I definitely use liners for my muffin tin. It makes the clean up so much faster! In the past, I have found that using spray eventually leaves a sticky residue on the pan so, I threw out my old muffin tray 2 years ago and have been using liners in my new muffin tray and it still looks brand new 2 years later. I love your content. Thanks for all the motivation you give me to stay simplified in my home. Blessings from Australia❤
You can probably get the dough hooks for your hand mixer by contacting the company that makes it. I got rid of the stand mixer, just use my hand mixer for all my baking. You could use a round casserole dish for your deep dish pies, doesn’t have to be a pie dish.
I have a second set of measuring cups distributed in my canisters. The 1 cup lives in the AP flour, the ½ cup in the sugar, and the ⅓ cup in the SR flour. If you've lost one or two from an old set, this is a great use for the ones remaining. Declutter the peeler and eat the potato skins. I haven't peeled a potato in over a decade! It's easier, quicker, and healthier to eat the skins.
Hi! We watched an older video where you declutterred your kitchen cabinet and found the paint brushes. My daughter, (11 yo) loves to do her art in the kitchen too. You mentioned organizing art supplies in the kitchen, but did you make a video on that? We would love to see it. We also do a lot of multipurpose things in the kitchen too. 😊
Out of 4 boxes of stuff I decluttered I only had to replace 1 item. A spatula my husband liked using, it only cost about 6$..so it was worth 6 bucks to have those 4 boxes of stuff out of my house.
Ask for the pie pan for your birthday or Christmas. If you bake a lot, a Kitchen Aide stand mixer might be very useful for you. With mashed potatoes, just wash them very well, cube them up, and keep the skins on them, cook them and mash them. The skins actually have nutrients in them. What did you do about your Keewpie doll and the mold?
Great tips. I only have one item of utensils too. I don’t cook from scratch, so I really have no need for extras. I’d buy a new tin opener tho if it was rusty & not working properly.
Candice, I hate peeling potatoes too, so now I use OreIda Homestyle Russet Potatoes in the freezer dept of your store. I find mine at Wal-Mart since my store doesn't carry it. Zap in the microwave for 10 minutes and Voila - you have cooked potatoes to mash or use in chunks for a potato salad or potato soup, etc. I'll NEVER go back to peeling! God bless you and yours.
I meal prep, so I have many utensils, and I use them all!! I have hanging holders right above the stove!! And I am a minimalist!! And several sets of measure cups and spoons😂
And for your pies just make the crust walls taller. That's what we do. And vent holes ofcourse. It holds in the chicken pot pie mixture ready good and has less bursts and leakage.
I don’t understand why get rid of things you may need if you have so much space for it. Why have a kitchen of mostly empty drawers and then not be able to properly prepare or serve a meal -? I’m not getting it. I do understand consolidating and gifting to goodwill extras or things you really don’t need. 😇
but she doesn´t need it... that´s the whole point of it... we can actually get by with much less than one might think and it´s a much nicer experience to bake or cook or prepare food when you don´t have to rumage through drawers and cupboards and move stuff out of the way in order to just cook... but it´s also totally okay if you don´t get it... if you´re happy with your amount of stuff you have, then that´s totally awesome... everybody is different and likes to own different amounts of stuff... our stuff are just tools to make our lives easier... nothing more and nothing less :) Hope this helps a little to answer your question :) Best wishes :)
I call it a flipper. The spatula scrapes out a bowl. My kid uses the pizza cutter and garlic crusher for his playdoh and the salad spinner is for water and grass recipes. I got rid of a plastic French press and wish i hadn't because my kids keeps trying to use our glass one to crush nuts. I regret getting rid of this and can't find a totally plastic one anywhere!
I have several rubber spatulas and several turners because I use them constantly, and it would be a pain to constantly be washing them; although I have one set of knives and wash them after each use. I do not have a pizza cutter. Pizza can be cut with a large knife.
If you do have a big party, can always borrow from a friend or family member or get it from dollar store. I only have a hand mixer too and I use the liners for muffins and cupcakes if I have them Thanks for a great video
why don´t you just go to Goodwill or wherever you donated your pie dish and the dough hooks and see if they still have it there? Maybe nobody has bought them yet... just a thought :) XX
Such a wonderful idea!! BUT this was many years ago...the worst one is when I donated picture frames where I had stored a very special picture of me and my first born son as a baby. I had the other photo in front of it, so I totally forgot and donated it. I scoured that thrift store for months. It was gone. I was SO SAD!!!!
Maybe you could put the extra ones aside (out of the main part of the house). At least this would get them out of the main living space...if your husband asks for them, no worries!! You can direct him to where you are storing them. If he doesnt ask...declutter them like a thief in the night! lol
Don't worry about the dough hook... it will burn our your motor. It's not strong enough to do bread dough. It might work for a little bit but not long.
If you ever get a new potato peeler, you should get a cutco one. They are pricey but so worth it. It makes peeling potatoes/carrots like slicing through butter. I used to hate peeling them too but now it's so satisfying. 😅🤣
i think with the pie dish, you should wait until the one you have gets nasty or broken, and then buy the $100 pie dish and that one can be the one you have for a very long time and the only one.
Obviously, she does need a wire whisk because it sounds like she uses it on a pretty regular basis. She's got a very minimal amount of kitchen tools. One does not need to get rid of things that make life easier. Just the things that are excess and duplicates.
You can put a specific magnetic gadget (don’t know what it’s called) in the dishwasher that collects all the rust and your cuttlery and can opener are save 😊

Great video. I recently scaled down multiple kitchen utensils. Guess what dont miss anything. Probably do another round soon. Enjoy the space more.😊🍽🗡

This is one of my most favorite videos of yours ever!! I'm all about simplifying and getting ready to move so I'm going to the next level! Thanks 💗
Great tips.

Exactly!! I have my grandmothers deep dish pie plate & I do have 2 veggie peelers. And few utensils/ makes dish clean up quick. Great video 🎉
You might be able to find a replacement attachment for your handheld mixer on the company's website. Or write them and ask.
And for your pies just make the crust walls taller. That's what we do. And vent holes ofcourse. It holds in the chicken pot pie mixture ready good and has less bursts and leakage.

Less is more even if you have the space. No need to fill every little square inch.

One is a turner and one is a spatula. Turner is for cooking and spatula scrapes a mixing bowl..
Is there are area of your life that you have not minimized or where you allow yourself to be a maximalist ? Future Q&A?
I buy the fancy tulip looking parchment paper cupcake/muffin liners. I don't like to store or give them away without a liner.
What's a ladle? Oh, wait. That thing that I drink coffee from. Never owned a ladle and I'm 71. LOL
How do you ladle gravy or soup from a large pot?
You obviously don’t cook OR serve certain kinds of foods. Lol
@@marilynrybak9154that wasn’t very nice
Use a mug or measuring cup to serve soup
I have several rubber spatulas and several turners because I use them constantly, and it would be a pain to constantly be washing them; although I have one set of knives and wash them after each use. I do not have a pizza cutter. Pizza can be cut with a large knife.
I also survive without a kitchen Aide. I make bread and bake a lot and still manage. My Mom and Grandma didn’t need it so I’m fine without it🙂
That is funny, the things that we think of to have extra sets of stuff that we end up never using😂
Right?!?!
If you do have a big party, can always borrow from a friend or family member or get it from dollar store. I only have a hand mixer too and I use the liners for muffins and cupcakes if I have them
Thanks for a great video
This is great…I can sooo relate to having multiples I don’t really need! 😆
a hack for peeling potatos in cook in microwave then, peel works only for russets
In NZ, we call it a fish slice….. not that I use it for fish
If you go on the website for your hand mixer, you’ll likely be able to order replacement parts! 👍
why don´t you just go to Goodwill or wherever you donated your pie dish and the dough hooks and see if they still have it there? Maybe nobody has bought them yet... just a thought :) XX

Don’t put the can opener in the dishwasher. Just hand wash and drug right away so it won’t rust.
Ah thank you!
We call the “turner” a fish slice in England.
I wish u could pair down kitchen spoons etc. My husband throws a fit when I get arid of stuff.
Maybe you could put the extra ones aside (out of the main part of the house). At least this would get them out of the main living space...if your husband asks for them, no worries!! You can direct him to where you are storing them. If he doesnt ask...declutter them like a thief in the night! lol

My husband likes a vegetable peeler but I prefer a paring knife! 😊
I don't own a pizza cutter, I just use a large knife. Also, don't peel your potatoes, they are so much tastier mashed with the skins!!!
i use silicone liners I have 4 cats and would never declutter anyone. they are not replaceable
🐈🐈⬛🐈🐈⬛❤❤❤❤
Scrub your potatoes. Never peel again, less to throw out, and a heap of nutrients and fiber in the skins.
i think with the pie dish, you should wait until the one you have gets nasty or broken, and then buy the $100 pie dish and that one can be the one you have for a very long time and the only one.
This is a beautiful idea!
It's not wasteful if you are donating or giving away to someone who could use the items
I would use the rusted can opener if I were you
Use a brillo pad on the can opener, and then hand wash it. Just let it air dry, and it will last soooo much longer!
Love your channel! I use a good knife instead of a potato peeler I also hate peeling potatoes! This goes much faster!
You can also use a coffee cup in place of a ladle
Ohhhh Yes!!!
Liners are for cupcakes, not muffins.
Kneeding bread is therapeutic for me. Try relaxing and enjoying the process. Tami
You don't need a whisk. You don't need a lot of the things you have in there. In my opinion.
Obviously, she does need a wire whisk because it sounds like she uses it on a pretty regular basis. She's got a very minimal amount of kitchen tools.
One does not need to get rid of things that make life easier. Just the things that are excess and duplicates.
I’ve never put a can opener in the dishwasher, because of the rust.
❤❤❤
it's a rubber scraper
I haven't heard this one!!
You can put a specific magnetic gadget (don’t know what it’s called) in the dishwasher that collects all the rust and your cuttlery and can opener are save 😊
