People can argue that Studio Bones might not have the most consistently good animation but when you see that sakuga kick in you KNOW Bones is going to cook
Sakuga isn’t always just action, impact frames and explosions. Sometimes it can be a realistically animated, expression, walk, lip-sync, hand interaction, ect. I find that type of sakuga just as endearing if not more than action sakuga. (I still like action sakuga since it is unique to its medium) A recent example of casual sakuga would be ‘Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End’ it also has plenty of action as well. Just all around well produced by reputable Studio Madhouse.
Yes, I know this. That's why I said "its when a scene has noticeably higher quality". I'm just fully focusing on the action aspect because this is a video on my personal favorite "techniques", and because its my favorite kind of Sakuga in general
@@HornZ. Action Sakuga is a spectacle seen nowhere else other than anime. Good on you for keeping the video concise, hopefully animation survives the next ten years.
@@User_95168 ik I'm not the guy you asked, but the answer is that alot of western animation use sakuga and hire sakuga animators. Alot of DC Animated media, from what I know

Really well-made video about Sakuga! For such a small channel this was really entertaining. Hope you get more traction in the future! Sakuga is really beautiful.
I'm still on the Water 7 arc (even though I've been spoiled for the whole series lol) but I've seen clips of the recent animation and it is actually beautiful 💀🙏
What about Itano circus chasing a flying guy who lands on the ground creating a Yutapon Cube impact crater and then we 3D camera rotate to an upward angle of the incoming missles colliding with a generated shield from the protagonist of which the collision is accentuated with 3 billion impact frames in a millisecond before collectively causing a nuclear explosion that the protagonist is unscathed from due to the shield?
jojo part 5 is by far best looking jojo part in terms of art consistency and high quality animation, its clearly can be seen that jojo staff have far better schedule for jojo part 5, btw one piece pre timeskip is very well animated and whole cake island arc is best pre wano arc in terms of art and animation
Can someone explain to me what exactly happened to part 5? It’s animation AND art quality was amazing which I honestly thought would be impossible for Jojo. I tried searching for animation breakdowns but couldn’t find any
@@JacoB-wp4ws I assumed so but who was the people behind part 5? I assume they might’ve been able to get some great talents to work on it but not for the other parts
@@dingusgoober it is slightly different staff with different directors but naokatsu tsuda as chief director (previously main director of part 1 to p4) , possibly different photography/compositing team
@@HornZ. Yeah, it's a matter of preference. I like the first two, since I feel that they blend in more easily into the scene and setting, instead of this dude and his cube debris. Literally never do you see perfectly square destruction anywhere in life.
@@PonchoANS7you also don’t see people flying at each other at hypersonic speeds in real life. Animation is freeing because it breaks away from real life and does whatever the creator of it feels like animating. It wouldn’t be any fun if everything was trying it’s hardest to mimic real life.

Not a huge fan of Yutapon cubes. They instantly take me out of a fight scene as I invariably thin, "Oh, it's that guy again."
Thats fair. But I feel like you could do that with any sakuga technique like the Obari Punch, Kanada light flare and even some impact frames
