In the pre pre-spawn, as you pointed out earlier is one of my favorite times to fish the old Tom Mann's Elite Baby one -minus... It is my favorite kind of wake bait especially when you have to slow roll it so incredibly slowly... In that cold cold water... It has been the best producer over the years since I can remember... And I have been watching your shows when I could since I was 28, I am 59 years old now... God bless Jimmy and keep them coming brother!❤❤

Good evening, Jimmy! The only wake bait I've thrown is Live Target's Mouse lure - it's technically a soft plastic frog lure, but it's shaped like a mouse and it makes a beautiful wake on still water. Haven't caught one on it, yet, but I'm ready for that blowup!

It's been 6 weeks since we were able to take the boat out of the slip. 1989 50hp Johnson cold weather and all 3 batteries registered 75% on the charger. The 2 on the trolling motor registered dead on the foot pad. The outboard took forever to get an idle. By then, the battery was done. So we rigged some rods using the Jimmy Huston knot. Easiest knot I've ever tied. I taught it to my son n law in one try. We went straight to Walmart and purchased 3 battery chargers and a pig tail. They all 3 have maintainer to manage the charge. We didn't wet a line today but sometimes that's fishing.
This cold weather is death on those batteries. Keeping them fully charged all winter is the ticket. You did the right thing. Keep those maintainers on all the time. Remember, March is just around the corner. All this warmer weather will speed up the bite. May God Bless. jimmy

Hey Jimmy, I love the Lucky Strike Cajun color Wake bait. I've had several good strikes with it. Had one just now and thought he got hooked pretty good but he wiggled off. My own fault, I have to wait a few seconds then set the hook. Still alot of fun fishing wit😮😮h Wake baits!!! 😅
