Carai mano obrigado kkkkk
Obrigado! 🎼
@@Luigeovane267 thank their African roots!
I play choro and I can confirm it is indeed the best music ever. Extremely technical as well. You don't just play choro. You have to study it and practice really hard. It's like jazz on steroids 😂🎶💃🕺
@@ashmaz4811 Europeans roots along African rhythm. Musicians who came along the Portuguese royal family running away from Napoleon Bonaparte.. ;)
Amo Choro, in many places in Brazil, choro is played on the streets, while you drink a beer
I am brazilian and wich places i would like to move to those place in our country

2024!! I, as an aspiring Chorão from Curitiba, am so happy with this clip! Long live Brasil! Long live music! Long live Choro!!!
olha a leveza desse som meus amigos, tocaram d+ msm
That intro to the accordion solo at 3:06 blew my mind away!!!!!! There's no way that could be so amazing!
Clarinet' solo goes out playing that lick, then accordion' solo starts playing the same lick, and after that, choro' plays the same lick behind the accordion' solo!!!!!
It's amazing!!!!! Bravo!!! I'm flabbergasted
For non-portuguese speakers, some important words:
0:32 Pandeiro
0:40 Paschoal de Barros - Teclas pretas
I don't speak english either
obrigado!
The clarinet, her clarinet is PERFECT for this music which I just discovered! Amazing!!!
Wow - just learning about this style of playing. Sounds great! Thank you for sharing.
It never ceases to amaze me how fluent (no pun intended) Anat Cohen is in this Brazilian art form. I can't play choro like that. LOL
De fato, ela arrasa no clarinete
This music puts a smile on my face 😊
even being a brazilian metalhead I love this!!!
When i see anat cohen, i dont hesitate clicking
I had the rare opportunity to take a class from Vitor, and I must say he is one of the most talented musicians I've ever seen
I, as brazilian, feel so proud of hearing our Chorinho in this channel. This is the music we wanna show the world, not anitta or anything else. Samba, choro, bossa nova, THIS is Brazil!
i agree, concordo plenamente
Amei! Fico feliz que estejam resgatando o nosso amado chorinho, obrigada!
Pure gute Laune !! Danke fürs teilen 😍
Que música tan viva y tan bella
I've watched several vids playing Teclas pretas but this is much better than any other... somehow I feel Lincoln center's players are livin in another world..
I was surprised to hear that pandeiro has such low pitch and depth, I was expecting higher pitch sound like tambourine :D
Glad to watch great traditional brazilian music represented in this channel
the woman with the clarinet is such a magical wizard! ❤
Brazilian HEEEREEEE! So amazed by this group! What a pleasure to hear Choro!!

Very much, and yet even more syncopated. Fascinating to say the VERY least! Brava!!!
man is doing a drum solo on a tambourine

Siete feramente forti!!!! Complimenti

Faltou uma flauta pra dar o toque final.
BRAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZIL
Music is awesome came from ted ed
Fantastic! On amazon there is an expansive (250 euros) pandeiro on sell with artificial skin (Remo) and many positive comments...but it's too heavy (590g) according some people. Would you advice against it because of it's weight ?
100 Euro for a used one is Good. Depending the quality of course.
That guy in the third chair was rly into the music lol
Where is the cavaquinho?
Chora papaai!!!
🇧🇷⚽️🏝🍻🎉 ....💊
Can someone please tell me the name of this song
Teclas Pretas by Paschoal de Barros. Means "black keys" in portuguese.
Sensacional!!!
Bro that percussionist be shredding tho.
That's almost Donna Lee
What is the name of the piece?
Teclas pretas, por Paschoal de Barros
hmm I detect some klezmer hints in and a whole lotta jazz in this choro, but the talent of the players is undeniable.
In fact, the similarities between choro and jazz have always existed, both practically from the same symbiosis and ancestral roots, they are popular songs with a high level of sophistication, they have always demanded a lot from their performers, they need to be virtuosos and improvisers..... ......even documents prove that the improved instrument of the Oficleide, by Adolf Sax, the saxophone, was used first in choro than in New Orleans jazz. The accent is changed and the swing fell, but the melodic lines of a Pixinguinha, an Abel Ferreira, a Jacob do Bandolim and etc.... could perfectly be lines of Be bop , and swing, ........ ..many parts of melodies and improvisations by Benny Goodman, Charlie Parker and other masters resemble crying. The similarity with choro is most evident in Gypsy Jazz, many of the Belgian/French jazz sounds resemble choros, vide; " Vôo da Mosca "( Jacob Bandolim ) , Ginga do Mané ( Jacob do Bamdolim) , Desvairada( Garoto) , and so many other topics....
It's older than both, dude 😂
Just a reminder for everyone that Choro came a few decades before Jazz alright
A few decade? 2 generation before
I must say I don’t like it I prefer samba and bossa nova
At this time europeans only played waltz and classic music , its even older than swing or jazz 😅
Destroying the idea that only brazilian musicians can play brazilian music...
? hahaha all in video is brazilian lol
they are brazilian jajajaj
Anat Cohen os from Israel, dudes. She's wonderful.
@@rafaelhpalomino yes, but she already has a brazilian soul. See how perfect her portuguese is.
