I love the fact that i've literally seen you evolve as you've shared more and more about this game over the years. Seeing you go from just a sprout looking dude with a vague understanding of how the game works to fucking leading a whole party in O12S. Makes me feel like a parent almost. Honestly, at first seen how much time you put into this game I really thought you were crazy, but I decided to give it a try because there has to be something in this game that hooks people in for so long. Long story short, now I’m also addicted, even if I only have access to the free trial content, I’ve been squeezing every single drop of content possible, doing the main quest, some side quests, leveling up different jobs, raiding, and sometimes just sitting down multiple hours just fishing. So, if you asked me a few months ago I’d you were crazy, I’d say you were definitely crazy, but as it stands right now, i understand completely how you have put 1600 hours into the game

I love this content so much. The community is sooooo lively and supportive. Reminds me of the older days back in Maplestory with party quests and boss hunts with Guilds or friends.

Here i am 2 months later, multiple jobs at 38-40, currently got hella sidetracked by the gold saucer..., all in all, im lovin the experience. Not surprised one bit that this game nearly stole you from us lmao, its severely addicting ( in a great fun way!).

@@zuko3800 damn son I’m sorry that you had to go through that, I can definitely understand how an MMORPG can take over your life though. At one point in time WoW took over most of my life, but that was when I was a little bit younger so it didn’t affect my life as negatively as if it would have happened more recently. But he’ll single player RPG’s that I get into nowadays take up a few weeks straight of my life if I get into them, so if I were to get into an MMORPG heavily, just found a new one that I loved (which could possibly happen once Ashes of Creation releases either next year or 2023) I can definitely see myself being overcome with the game, losing sleep over it and procrastinating other tasks in my life to continue to play the game. Hopefully that doesn’t happen to me since I’ve had the experience already with WoW taking over my entire life but we’ll see. Hope the best for you though buddy.

Man I remember when I started the game for the first time. A month gone by, barely any sleep, and I blasted through realm and heavenward and I thought I was taking my time. Turns out it was just the lack of sleep and me playing nonstop
Ive been here since the early days of the naruto ninja storm videos. Watching your journey on youtube has been amazing and at this time I feel like a new season is about to start. THE FF XIV SEASON! I love XIV and even though I'm kindof taking a break at the moment I'm glad you're enjoying the game still. I think it's safe to say that you have inspired people to start xiv in your own way which is amazing and I cant wait to see what other xiv content you put out!

With the current explosion of FFXIV happening right now I was actually surprised you didn't take advantage of that and put out more FFXIV videos, I was waiting and waiting but we got other things. I feel like this is the perfect place to talk about my FFXIV experience. I had been aware of the game for years and always thought it wasn't for me. From the MMO aspect the overall aesthetic of it, I really thought it would just bounce off me. But about a month or so ago because of the free trail and watching Afro become consumed by it I decided to try it myself. At first it was just like I expected but at around level 18 the combat clicked for me. Now here I am 1 month later 671 hours in and I fully understand how this game can just take you away. I gotta thank you for being a big reason I got into it and I hope I get to join the discord and do a raid with you sometime.

I gotta say the last video you uploaded is the reason I decided to pick the game up and even start streaming I recently hit affiliate, just finished Stormblood, and I'm HOOKED on this game. I started as a black mage main, then paladin, and ninja too I love trying new jobs the new friends I have been making while playing and I genuinely owe it to you for grabbing my attention in the game I can't wait to finish the last set of the omega raid and work towards starting shadow bringers soon as well!! I would love it if one day we can run a raid together!
FFXIV is such a good game! For the longest time people have been dismissing it assuming it's just a weird game for otaku type people but believe me it is so much more than that. Afro has been playing for 1600+ hours and sees this truth. The sense of fulfillment, the progression, the challenge, dog, it's everything you need! I'm somewhere around 14,500 hours myself playing consistently since ARR beta and I still have a reason to log in every single day. And to Afro, I get it man; 14 addiction is a real thing. But you CAN turn it into RUclips content. You've just got to find you're niche and run with it. Show these doubtful niggas how amazing this game truly is!

I’m thinking about hopping on my PC & downloading the game tonight so I can try and play it for free tomorrow just to see what it’s like honestly. I used to be HUGE into WoW back from the end of TBC (2007) all the way up until the end of MoP (2014 until WoD released that year, I played and got to Max lvl for that expansion, but then I just couldn’t really get into the max lvl gameplay in all honesty) so I played for a solid fucking 7 years roughly. Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, & Mists of Pandaria were my absolute fucking favorite expansions! I even got into Legion a little tiny bit earlier this year before the patch 9.1 came out since it took so god damn long! After all the scandals hit Activision Blizzard a few months ago though I just canceled my subscription to WoW though. I honestly even liked Legion just a tiny bit, I’ve always done PvP from Wrath all the way to MoP, also the only thing I did a few months ago in Legion was PvP, & Torghast obviously lmao! But if FFXIV is worth getting into let me know please! I used to LOVE MMORPG’s and WoW has some of my most beloved memories! But I just haven’t been able to enjoy it the past few years, also it’s been much more difficult to make new friends in WoW lately as well. That’s one of my favorite parts of playing MMO’s is making a bunch of new friends to play with constantly!
