    Thank you so much for your clear video. My great-grandmother was widowed when my grandmother was just a few months old and mamaged to make a living as a single parent for 5 years with just a very small pension from the mine and selling her bobbin lace - hence my interest in this craft.

    Thank you for such great head start instructions. Very helpful. I learned bobbin lace at the age of 15 in PR. I did not keep the practice and now I would like to enjoy this unique beautiful craft. I still have all my equipment and in need to refresh the technics.

    Thank you for showing how I should secure the thread on the bobbins. This is the only place I've been able to find out why my bobbins kept coming undone and dropping to the floor!

    Bobbin lace pillows, bobbins, & patterns are available online: lacysusan & vansciverbobbinlace are a couple of good places in the USA. Also check for a local guild at IOLI for a teacher who may have a kit or could help you.

    What size do u use

    • @madejasycafe
      @madejasycafe  3 года назад

      If you refer yo the thread, I use 30, 40, 50 or even thiner, depende on the project and pattern.

    • @madejasycafe
      @madejasycafe  3 года назад

      If you refer to the graphic paper, I use 10 squares x inch, or smaller, depending on thread. The thiner the thread, the smaller the grid.

    Thank you for sharing this video on this venue...however, I agree with some of the feedback...the music is annoying because competes with what you are trying say...and makes it difficult to hear you.
