On July 4th, 2024, I played this version after a request for some flamenco music from a guest at my backyard deck party. BOOM. Within a minute, a 59 year-old beautiful Russian woman got out of her chair and started dancing. I joined her and we disco danced together for the next 15 minutes of the song, with very loud and bright serious fireworks exploding over our heads.

Fun fact: my father worked as a DJ in a radio in my town in early 90s, and one day he put this song to play and went to take a shower. The bathroom door stuck with him inside, and he only was able to get out in time because the song was long enough.

Primero antes que nada saludos a todos los aquí presentes, Mexicanos , latinos de cualquier país de lengua hispana, gabachos , Brasileños etc... Nunca olvidare mi adolescencia , allá por fines de 1977 y todo 1978 fue fantástico y magnifico ver como la chaviza no tanto bailaban de a parejas esta hermosa e inolvidable musica disco,, SANTA ESMERALDA Ah!!! como olvidarlos, caray lastima que ahora en 2021 todo se reduzca a puro porno auditivo es lo que hoy bailan ,así como su regueton!! carajo ya se les acabo el cerebro ya no hay talento para hacer musica tan exquisita al oído como esta y ponerle al amor, ya la aventura el simple placer de imaginar y vivir intensamente los momentos , aquellos que verdaderamente dejan huella, en 1977 tenia yo 15 años , hoy tengo 59 y al igual que muchos aquí siempre me sentiré orgulloso de los idos tiempos que me tocaron y que he enseñado amis hijos para que tengan mas imaginación y traigan hermosas cosas a la vida. Esta musica la escuchare hasta mi ultimo dia en la tierra. Saludos desde MEXICO para el mundo entero!!!

Lindas lembranças de 1977, com meus 18 anos dentro da boate DIS14 no clube 14 de Março de Batatais-SP. Na paquera das lindas meninas o coração batendo mil por hora, tomando cuba libre. O pensamento também nos vestibulares, principalmente o da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. Que saudade ouvindo esta música que marcou muito a minha vida.
Excelente, inolvidable, hubiera querido que fuera más conocida por todos, es una obra de arte, los coros, la música, las guitarras, la voz, espléndida, hace muchisimos años la escuché y siedmpre la incluyop en mis playlist tiene ese toque de rumba y flamenco fusionados de manera increíble. Ole!
