like she knows what silco is up to, yet doesn't know what happened to powder or that Silco has been raising her, and silco basically runs the prison classic crime boss style, yet doesn't realize Vi is there, or else he's certainly have her killed.
all that said...there are prisons like that in our world. like that, and worse.
I think you missed something deep about the shower scene... Yes you are absolutely right that Caitlyn was replaying that moment in the rain inside her head for the different outcome, but you did not notice the outcome she was trying to wordlessly say in that scene.
That scene the animators made it so that her leg wound was bleeding into the water, mixing with the water, and at the last moments you see Caitlyn bite her lip and shaking her head "no". The meaning behind the lip bite and the head shake is something like "No Vi, I will not just forget you" and that blood mixing with water scene is Caitlyn's wordless response to Vi saying "we can be blood and water, not oil and water, different but meant to be (meant to mix together)"
Oh love that analysis =) yes yes yes very well said. oil and water to blood and water. Fab one thanks for this gave me chills
you watched that Schnee video. Didn’t you?
I always thought VI was sorta smiling after seeing Cait with that girl because earlier, VI asks Cait "So, Girl or Boy?" and we see that Cait chose girl. So VI knows that Cait is into girls and now VI knows she can continue to hit on her and stuff without making her uncomfortable.
Yes that is a good point also
@@GeorgiaDow aa thank you for the reply! ^ ^ really been loving all of your videos
Yeah I think it was both "wow she's good at this" and "wow she's into girls 😮"
@@Nata-ch2bk yeah exactly!
I disagree, if she ordered a guy we all know what the guy would expect from her. Obviously she chose a girl.
I liked that their relationship wasnt screaming " I am gay" their relationship was sooo natural and human , I really cant believe that for the first time I understand every character in the show....seriously Arcane was amazing, you cant really blame anyone for actiong the way they do and I love how complex and human every character in the show was , the fact that you as a therpaist can explain every character shows how well the show was done :)
Word. What defines Vi and Cait's relationship is their chemistry, not the gay part. That's one of the most mature and natural writing of the start of a gay relationship that I've seen in fiction so far. We're just focusing on the actual emotions and attraction, and not on the socio-cultural implications
@@Nata-ch2bk yes exactly, for the first time for a while I felt like LGBT relationship was done right in the show/movie
It’s done really well but you gotta admit that shit was fast. Like, less than a day, right?
@@riastradh True but even though it's fast, it still makes sense.
They've had a great chemistry right away, their personalities fit well together, and in one day they were put in some traumatic situations like having to protect one another, being kidnapped, etc, stuff that they had to deal with together and that bonded them fast, just as explained by Georgia in the video.
And even though their feelings for each other grew very fast, they still haven't officially admitted that they should be in a romantic relationship, so in truth it's not as fast as it seems

@@GeorgiaDow 7:59 I reckon, You have just figured it out. Keep it up. I am also want to hear your thoughts on arcane 2. (Hopefully they will release it)
In the scene at 16:07 I love how just for half a second, Caitlyn's eyes dart from Vi's eyes to her lips. A very subtle hit about wanting to do more to provide comfort.
Vi eyes are pretty much locked on Caitlyn’s lips too!
As someone with avoidant attachment, when I see Vi and the way she is with Cait as their relationship develops, even before they met she must have been desperate for someone to be vulnerable with, despite it being a near impossibility. Obviously they have natural chemistry, but the fact that Caitlyn gives her a safe space to let herself be taken care of by another person is one of the single most important things Caitlyn could have done. Avoidants WANT to be vulnerable. But finding someone to do that with is incredibly difficult. Cait being that for her is a huge reason why Vi bonds with her. She just lucked out on Cait being a genuinely good person who wouldn’t try to play her for personal gain.
I would love to see a video on Heimerdinger. Heimerdinger is a character who, is a genuinely good person, but who I think lacks empathy for humans, a species who lives so much shorter than he does. If I'm correct Heimerdingers species lives for hundreds of years while we barely live to 90 if were lucky. What proves this (or what I believe is proof) is that he has essentially been ruling all of Piltover, including the lanes, for I believe 200 years and has done little to nothing to help the people of the lower city. I think when we see him go to the lanes its the first time he has actually seen the state of things. And I think that he realizes that he's at fault.
yes I just may
Yep he is definitely at fault and has a shit ton to do to make up for it. Good thing is he lives for centuries and can start making up for it.
He is like Yoda. Or elves in LOTR. So old and disconnected they are out of touch. They aren't malicious and can understand when given the chance. My grandmother is 99 years old and I can talk to her more about some things than her son (my dad).any things she just doesn't realize because decades blur together. Not willful ignorance.
Depends on the person and how things are explained to them.
On the flipside, Heimer is 1) absolutely correct in that Jayce and Viktor evolved hextech way too early, I mean the literal day Jayce and Vik revealed the gemstone to Heimer it gets stolen and later becomes a weapon used against piltover and 2) was never any kind of ruler nor thought of himself as one, he was the head of the academy and because of his age he was part of the council, but he had no part in the politics at play by the other council members to disenfranchise the undercity. His role since piltover's foundation was always purely academic and scientific, it's insane to expect him to do everything with the academy, and be the one in charge of making decisions for the undercity like cmon
@@jansonshrock2859 Heimer's lack of empathy is a serious obstacle to him explaining himself and convincing people of his generally correct concerns.
Also there's the BIG failure in not understanding or even doing... anything to help the plight of the Undercity.
Another thing with the scene where Caitlyn attempts to clean Vi up with a clothe, if I remember correctly, the last time an enforcer approached Vi with a clothe towards her face was when Marcus used a clothe to knock her out and drag her away from her sister. This is probably another reason why she deflected the clothe!
I think one of the best scenes that I loved between the two that you didn't include in the video is when Caitlyn is convincing Ekko to let her take the gem back and Vi's expressions when she realises just how much Caitlyn actually cares about people and how not everyone from Piltover just doesn't care about the undercity at all. It was one of the moments that showed how the attraction between the two was growing even more, and to me it jumped out as how you look at someone when you really admit to yourself just how much you like someone.
yes a touching moment
I love this moment too and I consider it as really important, beacuse I think there's much more for Vi's character development than just seeing Caitlyn's care for Undercity. If you pay attention, you can see how Vi's face expression softens when Caitlyn saying words: "This city needs healing... more than I ever realised". Vi's eyebrows lift in slight surprise as if she unexpectedly gain a new perspective. She realised that Caitlyn's main purpose is just the same she always wanted: to help people from the Undercity and make it decent place to live for everyone. Vi have seen the unequality between Piltover and Zaun from her early childhood and we remember her angry wish to change that. But the only way she have considered that was violence. And now Caitlyn - the enforcer, one of them whom she have always seen as "asshole criminals in fancy uniforms" - opens her eyes for another way: we can try to help Undercity peacfully, without bloodshed that Vander earlier wanted to avoid. There are not monsters up there, Piltovers are just people and a lot of them are simply unaware of the Zaun's situation - so there is a chance to make a connection. Considering Vi's past, it is huge step in character development. And, of course, in Vi's and Cait's relationship - she seems really amazed by Caitlyn's speech, beacuse despite many differences, deep down they are just the same: they're two people with good heart who deeply cares about others.
@@bierkad3691 This is so true, you summed up exactly why I loved that scene so well! It really is amazing how many hidden details there are in this show to pick up on, especially when it comes to the thought processes of the characters and how they view the others around them.
Good catch! I think it's Caitlyn echoing what Vander told Vi about how violence solves nothing that especially hits home for Vi
Yes! Also when Vi grabs Caitlyn's hand in the council room, stepping forward and outing her sister as Jinx.
I believe it's important to note that Caitlyn is something of a pacifist. She's the first to call for an end to the violence. Did everything she could to get Vi heard on the council. She could have easily taken out Sevika at any moment she wanted. Instead choosing to wait for a shot at Sevika's shimmer pump. A much smaller and harder to hit target. But the best way to nullify her as a threat without killing her. And after the pump, all her subsequent shots struck only armord metal pieces of Sevika's prosthetic arm. But.. That hesitation of waiting for the pump shot allowed Vi to get stabbed. I think Caitlyn felt responsible for that. This is why she braved going out into the fissures, looking for help, finding Huck. And had no hesitation to trade her gun for the potion to heal Vi. And the way she so sincerely hugged Huck showed me that to Caitlyn, getting that help was in her mind an act of redemption for unintentionally causing Vi pain.
I didn't even think about that! I just assumed she didn't reach them until after Vi got stabbed
@@luanals5199 they were both in the brothel together. I think as soon as the fight went to outside the club. Caitlyn followed her sniper instincts and quickly sought the high ground.
@@luanals5199 perhaps I am making an assumption that the fight took place right after Vi spoke with the brothel madam. But I can not imagine that Vi would just let her cupcake roam around the lanes by her lonesome.
She's definitely not a pacifist, she's just peaceful. She wants peace to be the first option and violence the last.
11:00 as a gay person, after seeing the "so what'll it be: man or woman?" line, this little huff always read to me as "well dang, interest in ladies confirmed! ain't that somethin to keep in mind for later." a lot of unique signaling and probing for information comes with trying to flirt with someone of the same sex when you're unsure of their orientation, so it just felt like such a familiar expression of both amusement and lowkey relief in a weird way.
Yes I agree she missed this detail in her analysis!
As a lesbian there is usually a lot of effort put into just trying to find signs if your crush has a general interest in other women so you know if you even have a shot.
I actually thought about this, that it is a very “queer” thing to look so happy that your crush is flirting with another just to get some affirmation of their orientation. Had Vi and the courtesan been men I wouldn’t be be surprised if a flash of jealousy had come over Vi’s face, since straight is the default and other men would be seen as competition. But to queer women it would just mean that “hey this girl seems into women, this just got interesting, maybe she could fall for me”.
So you guys are for Visexual than.
I think that "It looks like a place where bodies are buried in the basement" Is even worse for Vi. Considering she and her friends lived in that basement and they quite literally died, not there mind you but still.
Edit: Also in that tender moment when Caitlyn is holding Vi's face while the medicine takes effect there are two separate moments, right before their part, where Cait glances down at Vi's lips for a few seconds. It is the second time it happens that she pulls away and gets flustered. Like she is realizing something about herself and how much she is attached and attracted to this woman already.
👌👏
Something else I missed at first but went back and caught when I rewatched it. In that beautiful moment when they are laying on the bed together sharing stories about what happened? Vi is opening up and trusting Caitlyn with things she has probably never told anyone else. Talking about how she failed Powder when the real monsters showed up.
More importantly we see something different this time when Caitlyn reaches out to comfort her and brush a finger against her cheek much like she did when Vi was injured with the rag. This time Vi doesn't shove her away, instead she catches her hand and holds onto it. She accepts the comfort that Caitlyn is offering even while she is shocked by it and not entirely sure if she thinks she deserves it.
Then a short while later when they go to that council meeting Caitlyn starts out talking to the council but turns and talks directly to Vi about how they as topsiders failed her. She wants Vi to understand that she is sorry she didn't know how bad it was before. And then when confronted by Jayce about the explosive, Jayce who up until now has been Caitlyn's BEST FRIEND, she is willing to lie to him(albeit badly) to protect Vi's sister. Until Vi takes her hand and steps in and tells the truth.
16:06
I think it’s also worth mentioning that if you look closely you can notice Caitlyn’s eyes flicking toward Vi’s lips. Vi does the same thing. It’s so quick if you blink you’ll miss it but it’s such a nice detail GAH I LOVE THE ANIMATION IN THIS SHOW
I love how Georgia makes fan girl noises when Vi and Caitlyn's bonds start to heat up.
It was so wonderful
I loved their opposing colour schemes. Caitlyn is cool colours - calm, Collected, hides her emotions (not in a hugely detrimental way, more in a self controlled way). Vi is warm colours, her emotions are loud and expressive, even in the first act her whole everything changes as she goes from interacting with one character to the next (not in a hiding emotions way, but in her immediate emotions are present in every interaction), she is firery and loud. Together they balance.
I think this is why Caitlyn likes Vi, she grew up surrounded by manipulative people, Vi is honest in her way
10:40 My interpretation of Vi’s little smile there that after seeing Caitlyn being kind of intimate with that other woman was that it was kind of getting the wheels in her head turning like:
1. She’s admiring Caitlyn a bit more for falling outside the stereotypes Vi has built up in her head.
2. Caitlyn’s really attractive.
3. Caitlyn seems to like girls
I think Vi was showing a little excitement by the notion that Caitlyn may be romantically available to her. Maybe I’m wrong, it’s just the context of that scene and the recurring times later on in the series where Vi seems attracted to her that make me think this. That’s what I really like about Vi as a character, where she is tough as nails when she needs to be and can express a lot of anger at times, but underneath that there’s this really endearing sweetness to her that comes out when she really cares about someone, it makes her so 3-dimensional and human.
i agree with this assessment
oh for sure. Vi obviously noticed how physically attractive Caitlyn was before, but i think in that moment Caitlyn bev
comes more interesting to her personality-wise. She totally expected her to stay stuck-up and find herself 'too good' to play the part of a sex worker, only to be totally down for it.
I love this scene because it works on both of those levels--Vi is pleasantly surprised that Caitlyn rose to the challenge rather than hiding in a corner, which shows that Caitlyn is adaptable and resilient, and Vi is also pleasantly surprised to see her looking so comfortable with a woman. It's legitimately good writing because it's not just about the romantic coding between them, it's also telling us things about Caitlyn and showing us that Vi sees it, too.
I really think the cosplays are great, it gives a sense of you putting yourself in their shoes and seeing things from their perspective...(It also looks really cool)
Thank you this was my fav one so far
I was going to say the same thing. The cosplay is a cool little thing on a bassic level, but as a therapist analyzing the psychology of the characters adds a level of you trying to get in their head.
“You’re an alright shot.”
“I’m an excellent shot.”
I saw this short verbal exchange as another cornerstone of their relationship. Vi was acknowledging Caitlyn’s abilities, which is positive for both of them. But Caitlyn’s quick correction statement (and how she says it) demonstrates confidence in her abilities without sounding condescending. It was a way for both of them to be respectful of each other. This then immediately leads to Caitlyn lifting up Vi, and they flow into their gentle teasing.
historians will call them "friends": really love that little self aware joke here since you called them friends in the last video
it is so cute xD
Happy you noticed and appreciated it =) I was hoping someone would. Made my day
Caitlyn trading her gun for Vi’s medicine and the whole Jinx (who calls Cait Vi’s gf btw) making Vi think Cait’s head is on that platter (when it’s actually just a CUPCAKE) are two moments that stick with me. (That whole dinner scene sticks with me but, whew).
I’ve talked about this elsewhere but I think it’s interesting how open Vi is compared to Cait. Vi has this really nice, tender moment of vulnerability with Cait (the iconic bed scene of course). Cait on the other hand, while genuine and wholesome in her want to do the right thing and fix, well, everything (hero complex, maybe?) doesn’t really give as much. Like, in regards to personal matters Cait would rather focus on fixing the problem than talking about how she feels. In some respects, I think that’s a nice little subversion to have Vi be the more open in the relationship after warming up. Girl wears her emotions on her sleeve, really. At least, that’s how I saw it.
Of course, Cait’s problems are … not as severe as Vi’s so there may not have been a proper moment that wouldn’t have come off as whiny for Cait to talk about her own bit of loneliness. (Not that her problems don’t matter and no ones pain is more important because everyone handles things differently but still).
I still stand by that Cait, while definitely willing to go out of her way to help others, can forget about herself honestly.
Again, this is just how I see it.
Yeah, I noticed this as well. Caitlyn also has a big heart so I think she spent most of this season giving compassion to Vi and the undercity, so she didn't center herself. I've heard some others discuss how Caitlyn, as giving as she is, wasn't taught to be vulnerable as someone in her position, as that would be considered weak. I'm also thinking that her obsession with investigating and solving other people's problems helps her not think about her own. Hopefully in S2 we'll see more vulnerable moments from Caitlyn (which is probably likely considering how Episode 9 went).
thank you for this
Vi has a Heroe complex. And always puts Ally into dumb trouble. 😂 Vi is something like narcist. She wants Control of people around and has weak ego. Everything and evrybody can easily provoke her.
The platter scene was so suspenseful, and what really _drove it home_ was that when Jinx lifts the lid, _Vi flashes back to that conversation on the bed_ and the tenderness in Caitlyn’s eyes. Her short life _with Caitlyn thus far, and the comfort and safety they shared,_ flashed before her eyes.
I absolutely ADORE those tiny cosplays you are doing
This one was my fav hahaha and the jinx one

Edit: I will however mention that the voice actors also add nuance to those expressions
@@DMrKunst2 jon, they literally record their faces while recording lines so the studio can animate their faces with amazing detail. To say they’re just voice acting and it’s all Fortiche’s work is disrespectful to the actors. Please be more respectful, especially when you don’t have all the information

Cait nuzzling into the hug meaning she thinks of Vi as hers may be my favorite analysis of their body language this fandom has done
tehehe happy you liked that one
13:17, when Vi rejects the wipe, could be also because she was smothered by Marcus, another enforcer in episode 3, which led her to lose Powder to Silco. "What happened last time when a topsider brought a cloth near her face?" Good parallel.
In that moment, it's not clear if she hears Marcus telling her: "If he hears you, he'll kill you".
Marcus did put her in prison, but he also saved her life.
My favorite part of Catlyn alone was when she looked disgustedly into the room and then leaned back to look again.
My favorite Vi & Catlyn moment was when Vi checked her out and told her that she's hot.
I love the chemistry between them so much.
really good chemistry
I didn’t even notice on my first watch- then I saw Caitlyn peeking back into the room and I was like hold up-
@@Nickys_Corner That was such a good moment xD
Another thing that I notice (though I might be wrong) is that in the bridge scene when Jinx is shooting at both Caitlyn and Vi you can see for a split second that they both try to protect each other (in their own way) with caitlyn putting her arms up to cover Vi from the bullets (putting herself in front of the danger in order to protect someone she cares about) and Vi pushing her out of the way (pushing people that she cares about away in order to keep them safe/not get (them) hurt)
Nice catch !
@@GeorgiaDow thanks! Love the video btw it's so nice seeing a whole analysis to the characters and scenes
I love how they both want to protect each other equally instead of one being portrayed as needing to be the one that needs saving. I didn't really notice how many fictional couples fall into that until Caitlyn and Vi
I think Vi encourages a side of Caitlyn that her upbringing had repressed and empowers her to become the badass detective she was always capable of being. Before this we had seen Caitlyn be told to stay in her place by her boss, be patronized by her family for joining the police force and be sheltered and protected by her good friend Jayce. But none of these people actually support Caitlyn, and when she tries to set up a sting to catch Jinx by herself it goes horribly wrong. When she first decides to let Vi out of prison, she's trusting Vi but also trusting herself to make the right decision despite it not being what she's "supposed" to do. And she knows this is a gamble she's now committed to, so she follows Vi into the lowers. As their relationship deepens, Vi is the first person to really embrace appreciate that side of Caitlyn, which gives Caitlyn the confidence and support to be more fully herself.
The visual storytelling in character design tells a story of the two as well. All of Vi's design in rounded but rough, she's sturdy and flows while she walks; Caitlyn has alot of straight lines and angles, she walks very rigidly. The essence of "Duality" permeates everything in this show.
Also a neat little visual note - when Cait and Jayce are discussing her theory after he visits her with the flowers, she steps up onto her lil bench and she and Jayce end up the same height; or figuratively they are equally as intelligent in their respective manners. I always thought that was a nice little touch.
thanks well said
Just noticed how Cait slings her rifle over her back, and then she has to tuck her shirt back down because it rode up while she was reaching back. My god the level of detail in this series is insane.
One thing I've noticed is the use of colour for Caitlyn and Vi. Vi wears a red jacket, Caitlyn wears a blue enforcer's uniform. But when Caitlyn follows Vi into the Lanes, she ends up with a purple outfit, a combination of red and blue, which I think shows how she comes to understand Vi a bit better and loosen up a bit
at 15:00 it’s relevant to notice that right as Vi wakes up, she sees her MOTHER’s face when looking at Caitlyn for a split second. we see Vi’s mother in episode 1 on the bridge
Once again, you put Arcane in new light. Those backward raindrops went completely over my head. I remember I picked up they were kind of "odd", but dismissed them. Big mistake, I knew Vi broke Cait's heart, but didn't picked up on that feeling of regret, that desire of turning the time back.
Also, you are officially one of many too few people, who picked up that detail about "the break up" scene - that it's not about "oil and water" or petty political disagreements between Topside and Undercity.
"Probably things Vi doesn't recognise within herself" - I even dare say it's definitely THE reason she acts the way she does. In her mind, Vi is a monster who abandoned her sister in the moment she needed her most. "You have a good heart" I also see here a lot of disbelief on Vi's part, as if she was asking "The hell are you talking about?". And the next thing she does after their "break up" (I intentionally put it in brackets, their fates are forever intertwined now), is going to Jayce to convince him to basically go to war with Silco, something only he among the council members was keen on doing (even Mel warns him not to, as he doesn't know how war truly looks like). She wants revenge for all the evil Silco did to her and her family, but in so doing, she will end up with blood on her hands, perhaps many innocent lives as a collateral damage.
I believe this is the dark side of Vi's psyche, that jungian Shadow (perhaps?), that she wants to unleash in the fist of anger, but is also deeply terrified of, ashamed of even.
And Caitly saved Vi's life the total of three times. The first one, in the prison, also counts as pretty much saving her soul. I see their "break up" as Vi indirectly saying "I'm unworthy of your affection". In her mind, it's less painful to break Caitlyn's heart now, than having to look into her eyes later.
Thank you for that thoughtful reply and the in-depth analysis. Well said

There was moment I think you missed which is important for Vi's trusting of Cait is when Ekko, Cait and Vi were in front of the mural. When Cait talking about how she realized what the Undercity needs and now understands. Vi has this look that she gives Cait, really starts to show Vi now seeing Cait as she truly is, and where she begins to form strong attachment.
yes that was a good point
Beyond late I know but I wanted to add that Ekko told Caitlyn that Vi said he could trust her. So for her to tell this person who she grew up with that he can trust her is huge. Also, on the bridge as go runs back she yells Caitlyn! Not Ekko. She also goes straight to Caitlyn first.
I think the point where Vi is wounded from her fight and they’re trying to get somewhere safe and Vi tries to parkour down the shaft and fails terribly is more important than I thought. she’s trying to accomplish a task in a way that is normal and comfortable for her and she sees that when she tries to do it alone the way that she always has she fails and is hurt more. I think that shows to her the importance of ‘this isn’t going to work if i’m going at it alone’ and forces her to trust Caitlyn because she’s in a physically vulnerable position.
It's amazing how much depth the crazy detail in the animations adds to the characters in this show. So much about who they are, how they see things and how they see each other is conveyed purely visually through facial expression and body language. The show says things loud and clear without just dropping it on your lap via expository dialogue and it puts a certain level of trust in the audience to actually pay attention to that. I had no idea these two would be a romantic pair when I first saw the series and its such a pleasant surprise. Kinda like everything in Arcane was really. I love their story and honestly I think Cait might actually be my favorite character.
I just hope they end up officially together before the end of this series and it's not just a continuing will they/won't they until the finale. A lot of writers tend to not know what to do with characters, gay or straight, once they get past the angst of the build up to the relationship. It'd be nice to actually get to see Cait and Vi together and dealing with the new dynamic that being in a full relationship brings for them as it's something neither of them are likely to have dealt with before.
i hope so also
For whatever reason, the scene at 9:07 always makes my heart melt when I look at Caitlyn's face. She is in new territory obviously and that hardened demeanor we see her carry through most of the show evaporates in a split second.
When you are confronted with something that instantly causes your guard to drop, you are completely exposed. It may only be for a brief moment, but for some people, it shows their true character at its core.
When I see Caitlyn's face in this moment, she is completely vulnerable and we see the innocence and naivete in her eyes and expression.
It always touches the tender side of me when I see a woman so unaccustomed to a man/woman being forward and showing that they're unfamiliar with what may be happening, but dares to step forward to experience it.
I feel like a thing you could’ve brought up with the “you have a good heart” thing is the fact that Caitlyn saying it reminded Vi of Vander saying the same exact thing to her. To me, it seems symbolic of the idea that the former reminds her of the latter; they’re both people who’ve protected Vi, who were there for her in her darkest hour, and with strong principles and morals in spite of the harsh realities of the world. It’s said that people can’t help but be drawn to those who remind them of their parents.
well said thanks
I love that so much of the relationships in this show are shown through subtle micro expressions, and physical gestures. When you're watching you don't need to be told and it doesn't need to be said what a character is thinking and feeling, you just know. And by each characters personalities and reactions to eachother you know what they know about eachother too. They simply act as fully realised people, not characters in a story. Which is a credit to the script writing and animation.
they did a great job on the show
Yeah that's definitely the key aspect of Arcane that makes it the greatest animation work in history so far.
No other animated show of that scale has been able to portray feelings and thoughts through body language and facial expressions as well as Arcane did. People calling it a masterpiece is fully deserved
I would have LOVED if you mention Cait's gun and how it shows her feelings towards Vi: Caitlyn's an excellent shot but she's never killed anyone before. We see that when Jeevika is about to kill VI she shoots to scare and disarm but not to kill.
It's underscored by the opening scene with Grayson of "What are you shooting for"
Smash cut to the Pits:
Huck startles Caitlyn when she closes the door: Caitlyn draws her gun defensively - she's pointing it at him but isn't aiming specifically to kill. Her weapon is acting as a warning and protection between her and this unknown entity.
Huck asks if that's Vi: Caitlyn IMMEDIATELY Raises her weapon into a kill shot and aims aggressively - directly at his head with her finger on the trigger. She goes from a defensive posture to an offensive posture instantly.
Huck had to say he's a friend of her father's in order to stop Caitlyn from killing him.
Finally the trade: she knows Vi needs medicine and without hesitation hands over her gun.
That's not any weapon that's HER gun, the one we see in her portrait and that she wins the competition with. It isn't just a firearm it's a part of her identity. A warrior's weapon is an extension of themselves.
But the purpose of a weapon isn't just to fight with or defend yourself - it's to protect the people you love.
Exactly !!! 👍
Finally, I was waiting for this!
Haha I hope you enjoyed it
Ive seen arcane like 4 times through now and i still cannot get over the animation. the way they make the characters look so real and act like real people its amazing
i have now watched it over 10 times and I am still picking up on things I have missed
when caitlyn and ekko were talking vi was so surprised that caitlyn saw the undercity as a place that needs help and i believe it was the first tike vi really saw her
I would love to see Vi having her own video like Jinx! She is my favorite character because of how well she was written, and I can’t wait to see how she develops in season 2.
Vi will have her own video
@@GeorgiaDow thank you!! i stumbled onto your channel yesterday and i love this series :))
It's only because of your video that I realized the shift from Vi pushing Cait's hand away from her face When She Was Injured to Vi not only accepting the touch when they're in bed but Taking Cait's Hand, and I. Cannot. Stop screaming.
One of the nice things that most people didn't even notice is that moment when Jinx brings on a "snack" Vi for a second sees image of Caytlin in reflection.
And this is not one-to-one picture of her actual face - Vi sees idealized/beautified image of her "friend".
This is such minute detail that just shows how deep Arcane truly is.

truth
An animated series so well written and produced we have actual Therapists breaking it down. Says a lot about this show.
One thing I found interesting is that at 10:40 Vi recognized Caitlyn’s laugh immediately. And that got me thinking at some point Vi had to have taken notice of Caits laugh, or maybe even made her laugh herself
One of my favorite moments was shown here in the video, at the very beginning of their relationship. When Cait saved wounded Vi, and Vi complains from the floor why did you let her leave, now Silco will know we are here, and Cait replies in the most posh English possible, standing up all serious and cold, while very orderly fixing up her weapon and vest: "And whose fault is that?" I think the strong differences between them is shown in this scene wonderfully, the impulsive Vi getting in trouble no matter what, the calculating, rational, methodical Cait measuring all her moves and words. Then Vi asking for help, Cait helping, then the flirting calling her cupcake, breaking up the ice completely. All differences in the end irrelevant. It's a beautiful scene all over
Love this comment
Yes such a great scene
"In one such scene where the pair are trying to blend in, Vi plainly asks whether Caitlyn prefers men or women, without any other assumptions. In the following scenes, we see Caitlyn very uncomfortable while talking to a man and then, shortly afterward, looking extremely relaxed while talking to a woman. Vi's smile as she notices this says that she's been given the answer to her earlier question without it ever needing to be spoken out loud."
This is a quote from screenrant in regards to the brothel scene. Its a different reading of how that interaction occured which i think is super interesting! Love this video!
I love the symbolism of the "crossing over the red line".
So many layers to that. I mean in the moment its taking a step towards getting answers - leading to going into the undercity- defying societal rules - crossing all the lines.
@10:40 I was totally thinking the same thing when I first watched that scene!! Cait's body language clearly shows she's comfortable & at ease which also proves how quickly she adapts to being out of her typical environment. She's so good at adapting, even the escort took off her mask to cozy up and reveal her goals of seeing a real garden!! This scene surprises Vi and also subverts her assumptions about Cait. And of course, it's a bonus to show that Cait has a thing for women & that Vi has a chance XD
yes i agree
It rly hurts, when you realise how much you can see yourself in Vi`s defense behavior, when it comes to relationships. I am in therapy because of depression and I rly struggle with human connections and try to push people away, when there is even a slight chance for me to get hurt. I am rly scared of loosing friends and trusting other people. I have some ideas of where those feelings come from and I hope that one day I get over those fears and that I can appreciate firends without worrieng all the time and without fighting my urge to end things without a proper reason.
Irly like your videos about characters from diffrent shows, because it show to me, why I loved those series. why I could rly loose myself in them and feel with them. I loves series in which the characters have human flaws and their behavior can be understood through their past experiences.
I also like them, because they help to understand myself better and also the people around me.
your videos truly are a gem out there and as long as I have watched the seires, your videos about them are a must watch for me. Thank you for your great work.

I feel ya. I've never been in a relationship because i always back out when things can potentially get serious. I'm too scared to be vulnerable even though i want to be.
In the meantime, at least i have great fictional love stories like Cait and Vi
Vi and Caitlyn just feel, right for each other. And you can see why they’re drawn to each other.
It seems like the show wanted to take their time building this. I hope that they officially become a couple at some point in Season 2.

17:43 -> I feel like the sequence at Ekko's tree community is missing and we get some interesting Cait+Vi moments there.
1) When Cait was so upset when Vi was taken and was ready to give herself up instead
2) The looks on Vi's face when looking at Caitlyn talking to Ekko about healing the undercity.
yes !
OK, watched this through a second time, and noticed something. I love how you analyzed all of these scenes, but I noticed something that kind of adds to what you said about Vi. You say that she's avoidant that she has a habit of pushing people away to protect herself from pain and also to protect others. During the rain "breakup" scene (AKA the "Oil and Water" scene) notice how Vi purposely seems to distance herself from Caitlyn, turning her body away, keeping an actual physical space between them as they speak. Even as Caitlyn is reaching out to her, Vi stays put. She doesn't go forward; she keeps herself away from her. The way Vi carries herself at this moment is very telling about what's going through her head. You might've noticed this in other scenes, but the closeness, the physical closeness that's displayed in most scenes with Vi and Caitlyn seems to be a kind of constant motif for them if you will. Especially touch. (Note scenes like when Caitlyn gives Vi the shimmer, when they're in Caitlyn's bedroom, hell- even the scene RIGHT BEFORE the main focus of this comment, in the Council Hall, Vi instinctually grabs Caitlyn's hand.) But notice, in this rainy breakup-esc scene there's no closeness. The closeness is cut off; Vi is refusing to let Caitlyn come closer. Because chances are, and I'm taking a wild guess here, if Caitlyn had come any closer,, perhaps grabbed Vi's hand, there would be a very high chance that Vi would've stayed. She didn't want Caitlyn influencing her choice. As you stated in the video, Vi needed to cut ties with Caitlyn.
Anyway, THAT was a lot. I just wanted to share what I found!
wonderful and accurate assessment thank you for this
Historians will say they were good friends...
hahaha exactly =P
@@GeorgiaDow thank you for a video we didn't knew we needed, Georgia!
I'll be on the historian's side then. 'good friends' is a bit off though, I'd say more like a 'good buds/partner' arcane did make the scene more intimate which led you to conclusion that they have romantic relationship. Fair enough. Wasn't supposed to be on that route but it seems riot has different plans.

Caitlyn got a major cultural shock when she went down into the under city
Thank you Georgia for this amazing analysis. I think that an important scene for Caitlyn and Vi was also when they presented their case to the council. Caitlyn as an Enforcer took full responsibility for Piltover's indifference and crimes against Vi and the people from the Undercity. Her words is an apology for all the trauma Vi has been through. Hearing that, Vi's soft look at Caitlyn shows how touched she was by Caitlyn's speech. And when the time comes and Jayce asks Caitlyn about Jinx, Vi takes action by getting Caitlyn out of this unpleasant situation. They are together there as a team. Caitlyn hesitates to share information concerning Jinx because she doesn't want to hurt Vi. She shows one more time how much she cares about Vi and this time Vi doesn't go away. She touches Caitlyn's hand by saying it's ok and speaks on her behalf.
How amazingly this relationship is developing.
Cant' wait for a video concentrated on Vi's character
Yes that is a great scene also =) i should have mentioned it
I like that you dress like the Characters. It is really astonishing how detailed this show is, i have just now realized the yin yang reference.
Great video! I would have loved to hear some commentary on the scene in the council chambers though, where Caitlyn is hesitant to give Jinx's name and Vi grabs her hand and gives them the name instead. I feel like it further shows that Caitlyn cares and respects Vi and Vi acknowledges that with the hand squeeze.
Nice catch yes that would have been a nice addition
The mannerisms and expressions you clipped from the show were so effective at illustrating your point and their developing relationship. Absolutely loved it!
I am 100% anticipating Jinx 2 and/or Viktor 2!
Yay Jinx 2 is next
Thank you for showing THAT scene of Caitlyn and Vi so many times on a row
yeah that was a great move wasn't it
8:54 Checks out her ass.
Turn off the sound and focus on Vi's breathing after asking "men or women" 😏 seems like not only Caitlyn's breathing has changed
Fortiche studios are just a gift that keep giving with their animation details! Another fun detail, when Vi had that memory flash of Caitlyn's face before Jinx showed her the 'snack'. Caitlyn's face actually looks different than in the scene we saw in the previous episode on the bed together. Her face is softer, less pinched in Vi's memory
I wanted to add, in EP5 when Cait comes and have Vi released from prison, there is this short moment at min 4:46 where we hear the metal staff used to beat her repeatedly when the guard is coming to open her cell, we can see her getting ready to be beaten, stressing out with her body and muscles hearing that familiar sound she heard heaven's know how many times. But instead the cell open and surprised she looks up and sees Caitlyin getting her out and the staff' sound getting far and far away. We can see the surprise in Vi's face, that even though she was uncompliant Caitlyn didn't ask the guard to beat her up instead she is letting her go. That's also the first time her eyes and eyebrows soften in that sequence, except for when she sees Powder's drawing.
I love it, I think it is the first time Vi realize Cait might be a bit different from the usual enforcers she knew before and that might be the reason she choose to stick with her instead of running away the first second she is out of that hell of a place.
I really love how much this reaction goes into the physical gestures and how you analyze them. Really shows what an amazing job the animators did where they were able to replicate so many real human emotions through the characters.
thanks
Another amazing moment is when Caitlyn is arguing with Ekko about what needs to be done with the gemstone Caitlyn says "This city needs healing." And as she says this, you can see some sort of trust and respect blossom in Vi's eyes.
I think Caitlyn crossing the physical line outside of Vi's jail cell is symbolic that she's willing to cross the line to pursue her goals. She's already shown this in other scenes, but here she's literally crossing the line and fully committing to her path. The rules don't apply to her. She's an enforcer, going against her family's wishes. She's investigating the airship, something that wasn't her post. She's at the prison, something that she knows she wouldn't have gotten approval for, she uses Jayce's name and signature to pursue a lead that she's been told to back off from, and now she's fully crossing the line and going rogue, becoming allies with a prisoner and a Zaunite, joining with her for the rest of the story, their fates intertwined, as she's determined to get to the bottom of what's happening at any cost.
I think, while she is naive to certain things, she's not completely naive in this scene. I don't think she's being naive or reading Vi that well, yet. She knows what she's doing. She doesn't accidentally step across. She considers it and chooses. I think she takes that first step, not only because she's been raised to think things will just work out for her or because she trusts people even when people say she shouldn't, but because she's specifically offering Vi trust. She's stepping out of her comfort zone and into Vi's world. On one side of the line is where Caitlyn belongs. On the other side is where the darker things reside. Crossing the line is like choosing to be red pilled. She offers Vi a bit more equality and intimacy than she would staying where she's supposed to. She's perhaps the only enforcer that's ever crossed that line to offer trust and not aggression. She's taken the step from her sheltered life into the real world and wants to know truth, believing that the truth resides in the shadows.
going on about the facial expressions, the fact that this is animated is what astonishes me. like yeah if it was people playing it, yes it would be impressive, but the fact it was captured in animation is what makes it so special.
yes they did a great job
I think 10:42 is more a smirk about "I'll be darned, she didn't stay with the man I sent her with, she found herself a pretty woman". A positive sign for Vi to further pursue her. :)
Thank you for putting into words what I was instinctively feeling about these two characters and the show in general. Thank you for pointing out all of the ways they are the same and ways that they are different - it's why they work well together. It is great to see it and understand what the creators are doing.
youre welcome
You missed a little detail. That scene where Caitlyn is in the couch talking with other woman. That place looks like hunter's paradise. A florest with animals, bows and arrows. That ambient makes Caitlyn really comfortable since she is a hunter herself.
nicely done
I really love your videos about Arcane, but I feel there is one important scene between Vi and Caitlyn that you missed.
When they are in front of the council, and they ask about the perp, Caitlyn hesitates. She can't give up Jinx to the council without Vi's permission. She in facts tries to lie before Vi steps up and tells them about her sister. They also have this hand touching there that is so sweet. Like "hey, thanks for having my back, but I got this" kind of moment. I think it's really important for their relationship, because it shows that Caitlyn respects and prioritises Vi's needs. Even if it jeopordises their mission in the undercity and with the council, Caitlyn wasn't going to sell Vi's sister out. But the fact that Vi steps up is also significant, because it shows that she also cares about what is important to Caitlyn, and she isn't going to have her lie on her behalf. That scene shows so much care between these two characters, even when it is baked in with so much else that I feel that a lot of people miss it. To me, it's probably the most important, because it shows that it's not just about attraction, mutual gain, or even one-sided emotions. These people care about the other person's wants and needs. And that's beautiful.
👏👏
And now an analysis of what happened in the episode 2x03. 💜💙💔
This is awesome. Caitlyn is one of my favorite characters :). Vi is too and I love their bond. So, I'm happy to see this video!
You do a great job showing the dichotomy between Vi and Caitlyn's backgrounds and worldviews (and how they handle attachments). You're right that when one can't empathize, there can be a lot of judgment. One thing I like about Caitlyn is her empathy - she definitely starts off judgmental and had a sheltered background, but she opens her mind and she also has a caring, good, and empathetic heart (and I think her heart - along with her interactions with Vi and being willing to push past her comfort zones - led to some great character development). I think her empathy has helped her form a closer bond with Vi (along with, as you said, the experiences they went through together).
One of the things that I love about the show is that they do such a good job of showing body language. And your analysis of it is spot on (especially with Caitlyn's reactions, especially through her eyes). I don't think I noticed that about her eyes, but it's a great catch.
Wow, I knew that the hugs between Ekko and Vi and Vi and Caitlyn were different, but I didn't notice the contrast as much until you pointed it out. Another awesome catch.
Great point about how it's significant how Vi asked Caitlyn for help and leaned on her and showed vulnerability. I agree, they have great chemistry and that we only tease (or use nicknames for) people we feel comfortable with.
I didn't think about the contrast between Powder and Vi and Vi and Caitlyn. That's a great comparison.
Also your Caitlyn cosplay is rad! :).
Great video, Georgia! I love Caitlyn and Vi!
Seeing the pair fall for one another while watching was a real treat and seeing you explain it was an even greater one.
Thanks, I do love this channel.
appreciate you
I feel like this video might have been better made as a two part one, as there is just so much important to cover. Even at 26 minutes I feel like there was a lot of important information left out. Vi had every reason to hate Caitlyn. She wasn't just a Piltie, she was an Enforcer. A member of the group who has been central to some of the most painful moments of her life. Enforcers killed her parents. Growing up Enforcers were the ones from topside that she most directly saw as the enemy, who would only be seen when she was running for them, or they were invading the Lanes to push their power around. It was meeting with an Enforcer that led to Vander being captured and pretty much her entire second family dying because of Silco. It was an Enforcer that kidnapped her and stopped her from saving Powder, allowing Silco to get his hands on her and then threw her in prison without a trial for years, where she continued to be brutalized by both the prisoners and Enforcers. The only reason that Vi even went along with Caitlyn at first was that it was a way out. And once outside, the first chance she got she tried to lose Caitlyn. But Caitlyn found her, she may not have kept up, be she was able to follow the route. And then wasn't angry. Didn't lash out in anger. That I think was the first time where Cait surprised Vi and earned a little respect from her.
A lot of important character building between them happened when they were captured by the Firelights. They argued with each other, rightfully accusing each other of keeping secrets. But as soon as she thought Vi was in trouble, Cait immediately did everything she could to bargain and try to protect Vi. Earning a somewhat sarcastic 'my hero' from her. But it did show Vi what Cait was willing to do to try and help or protect her. Her comment wasn't mocking. But gentle teasing, as friends might do.
After that, she saw how Caitlyn treated Ekko. She realized that Cait really was different than what she expected topsiders and especially Enforcers to be like. She saw what Cait said she saw in Vi. That she is a good person. She saw the treatment of the people of the Lanes and thought it wrong. That how Piltover treated them was wrong, and she wanted to do the right thing. Effectively siding with them against her own tribe. And she stood up for Cait against Ekko. Told him that she was someone that could be trusted. Which for Vi is absolutely huge.
The fight on the bridge showed a lot about the complex relationship between Vi, Jinx and Cait. And that when push came to shove, she went to Cait's side over her own sister at first. When Jinx tried to shoot the two of them, how they reacted showed a lot about their personality. Both sought to protect each other. Cait by trying to block the bullets with her own body, trying to shield her at her own risk, while Vi shoved them apart, trying to avoid it entirely. Cait's initial reaction was to put herself in harm's way to protect someone she cared for, while Vi try to push away lest either of them got hurt. And then she made sure that Cait got to safety before going back for her sister. She put Cait before the one person she spent years in prison trying to get back to.
During the meeting with the Council a lot was said without words between them. Cait made sure that the Council listened to Vi, as the people of the Lanes have never had a voice in that chamber. Caitlyn herself stood up for them, showing a consistency of belief and action to Vi. When it came time to name the one who committed the attacks Cait didn't want to at first, knowing it would put Vi's sister at risk. In that moment she sided with Vi and Jinx over being a Enforcer or Piltie again, and it was Vi that stepped forward with a pat on the hand to stand up for justice, even if it meant telling on her sister to those she considered her enemy for her entire life. But in the end, she saw that while Caitlyn might be someone she could trust, the Council and other people couldn't be. That they were too different. Oil and Water.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
wow, that was amazing
That was so good , i love the Caitlyn /Vi dynamic ,they are exactly what the other needs to balance and fulfill. The other relationship Jayce/Mel is more of a one person using the other for gain. Also Heimerdinger and Ekko I'm i the only one getting vibes?
Yes I will
I love how compassionate you are in every video. You seem like someone who would be great to have a long nice conversation with!
kind to say thanks
It's been over a month and I still haven't gotten over the scene where Vi is staring at the platter and right before Jinx takes the lid off, right when Vi is led to believe she would see Caitlyn's severed head, Vi flashes back to the one intimate moment she shared with Caitlyn on the bed.
I like the way you just jump into a video with out those long introductions. It feels kinda weird since I’m not used to it, but I like it.
God, their relationship gave me so much joy when I watched this. Normally lesbian couples are straight forward and sometimes romanticised but this was wonderful, the way you could tell that the love was bubbling up but then it stretched apart in the “oil and water” part. I love arcane :’)
as psychologist i love the analysis , as a geek i LOVE the cosplays !
Yay ! happy you liked it and thanks for making peoples lives better
cait's angsty yearning in the bathroom is so dramatic, god i love it 😂
and damn, the fact that you can see so much emotion from the expressions on the characters faces is a real testament to the animation quality, bravo to fortiche
Thank you so much for finally talking about them in this video!! It's so interesting so get all these explanations and this analysis of their feelings and acts, even small details.
On Twitter I saw something quite interesting about this dinner scene at the end where Jinx is about to reveal to Vi what's on the plate;
someone compared this quick flashback of Caitlyn in Vi's memories, and the actual situation where both if them were together laying on the bed. In Vi's memories Caitlyn looked much more vulnerable, eyes more open, lips a bit pouted, etc.
A very interesting detail I didn't even notice myself when I watched the scene.
Also I love that your outfit always matches the character's clothes! Really shows that you put effort in these videos to create this nice atmosphere
I try to =)
