Now can you imagine what the old folks home will sound like in 20-30 years from now. AC/DC blasting down the hallways and elderly people sitting wheelchairs head banging. Lol
Hell no I ain't gonna be sitting in my wheelchair headbanging. I am gonna mount a 454 flathead to my chair with a 5 speed hurst shifter kit and 36" whitewalls and see if I can get my chair up to 200mph while headbanging. lol
"It looks like I'm in the middle of an earthquake." That's funny. This concert registered on Richter scales measuring for earthquakes. The synchronized jumping was enough to actually shake the ground. That's an epic concert.
Any concert held at that stadium thousands go. The River Plate stadium is the biggest stadium in Argentina . On top of that , River Plate is my home ⚽️ team. I've seen many concerts & games there. In 2018 football ⚽️ lovers were all watching TV or at the stadium watching the final game of the Copa Libertadores against our biggest rival that has never happened in history. We played against Boca jr. Check out the highlights 🏆
Back in '09, these guys were between their mid 50's to their early 60's, with Angus being the baby at (I believe) 54! This is how your parents and grandparents rock! 😎🤘
Rock has many genres and many many different sounds associated with it. If I was trying to explain to someone who'd never listened to music what rock music was. Of all the bands I could choose from I'd play them an AC/DC track. Now I disagree that AC/DC is the greatest rock band of all time but they have the sound that best explains rock as a whole. And they are among my favorite bands.
Angus young could play the guitar while falling down stairs! AC/DC IS KINGS OF ROCK! I've been a fan for more than 3 decades! Bonus info: They have a younger brother from another mother in the shape of Airbourne!
Airbourne represent!! I was introduced to them last year, and I love them! Their music is awesome!! I was thrilled to find them & their attitude to music really makes me feel hopeful for the future of Aussie rock :) Also a huge AC\DC fan, having grown up on the music for decades.
Brian Johnson is now 76 - the same age as many of his Fans , try to imagine sitting in an Elderly Care Home and during the breakfast buffet they listen to ACDC
It's even crazier when you learn that this is the 2nd lead singer, the original lead Bon Scott, passed away in 1980. Was hard to imagine someone taking over and matching his vocal style.
They just announced a world tour starting in April of 2024 . it kicks off in Europe , they announced the dates 2 days ago and all European dates have already sold out. ALL our stadiums......
Angus and Brian will be there. The rhythm guitar that Malcom played will be covered by their nephew. Cliff, the bass player and Phil, the drummer, are not announced. I don’t know who’s in charge. But I’ll be there, first concert of the tour, May 17th. With 70.000 people in a football stadium. And yes, they took 185€ for a ticket, but that’s sadly normal after COVID hit the industry very hard. Adele charged 400€ for a ticket, so AC/DC is still not so greedy. And the complete tour was sold out in half an hour!
Highway to Hell Is about a road that went to a bar in Australia. It went down to the bottom of a hill. There were alot of wrecks at the bottom and people were killed. They nicknamed it the Highway to Hell. It's in one of the books
You've got to see them at the grammys 2015. They were amazing! Also yes they're still performing. I've got tickets to see them at Wembley Stadium, July 3rd, capacity 92,000. Can't wait! 🎸⚡️🤟😮
AC/DC was always great live as were many of the bands from this era. There was no auto tune the bands had to have talent to make it. So glad I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s. The music was incredible.
Brian Johnson (born 5 October 1947) is an English singer and songwriter. In 1980, after the death of Bon Scott, he became the third lead singer of the Australian rock band AC/DC.
AC/DC was an amazing show. 3plus hours of 100 percent energy. Lots of running around interaction with the crowd, sweating like roasted hogs and loving every minute of it. They never phoned it in. They were a group that LOVED what they did and put out the best every performance. How Brian Johnson could sustain that singing style for that long boggles the mind. Bon Scott, their original lead singer was also phenominal, but sadly drank himself to death.
Brian Johnson stated in an interview that he never warms up his voice. "I use to walk in backstage and hear these other singers doing scales, etc. to warm up before going onstage. I never understood it... I just go out and whatever comes out, comes out"
Brian was in his mid '60's when this was recorded. This was in front of the greatest hard rock mosh pit on earth. God love AC/DC and God rest Malcolm Young. 🙋♂
AC/DC has two main eras. The Bon Scott era gave the feeling of " you don't mess with us because we're crazy" . The Brian Johnson era gives the feeling of "you don't mess with us because we're bad"
Welcome to Australia BP this is prob the longest still running band besides queen. Australia's best band of all time and forever will be. RIP BON SCOTT the original OG vocalist
These giys are professionals. There is no substitute for pros. "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly" theme by the Danish National Orchestra Symphony is an instrumental that will drive this point home and leave you amazed.
The song 'Whole Lotta Rosie' is about 5 minutes or so on press. Live it turns into a 23 minute song with a 17 minute guitar solo. Angus Young used to walk around the arena on the shoulders of a security guard while playing this solo. Incredible performance every single time they step on stage.
There is a video of a huge crowd singing bohemian rhapsody , I think they were waiting for a Green Day concert to start..that one is awesome , so many people jumping at the same time
My favorite joke around this track is: "The fact there is a Highway to Hell and Stairway to Heaven states something about expected traffic numbers". An oldie but Goody. As for Brian's singing, yeah he still sounds like this. But they need a lot of breaks between songs (at least in the last concert I saw them live at).
This is Australian Rock and Rock. They were huge in Australia in the 70s then the world. Angus Young dressed like a school boy best arock guitarist ever. They give you a reason to stomp and let your hair down. So much wholesome fun.
You were commenting in the video about how singer's voices change as they get older. When Brian Johnson was asked something about how he maintained vocal health his reply was something along the lines of whiskey and cigarettes.
The original lead singer Bon Scott died at age 33. The original whisky voice of legends. I really didn’t know at the time if they could ever replace him, But they did with great success. The love/hate..it reminds me of replacing other famous lead singers. How much hate did Sammy Hagar get when he replaced David Lee Roth?
Bon knew Brian Johnson, personally and told his bandmates that IF anything should ever happen to him, they should look into recruiting him. Bon chose his replacement.
@@wesalker3479 awe…that’s great insight..sad..maybe Bon knew one day his drinking would get the best of him. I was in High School at the time. I remember the boys in total disbelief. They really took it hard.

one of the moments that I wish I could go back to the past, and spend all my money on a trip and a ticket to Argentina...and be there at River Plate stadium 🤘
I stood in line for ACDC tickets in MN, in 2001, below zero weather - 3 months pregnant! Wtf??? Seems like an eternity ago- before massive use of cell phones- praying they don't sell out before you get to the ticket booth lol. Saw them live at 5 months pregnant, and to this day, it is one of the best live concerts I've ever been to. Angus's feet literally, do not stop moving the entire show! The cannons were there, and awesome! My son, (now 22) knows he is automatically inducted into the ACDC fan club because he was "there" with me during the concert lol
The band stated this song is about being on tour with with your friends. Just the “hell” and fun of it. Nothing more. Besides, its my favorite starting riff to ANY rock song.
The original singer passed away. He was a fantastic front man. They hit the jack pot with Brian, as he was able to carry the AC/DC sound while not mimicking the original singer. Brian sounds the same as 1980. He nearly retired claiming voice issues, but we fans haven't noticed much change.
I saw these guys 3 times in the last 30 years. Brian Johnson's voice has always sound this good even today. Prior to him, Bon Scott was the singer until his death and also had a great voice. There's a reason why these guys are Australia's most successful Rock band. The song has nothing to do with Hell or the Devil. It was written by Bon Scott and it was about the long hours of driving in Australia in blazing heat when they started to tour early on in their career and being in this little van all of them and their instruments. It was so hot that it felt like driving down an highway to Hell.
you gotta do hell’s bells from this same concert. what he does during the intro will tell you everything you need to know about how great and passionate they are; great performers.
I watched acdc go from back up to the back up band live in the 70s to what they've become. I saw Bon Scott up front many times. With all due respect to Brian Johnson, Bon was one of a kind. He wasn't their first singer but he was the one to really make a mark.
You really need to check out the best use of bagpipes in rock in their song “It’s a Long Way to the Top If You Want to Rock and Roll” featuring the original lead singer Bon Scott before he died
This isn't the early days of the band, it is the halfway point They started in 1973. Highway to Hell was the last AC/DC album made by the previous singer Bon Scott R.I.P.

Dude not too shabby for a bunch of old dudes!!!!! AC/DC played 3 straight nights at River Plate in Dec 2009 to a total of 220,000+ ppl so says their official web site so that’s 73,000+ a night!!!!! Brian Johnson the lead singer was 63, Angus Young the lead guitarist was 54 and the rest of the boys were in their 50’s!!! Legendary is all I can say. These Argentina fans are the best on the planet and they appreciate good hard driving rock and roll. Just look at all the different ages in the crowd. It transcends generations. Unbelievable!! So says Austin Tx!!!! 🤣🤣🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸😍😍😍🥳🥳😎😎🍸
That crowd... Buenos Aires, Argentina!
In my 50s now and acdc was That band for me when I turned 16 Bon Scott knew how to sing ,and brothers with guitars, 1 on bass and 1on lead ,ringing bells
If memory serves me correct, Highway to Hell is about being in a rock band touring. You definitely have to check out the old stuff, Try Dog Eat Dog. One of my favorites.
when this came out, we were young and applied it to whatever our minds made it out to mean - Highway to Hell is actually about being on the road all the time going from show to show and being away from home and family...
I can remember waaaaaay back when they played in a stadium in Melbourne, Victoria here in Oz and they were SO LOUD they were fined for noise pollution and told to turn it down!! lol These guys make me PROUD to be an Aussie ( 58 year old Nana here ) :D ❤🔥

I saw ac/dc in 1977 from then until recently yhe greatest rock band live ever
being there and feeling the ground shake must of been a wild experience.
Close your eyes and block the band and feel what that crowd is putting out to them! The energy😊
This video was recorded from the concert in ARGENTINA 🇦🇷 my beautiful country !!!!! Here in Argentina LOVE rock music 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks for giving us Manu Ginobili!
I used to watch them in Pubs in the early days. Now you know how old I am, the Neighbours hear them often haha
Bro, 100% authentic! I saw them twice on this tour in November ‘08 & June ‘09 and every show is this good for 3 hours straight! Listen to any AC/DC song, some are goofy like “Big Balls” but they all rock!!!
Every AC/DC concert looks like the crowd is pulsing
Loudest concert I’ve ever been to! 💥 💣 Denver, Colorado in the late 80’s
So much fun!
