I love the idea of watching a pro on the lead card take one bogey and not be completely out of the tournament because it's not a birdie or die course with no real score separation from hole to hole.
Please keep challenging the pros like this. We all know every pro in the game can consistently throw it 450+ feet accurately to a landing zone where it turns into a putting tournament to determine the winner.

I like wooded courses where distance can be a reward but also scrambling and hitting different angles and trick shots along the way. And of course putting is even more important.

    Watched this again.
Hole #3 is tough on these kids!
    Only Drew Parred it 😮
I was there and saw the whole field play it. There were a surprising high number of Crazy Great throws that landed in more or less the choice landing zone and still only 13% of the field made a Birdie 3.
It's still a tough approach and the left side rough is a treacherous drop off into a thickly entangled creek boggieland
All it takes is a bad tree kick😨
Tree karma on #3 was shockingly good. 86% good tree kicks that day! Throwers have absolutely no idea of how lucky they were that day.
I predict that this hole will play over par(4) for years too come.
It's a tough hole I'm here to testify.
Thanks Jomez for immortalizing this Sport for all of us✌🏼

I prefer wooded courses. Nothing feels more satisfying when you park a hole knowing you hit your line through the trees. Sure, I can understand the likely desire for beefy courses that require needing 500ft out of a drive, and it's inspiring seeing the required skill, speed, and strength to blast plastic that far. But. The apex showing of mastery in controlling the disc through obstacles is the best side of this sport.

Hey, guys, I love the coverage! I have a favor to ask. Since you all 3 played the course, can you start giving distances to the landing zones during the flyovers? Like, I'm watching the flyover for hole 3, and I'd love it if when Nate said "you wanna hit this gap and get down to the right" he also added something like "It's about 350 to the gap" or "375 to the landing zone". Just something like that would add a lot to the already great coverage.

On the question of why the gallery was clapping on Chris Dickersons first approach shot on # Four- as the spotter I can say that the gallery didn't have a vantage point to see it finish and as they often times do applaud because they think they 'should.'
You didn't hear any applause from the Camera guys or me who sort of had a view I can say.
The field did shockingly well at staying on the fairway.
Outside of early fairway tree hits which I couldn't see from my vantage ...perhaps 98% good tree Karma helped way more than they may suspect by kicking them kindly way way more often than not.
Thanks Jomez for what you do!

Now, this is a course I know I wouldn't get last in pro here. One of the best courses I've seen.

@@michantjoh8921 I would be throwing high-speed disc on most drives though > not 11 speed like pros are here.

I throw backhand and sidearm . I use to be best sidearm thrower in state cause not to many threw sidearm in 2000-2005 then I showed Big Jerm the advantages of sidearm and I can't throw sidearm as far as him and now some others I've been seeing. Played a lot of rounds with Jermey Kooling his 1st 4 years. He improved so fast every round. But I'm getting further every year at 45yrs old. . I can say I might have the most accurate sidearm. Just told my friend playing yesterday that I could win a sidearm-only tournament. Now I believe I can say I'm best cut roller in state. Starting to park holes that i couldn't with air shots. Anyway I was going to say before i was saying all this crap> The Orc is the best disc for a course like this. It's so predictable with backhand and sidearm plus cut rolls. Got Orc story with Big Jerm. We was at a party after down town street Disc golf tournament in Ashville. There was house we was at that had front porch they threw off of over ball golf course. Every one was throwing in middle of a ball golf fairway. Jeremy and I was by ourselves on porch when he saw an Orc and asked what do these do? I said Orcs go straight and can go very far. . He throws this disc the furthest I've ever seen a disc go at this time. Sucks no1 at party saw this. He threw past 1 st fairway, then 2nd fairway that had no discs on it cause no1 threw that far. , And he went to 3rd ball golf fairway! It took him over 12 mins to retrieve Orc! Amazing! I knew he could be a super pro after that. I remember when Jerm starting putting great. Thats when i couldn't beat him anymore in singles.
