Composer's note:
Larix Decidua is a piece dedicated to the nature of the Aosta Valley and the title comes from Latin and means larch.
The piece takes its cue from this tree because its wood and resin are often used for stringed instruments.
I composed a melody to emphasise the lyrical aspect of the instrument, starting with a few simple notes and small rhythmic cells and gradually developing them.
