Man, why are there so many clips of people fighting mobs 4-6 levels higher than them and being surprised when things go south? Perhaps it's just veteran players having egos and new players not knowing at all. Second time in a row the healer struggles because no one understands that healing = threat, and low level tanks not only need MORE healing, but hit less and generate less threat and rage. The whole pet tanking is one thing, but under-leveled is another. It feels like 90% (maybe more) of hardcore players have never played a healer or tank.
That’s just kinda how classic leveling dungeons are though. The mobs were green when they first went in and boss is orange. If they were even higher level half the dungeon would’ve been grey to them.
Everything you said is true except the end, 90% of WOW players (be new or veteran) have never played tank or heal, or at least they don't understand how threat works. Most people actually do not understand basic game mechanics. New players it makes sense but old players, it's mostly bc they never took the time to learn, and playing with addons like Dbm who tells you what to do kills your brain cells, you never actually learn the game. There's a reason why Asmon doesnt stream the game no more, stopped playing Wotlk and will prob never raid anymore in wow, people are garbage, they really are. 99 parsers never knew u can use alcohol to reduce mob lvl to increase your chance to hit for instance. It's an MMO, there is no "real" wow Coach but many players need one i guarantee you, bc getting to Max lvl is not hard, so you get people who are low lvl/elo in other games in your raid and they understand nothing about it
This boss is def one you dont play around when you are low level. He needs to die fast, and they are too low level. Also pets are even lower. This grp was just not up there for this pull.
Watching these hardcore clips made me realize how bad a lot of these “veteran” hunters actually are. Probably the most versatile class with so many utility tools yet the idiots tunnel vision on their pet doing everything
the name huntards is there for a reason XD. at that point and even more so in tbc hunters were extremely easy to play. So everyone who was hopelessly bad chose a hunter. So not every hunter is an idiot but most idiots play a hunter..
Them pulling accidentally before Tyler got to ask more questions is what got them killed because if he got a chance to spend 2 minutes clarifying things he would have had a better chance of understanding what he needed to do. If Sealion told Tyler not to attack the boss at all until the pet is asleep he would have done that
If Tyler literally took 10 minutes out of the 200 hours he’s been playing to watch a guide on threat then it wouldn’t matter that sealion pulled. how tf do you hear “let the pet take aggro” then open with popping your CDs, overpower and sunder? tyler just doesn’t understand the game fundamentally
@@brandonchin7713 You're objectively wrong. Even if he understood perfectly how threat worked, it doesn't matter if you don't know what the boss does... Saying "do no damage till deep slumber, then taunt the boss" would have been the right call. You don't have to have any understanding of how the threat works to make that strategy work. The boss casts Deep Slumber. If the cast begins while you have threat, you are going to get "banished"/"Slept" for 14sec. The main problem was that Tyler was told "don't do too much damage, let the pet take aggro". But as a new player, you have no concept of how much damage is "too much". I agree that he has no concept of threat, but these calls were ass for someone even regardless of that fact.
@@Birch19547 he's objectively right, tyler doesn't want to learn from others he wants to learn by himself. And yeah, he's omega garbage compared to other players with the same /played trying to actually improve at it
@@Birch19547 He didn't have much time to question but he got given a simple line of actions, let pet get slept 1st then pull aggro and pop big damage, it's not some complex mechanic, this is also partially his fault, no excuses, excuses are for chicks. If it was a more complex boss fight with multiple mechanics then you would be right, instead the priest paid for the under-leveled who needed tons of heals generating threat for the healer and warrior not understanding that high dmg= high threat and you don't want that when boss casts.
The strat was terrible and got the healer killed. The healer put out more threat than the pets. The play was to have Tyler tank and DPS would then not hold back so they out threat the healer and could kite/evasion tank when boss swaps to them. People blaming Tyler and not the strat have no clue.
That...was not the strat they literally explained it in the video did you not watch? The plan was the pets to tank the slumber so then T1 could pick up the boss, but he pulled aggro at the wrong times and got slept. Everyone is throating Tyler 'I got carried to 60 through every dungeon available' 1
I just found it absolutely incredible that Tyler takes so long to swap to taunt, that he lands it at the perfectly timed worst moments and gets banished. That's gotta be a record
DJP was bad too. Target of target would have given him the signal to start getting distance. But no. stand still to heal. As if you can outheal dmg using flash heal. Just bad in general
@@brandonmaximo8879Healer was throwing hella hard, bro was clicking their toons and pressing hot keys, the most inefficient way I've ever seen anyone heal, needs to respect to DPS honestly
They explained it to Tyler terribly. They told him to let pet take aggro, but when he tries to clarify and asks if they should blast him as fast as possible they then say yes. At that point it’s 100% on the leader, they told Tyler to pump dps and he listened to the call
Literally every other person in the group thought that when Tyler said we should blast, that he was speaking about after the first sleep, it's a pretty reasonable misunderstanding. Saying it's 100% on the leader is also pretty dumb. It wasn't the best explanation, but was clear and to the point, honestly fine. Saying Tyler is 0% responsible when he's a level 52 warrior who's been though tons of dungeons by now with people all using this pretty generic video game terminology, and he's also put little to no effort into learning and clearly didn't speak up enough when he was still unsure, is kinda ridiculous. You're acting like he's a genuine infant who is incapable of learning, he's got a kid for goodness sake!
@@smiteeyyeah the initial explanation was honestly perfect and simple: t1 just wasnt listening cuz he truly doesnt think there are actual mechanics in these dungeons, so when they explained again the plan got too muddled and tyler just did his own thing. he knew he wasnt supposed to take aggro and still pressed globals when he should have just been auto attacking. whoever body pulled was really at fault - if they had allowed the first pet to go in and really build aggro so they could have calmly talked tyler through the encounter would have been fine
He was ultra confused by a very simple instruction: let the pet get aggro first. He either wasn’t paying attention or doesn’t understand what aggro is, and either way it’s on him imo. Unlike a lot of streamers in this guild though, he’s a legit gamer, so I expect him to actually learn from this and not error repeat.
They EXPLAINED it to tyler, he just didn't listen. And nobody wants to actually berate him for this, cause nobody want to deal with angry mob. It's 100% Tyler's fault. He didn't take it seriously, like whatever, keep yapping, didn't ask ANY questions and ignored EVERYTHING said. Btw it was becouse of HIM that they used weaker pet. And he WAS AWARE of it. At least he was PRESENT. It is his fault if he don't pay attention. Another healer killed by t1.
It is NOT 100% on the "leader." You people love to blame a single person. Everyone in this group could've done something better and every single one of them should be held accountable. It seems any time someone dies in Tyler's group you guys want to blame one person. No one learns from that bullshit.
For those that dont know. Sealion was a FFXIV legend (chad for the young ones :P) when Asmongold was doing the FFXIV run. Obviously that player is very experienced in mmorpgs but that is where I believe he started to be more KNOWN.
I think the biggest thing that needs to be emphasized is that Sealion intentionally brought a lower level pet, and their levels overall just aren't there for Eranikus and makes the fight too hard. You literally cannot have this boss at red level even to some extent orange otherwise it's way too volatile of a fight for your tank to carry, you may as well throw the over analysis out the window because the volatility of having reliance in parts of your group that are underlevelled completely ruin this pull/boss. I don't think Tyler has his diamond flask quest either so i assume he will be back though, hope he manages to get it down he seems so genuinely guilty when people die but i don't think he's the biggest problem in this group.
He still lack some basics but he really just screwed up by hitting at the beginning and not letting the pet get aggro. Apart from that, the fault is entirely of the hunters (both) I don't know how much they know about the game.
@@burgui5267 i dont think it was explained to him that he needed to wait for the pet to get aggro. I mean the last thing that they talked about before the pull was "kill it fast, use all cds" etc.

Nobody even explained to Tyler that the CC will drop aggro, I'm 90% sure he didn't know that factor. He even asked if the healer had his back when it came to being CC'd
I kinda gotta give T1 some props, he knows hes to dumb to understand stuff like thread so he flat out says hes not gonna use thread meters. every one he is playing with knows that. so its on them to guide his actions. Tyler just shouldn't have the responsibility to tank.

Time has to stop completely for that pet to get aggro at that level, just do the exact same thing but at normal level for this boss and it goes way smoother.
I don't get this argument that its bad leading, maybe Tyler1 should do the following :1) watch some videos or look up the boss mechanics beforehand so people don't have to spend 15 minutes between each boss pull explaining basic mechanics. 2) Learn threat management if he is going to tank. 3) He keybinds everything that allows him to escape but clicks everything that helps his team. For example he has target dummy but doesn't use it to save his healer he instead uses it when he wants to run away.

But that's not to say he's to be expected to understand what is considered basic knowledge for us that know more. Like chill guys, even on league he takes like 100 games to learn champions as simple as Fizz because he doesn't read. He brute forces into learning. Point is, bad explanation on a guy that knows very little who is still overestimated knowledge-wise. Let's all calm down!
The thing about Sodas theory at the end is once Tyler was banished he was doing nothing, and they couldn’t keep the boss off the healer. The boss would’ve attacked the pets once he was banished if growl was on and they were high enough level but growl wasn’t on and pets were under leveled. This is 100% the hunters fault.
@@memesupreme5502 wait all the trash talk he does in game and on his streams with his watchers doesn't make him toxic. You went from just glazing to sucking T1.
Its not just the explanation that were bad but the responsibility you give a whole new player... To tank Eranikus on HC... Like wtf thats a suicide mission lmao
Neither of the pets had aggro on the boss except for a few seconds in the beginning. So even if Tyler did nothing, this is what would've happened. Hunter #1 gets threat, tanks for a bit gets scared and feigns. Hunter #2 gets threat, tanks a lil while and feigns. Boss is now on the healer, and the healer is dead. This would've been avoidable with a proper strat that didn't include having a pet (without growl) 6 levels under the boss being the MT.
Your right, also their damage would have been so bad that they would have had to deal with at least 2 more sleeps. There was no way the healer was going to heal through that fight no matter what happened.
Honestly if i would be healer i would totally use threat meter and if team can't hold a threat i don't give a fk and won't heal them... Its mostly hunters fault in here
Is this guy slow? The pet is 6 levels down without growl on even if T1 didnt pull off the healer gets killed or banished the first time he heals because the pets have no threat. The plan was never going to work. T1s mistake was being new and trusting a bad caller who had a dead plan from the get go. Omega L take from Soda.
He has no concept of how much threat an ability generates until someone explains it. They said do low damage to it, what is low damage? To an uninformed new player using 2 random abilities doesnt sound like much. If they said only autos or dont attack at all it would be more obvious
"If tyler1 literally did nothing, they would've won" while tyler1 was doing literally nothing but tanking the sleep. (Which is better than nothing) Big L take. Soda always seems to blame tyler for some reason. (I usually only watch soda not tyler)
Tyler seems to be completely overlooking the fundamentals of movement, threat management, and tanking as a whole. It’s as if he hasn’t experienced decade of trial and error in dungeons/raids...hmmmmm. Though he's acting like that one person in a group project who puts in as much effort as if they were a random passerby roped into it...''just nod and agree, even though I don't know what the fuck they're talking about...just nod and agree''
I realy don't care about streamer drama and certainly am a WoW Andy with no favour for Tyler, but i would not blame him here at all. I feel like the explanation sucked ass. Soda is softly and gently hating imo here.
Bro the boss used the sleep spell 2 times in a very short time even if they get the pet slept at the beginning this was gonna go bad anyways because eventually the tank would get slept and the aggro would go to the overworked healer that has to heal a lot because they are under leveled for the boss. It was just a bad call. There is a very good explanation in another video of this moment. It was a bad call to do it.
If the let took the first one then they would have 30s to nuke the boss which seems improbable but after the second one tyler it would’ve been around a minute which is quite doable. They got it down to 50% even with Tyler doing 0 dps for 30s. If they let the pets take aggro (and everyone is talking about heals generating aggro who gives a fuck let the pets die) then they could’ve done it.
@@brandonchin7713 so they have to be careful with aggro while trying to nuke the boss. One of the pets was under leveled and had no taunt, I think it was an absolute mess. Eventually someone gets aggro and the healer has to heal. Also how tanky are these pets, don't they get nuked?
@@fireflameft2964 >so they have to be careful with aggro while trying to nuke the boss yes. have you never played wow before? this is like every raid boss.
I know fade works on current threat, but is there a reason priests don't hit it before they get aggro? It's often used as an "oh shit" button, they pull aggro, fade, hope to lose aggro - but if they were fading before they pulled aggro as they got high threat, it would keep them under the pull threshold the entire time.
@@brandonmaximo8879 ...What isn't how it works? What was incorrect? Fade in classic reduces threat by a static amount, and if you are below that amount as a total threat number, you go negative, allowing you to cast more spells and stay low on threat (until fade wears off).
i just read up on it. it seems like the threat you lose will be added back up after the duration. So using it before would hide your real threat and at the end you might get a bunch back. If you get aggro then you have no way out. Also i cant find anything about threat going into negatives
@@Asternius Yes, but the same way everyone is telling Tyler that he needs to pay attention to threat, everyone else should too. When the healer is about to take threat, they can fade, know the next 2 casts won't pull aggro, but then chill on the healing and let aggro drop by not doing anything. Fade gives them time to get away from the top of the meters without the risk of killing people by not healing at all. As for the negatives, I don't know how the numbers are actually coded but I've read in 3 places (though it's hard to find) that if you are below the amount of threat that fade removes, you can build up the remaining threat without gaining threat. If you are at 500 threat and Fade reduces it by 800, you can cast for 300 threat worth of abilities without going above 0 threat.
@@TraxisOnTheLines Fade in classic according to rank does lower threat by a static amount. However, threat will never go into the negative. That's where you are ill-informed. Now Fade has another component that lets it function the way it does. Fade temporaily also halts the gain on threat when it is active, however the threat is accumulated. The threat drop and the casts you have done after Fade will all be added back to you after the buff wears off. Hence a rotation for Shadow DPS to fade on pull for raid bosses as they can cast mind blast freely without aggro worries as long as your MT is a dual wielding chad who knows what he is doing. Fade is frankly useless in Classic. A Greater Heal or 2 or so can already surpass the threat drop Fade offers. Do you understand now?
Wild seeing the literal word-for-word rehashed lectures on basic mechanics this many years after "50 DKP MINUS!!!" Can't wait to see T1 knocked off the ledge in UBRS and pulling eggs all over. You KNOW it's comin!!
TBH i think its on the hunters, if anything. Just trade growl between the pets and heal the pets? Sure one pet is low lvl, but even if so then one pet can tank then tyler can tank when one of them gets sleeped and let the other pet growl after he gets sleeped or if it growls before he gets sleeped. Very simple, bad hunters.
I played WoW for a long time, but can someone explain to me why the fuck would a Warrior tank a LV50+ Dungeon without a Shield??? Besides every other mistake the group did.
Terrible explanation of what the boss was going to do. Add-ons don't matter in situations like this. Add-ons give you extra information but if you don't know what it means they really don't help. Its literally T1's first time ever seeing the boss. Explaining the banish as a "CC" to someone who's never seen it is pretty wild. Why you would ever try that boss under leveled with 1 taunt and a brand new tank is the real question. Even a lot of experience players skip that boss in HC leveling
This guy is the kind of guy I want to avoid playing WoW and it makes me embarrassed to see an adult behaving this way. He can't explain what's happening on screen without throwing shit at the people he's making money from reacting to his content.
hitting challenger in league compared to PVE classic wow is laughable. people seriously underestimate t1 btw his pets were too underleveledd to even hold aggro
The way you do this boss is the opposite, you have tank always tanking and dps just chill with threat and make sure theyre below the pet on threat. When tank gets slumbered, the pet gets aggro and its all gucchi, tank gets out, taunts the boss again, rinse and repeat. If you let the pet tank first and eat the slumbers, they will never make it back on top of the threat table, because Growl, even though the tooltip says its a taunt, its not, it simply increases the pet's threat by X amount. It wasnt Tyler's fault, because even if they followed the strat, pet gets slept and after the 1st sleep, tyler has to eat all the rest of them, because pets cant hold threat when theyre low levels and noone has threat meters.
it was tylers fault partially, everyone in the groups made a decision to join the dungeon and if you have 2 lvl40something hunters then you kind of deserve to die. unless you are tyler, cus hes new to the game
Its still at the very least a big part Tylers fault because this is the strat they chose and it took him less than 30 seconds to take aggro while his one job was not having aggro
@@Indy_rawr he was autoattacking and tried to build rage, and the hunters pets couldnt taunt it cus theyre too low level. everyone in the group is at fault
Because HC players are all veteran sweat who speedrun dungeons and shields limit their dps output but yeah this meme that shields are useless (especially for new players) has to go.
G-Whoever ? XD imagine tyler typing the following in google: ' how important is a threat meter for a tank in wow? ' As a tank, you want to be able to quickly glance at the threat meter to see who is approaching you on threat so you can position yourself to be able to react. Maybe that means asking them to back off dps for a few seconds to let you build a lead
Sealions fault for sure. The fact that he laughed after Tyler1 got slept the second time shows that had no idea what was going on and how fucked they were. He knew he wouldn't die even with a level 40 pet so he didn't take the fight seriously and lead the group very poorly.
not a classic player btw but even if tyler gets threat if the strat is for the pets 2 tank shouldnt the pets be 2nd on threat anyways? unclear if im unaware of somthing tho
No, pets were going to eat the first one or two deep slumbers and leave T1 as the last in tank rotation. By staying at 2nd or 3rd behind pets AND positioning correctly, he can stay un-CC'd and maintain control of the fight. The entire group sitting in stomp range doesn't help and the priest missing fade when it goes sideways sealed the deal. Max ranging all but the tank would have MAYBE given some breathing room to stretch out the fight and have more options. Healer aggro is something special in Classic and gets tuned down through TBC and into Wrath. That priest didn't seem to understand some of their class nuance as well.
To be fair, do you really want to use distracting shot in hardcore? Probably no. And if you want to start talking about threat mitigation nuance, let’s be honest, this wouldn’t have been a problem to begin with.
It definately is. 0.5x of the effective healing amount. In this case the demand for healing was high, the outgoing dmg was low, tank got slept = healer gets to tank

Sealions pet not having growl was the biggest problem here
For those that dont know. Sealion was a FFXIV legend (chad for the young ones :P) when Asmongold was doing the FFXIV run. Obviously that player is very experienced in mmorpgs but that is where I believe he started to be more KNOWN.

You literally cannot have this boss at red level even to some extent orange otherwise it's way too volatile of a fight for your tank to carry, you may as well throw the over analysis out the window because the volatility of having reliance in parts of your group that are underlevelled completely ruin this pull/boss.

Bro the boss used the sleep spell 2 times in a very short time even if they get the pet slept at the beginning this was gonna go bad anyways because eventually the tank would get slept and the aggro would go to the overworked healer that has to heal a lot because they are under leveled for the boss.
@@TraxisOnTheLines thats not how it works. Try again

G-Whoever ? XD imagine tyler typing the following in google:
' how important is a threat meter for a tank in wow? '
As a tank, you want to be able to quickly glance at the threat meter to see who is approaching you on threat so you can position yourself to be able to react. Maybe that means asking them to back off dps for a few seconds to let you build a lead
no one cares about world of addons. If it's that important why doesnt blizzard implement it in the natural UI. boring ahh game.

Every single death has been HIS fault because he hasn't learned his class. "dont take aggro let the pet tank" proceeds to sunder and overpower in the first 2 globals, "gUyS I hAvE tHrEaT"
Can you not dispell the sleep?
Healer was throwing hard, not using frame click heals, canceling heals (causing him to get behind on heals), using flash heal causing oom, getting aggro because he doest have any type of threat indicators
so much bad calls all the way ^^
Tyler simps are funny, he plays so bad and you all jump through soo many hoops to defend him. Drop the ego and learn to tank
Ever since this new chapter for Onlyfangs began, I had a very big hate for T1. He was just so obnoxious it was hard to watch any clip he was in. Though, I will say, even though he sqrews up here and there, he's atleast learning and still leveling. He needs some indepth talking / training if he's going to be a MT but he's not doing to bad honestly. I actually enjoy seeing him succeed and not die these days.
I have never stopped in this dungeon to talk about tactics, they were massively overthinking it
lol dude best thing you should do is nothing
Little Caesars is a thing?
It is very simple. Some of them went low level. If low level group really needs to respect mechanics. Got content out of it. Good bye.. was it 3 deaths? /facepalm
I did not know that it was hard to look and see who's portrait is the most red lol. Obviously he knows that when his portrait is red it means he is being attacked. So what does he think it means when he does not see the red on his portrait in the middle of a boss fight?
so many tyler fan girls in this comment section. All his fault but the people grouping with him had it comming doing any content with someone that bad who is not willing to get any better.
What is this AI editing?
"he is so bad" coming from soda is crazy
soda nowadays is such an arrogant man baby
hes not wrong tho
Soda isn't exactly the efficient wow player but he has played the game for decades, Wow is a knowledge game, the more you know the better you are responding to situations, the equivalent would be t1 playing Lol with soda and saying this, how does that seem weird to you?
i dont even think deep slumber can hit pets, it will just go to the highest on the threat table that is a player
2 hunters they could of just pet taunted back and forth whole fight lol
Vanilla pets don't have taunt sadly
@@santtuj What? Ever heard of Growl? Hunter Pets arent Paladins lol
@@dr.dudemeister7013That would be a threat generating ability the way sunder armor is, not a taunt
@@santtuj Tf you on buddy? To quote the ability (source WoWHead): “Taunt the target, increase the likelihood the creature will attack you”
So yes, Hunter Pets have a taunt, its called growl lol
Tyler1 is a huge ego. He kills everyone
that was frustrating. Sea lion seems to be trying to avoid blaming Tyler when it was Tyler’s fault… pet had aggro and Tyler decides to overpower and drop sunder which is huge threat. Then doesn’t tell Tyler his mistakes even when it seems T1 can figure out for himself that he messed up. Probably because sea lion doesn’t want to call out a bigger streamer because of clout or something like that.
