Grocery prices, especially for fresh produce, have skyrocketed in Canada recently. A practical tip for managing your budget (mom of five here!) is to consider purchasing frozen fruits and vegetables. Not only are they more affordable, but they also offer the convenience of having nutritious options readily available at any time.

Aldi has changed so much from when i was a kid. Not the biggest selection but quality is usually surprisingly good. But i have to say that the nutritional value of fruits is far overstated by almost every food guru. The amount of vitamins or antioxidants isn't going to be the main factor that changes your health. Using fruits to get off of refined sugars is a good idea but still keep an eye on those cravings and don't become insulin resistant.

Yes! I agree. Balance is key 100%. I've always said food in general isn't the #1 thing that makes us feel better if we aren't addressing the health of our nervous system. Thats #1. But if there are people who are used to eating mostly processed foods, the idea of switching those out for fresh fruits and veggies is a helpful target to focus on for sure.

Sometimes I do. Depends on the price difference to be honest. I'm not dedicated to "only Organic", but I try to buy organic when I can.
