Nearly all demon's voices are re-recorded in this video probably because some of them have actual spoken lines in the HD Remaster. While not exactly easily discerned, Matador's generic battle voices are likely updated for this reason. 0:22 "Are you ready" is definitely new; 3:15 Lachesis no longer sounds like an old hag.
The compression sucks but the problem with the OST version is that they are not exactly the same to the in game version, look in the normal battle theme how drums sound much powerful than in OST and of course that song has 7 solos if I'm not mistaken, while the OST version only has one. The only real solution would be look for the source audio files back in 2003 or literally re do the recordings which I think would ruin them in some way or another.
Those beautiful demon designs by Kaneko and that amazing soundtrack by Meguro which is still one of his best to date. I can't wait to experience this gem all over again and I'm glad many more people will now get the chance to experience what I consider to be the best JRPG too. Please give us an uncompressed soundtrack in the remaster.
There really should've been an option to pick a decompressed soundtrack 😐. It's kinda weird to play a remaster with the old compressed audio. But I guess I should be happy we even get to have a remaster.

@Emperor No caso do mario por mais que os audios tenham sido descomprimidos pelos fans as imagens foram leakadas já em alta definição direto servidor, meio nitpick mas se aplica da mesma forma em relação a como empresas mantem seus arquivos do msm modo. At this point, I'd be more surprised if that audio wasn't compressed. I don't think they'd continue showing these trailers with the lower quality audio if they weren't gonna use it in the final game. I'm in no way upset over that either, but there's no doubting that I was hoping to be able to hear all the battle song's guitar solos in high quality.

Has anyone considered that Atlus intentionally left the audio as is because that's how fans of the game remembered it? The distorted sounds is supposed to mimic you being controlled by the magatama. I think the best they could do is what nintendo with Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, and give the option of playing the original quality or remastered quality audio. Those who've comment the clear sounds from the demons, well they've always have been relatively clear.
I’m sure they add new ones here and there, but honestly I like that aspect of the series. It’s cool to see familiar faces, and they do redesign the demons sometimes. But you make a good point. I wonder why it is the way it is.
Oh right, I forgotten how small and mish-mashy the Demon Compedium of this game was. Suparna and Bahb Catha in the Beast Race, Valkyrie and Ganesha being seperated from the Yoma race, Garuda and Gurr are by themselves in the Avain and Raptor race, etc. Kinda hoped they'd add a couple more demons to some of the races since they can pull the models form SMT NINE, Digital Devil Saga, Raidou, and Persona 3 and 4, but oh well.
It would be absolutely AMAZING if this stunning remastered version could receive a Port to PC. There would be many more supporters and people who're appreciative of all this genre has to offer if you did so. Please, Atlus, if you could find it in your hearts to afford us this highest pleasantry, it would momentous. Not only for your organization, but also for the community whom deeply support you. Thank you for making such a wonderful array of games for us to enjoy!

God yeah when it transitioned from the cathedral of shadows straight into the super poorly compressed normal battle theme it hurt my soul
i'm pretty sure there are versions of it that aren't compressed

基本的にメガテン系は孤独だってのと、
仲魔の合体が適当すぎると
ほんとに途中で詰むっていうのが
続けてもらえるかなって心配になります。
特にボス戦はカジャ系がかなり重要です。
こんなに補助魔法に重点置いたゲームってなかなかないです。
そこが初見殺しかもしれないです。
難易度優しいのがあるから大丈夫と思う

なのでたくさんいるわけです。
未プレイヤーに言っておくが、ずっと見てるだけで相手のターンとか大有りだからな。
ダンジョンすごいかったるいからな。
それでいてエンカウント高い、こっち枯渇しがちだからな。３ルート全部しようなんて余程の変態のみだからな。
