These guys are such a great example of how you don't need fancy gear and shiny production as long as you have some sheer musicality, and how just about anything can be an instrument.
Saw them live at Allas Sea Pool, in Helsinki Finland, on Saturday June 27th 2020, that's 3 days ago. It was fantastic! New guys on drums and bass. Both great! Had the chance to talk with each of them. I mean really talk, not just "Hello, how are you?" They are so nice and down to earth.
A national treasure indeed! I did see them live at a festival once - this was the moment my friend's cousin chose to start giving me the whole hour's worth of life advice. Needless to say, I am bitter and sad to this day. I can assure you, there is no such thing as "too much Steve N' Seagulls". There is too little of them.

If somebody does not know they have now a new series here called "Seagull´s nest with great guest artists like Tarja Turunen, Noora Louhimo, Samy Elbanna, Timo Kotipelto etc.
And the state of Colorado gave them their own day couple of years ago in september...

Song is 'Lily was here' artists on stage David A Stewart and Candy Dulfer, year 1989. Huge hit in the Netherlands, not so much in the rest of the world. Probably because the movie was crap-on-a-stick. Why else would you call a movie 'de kassière'. I mean transmorphing it into an French sounding word doesn't mean it has more weight than what it is, the girl at the till. Two versions to choose from, the first A clip from the movie or B the live version
