I love Marny Stanier's ceiling fan commercial! Years later, she chuckled, saying people in the mall would come up to her, asking her which way to turn their ceiling fan.
I remember the summer of 1992 as being very cool, dark, and wet. And on the days it was warmer it was ridiculously humid. Columbus only had one day 90F or higher all year but several in the upper 80s with heat index in the mid 90s. We had a swimming pool in our community but we only went maybe 12 times all summer. Spent more time in my local bowling alley because I had a pass for free bowling all summer.
The song at 40:40 .... you don't know how long I have been looking for this song. I have literally been looking for this song for almost 30 years it has been stuck in my head that long. I've never heard it on a Weather Channel upload until now, with Google I now know the name. I had a recording of it, just a snip it on an old grainy cassette tape . Thank you

Good example from the summer of 1992 of the wet, stormy summer across the lower great lakes and midwest and the cool upper midwest. This was basically the warmest period and temperatures really cratered through the end of the month. Do you have any late July 1992 videos? Widespread 60's and rain across the great lakes then.
"Melrose Place" and season 3 of both "Parker Lewis" and "90210" premiered around this time while Michael Jackson is touring Europe in support of the "Dangerous" album.
@sosafan509 Anthony Wayne HS. In Whitehouse. I remember it quite well. My dad and I were out chasing that day & tracked a storm/tornado out to the Graytown area. Then we headed towards the Sandusky area before calling it a night and heading home. Intriguing day, I must say, plus the tornado that hit in the Perrysburg area on Roachton Road.
This was just after the WeatherStar 4000 was installed at this cable system. The audio channel was not yet properly set, thus the local forecast segments lacked narration and the national audio feed bled through during the Tri-State report for a brief period.
so somebody recorded 2 hours of the weather channel back in 1992 and randomly uploaded it to RUclips in 2019 huh 33:28 and I swear my weather channel (SF Bay Area) didn't look like this... mine had a solid blue background

Only JJ’s cheese segment and Marshall Seese’s caulking segment can rival this.
That's funny

You got the classic Marny Stanier ceiling fan segment on here. Well done sir.
Dude yes. I saw this when I was maybe 8 years old and have reversed the ceiling fans in winter ever since. Classic TWC.

The Weather Channel used to show weather and MTV used to show music videos. Those were indeed the days!
WOW! A low of 64 for Las Vegas in July?? What an unusual year 1992 was for weather.
Its the best asmr for sleep 😭
At 32:32, the music is Joe Sample's "Carmel" and at 54:34 is Mark Sloniker's "Bright Wish". But two minute flavors, one an L, the other an M.

Season 3 of Beverly Hills 90210” premiered on a new night, same as “Melrose Place”.
3 days after this aired, we had a severe thunderstorm/ tornado event here in northwest Ohio ⛈️🌪
I grew up outside Toledo and still remember that night. F2 tore the roof of a high school a couple miles from us.

Good times. Pittsburgh with the Stanley Cup backdrop as they secured their second straight win in the Finals.
I can only remember Rangers in 94. pissed drunk.
Memories of childhood.
Is that an error at 15:32? Sounds like "Tri-State Weather" in the audio feed.
Also had no idea Kool-Aid was a sponsor in 1992.
