They’re preparing a new collaboration with a famous Japanese singer (Lisa), so it’s a marketing reason. Japan has a huge market and it’s very profitable, so it’s worth including the Japanese audience as early as possible to get a greater response for their next album.

Skz are releasing a japanese EP on September 6th with a double title track. One tt is Super Bowl japanese vers., so that's why we got a MV. The other tt is a collaboration 'Social Path' with the japanese singer LiSa (very popular in Japan, has some OSTs for animes as far as I know and Skz respect her a lot, so it's a pretty big thing!). There will be only 3 songs on the EP, the 3rd is called 'Butterflies' and Stays are thinking it could be a song that Chan played a snippet of in Chan's Room 👀

I think the fact that they were going to have this be gods menu before gods menu was born made them want to have it as some form of title track so doing it for a japanese album kinda makes sense in that regard too, they always make banger MV's and i love how this turned out :)

A lovely bonus for us that you're posting for ThurSTAY, even when you're not (if you know what I mean!). I'm going to hazard a guess that SUPER BOWL as a Japanese release is to coincide with the Japanese album coming out next month and their Dome Tour from next week through to October, which includes four cities in Japan, as well as Seoul. I don't know any of this for a fact, I'm just surmising. Japan is the biggest foreign market for KPop and so no surprises that STRAY KIDS would release a Japanese version of SUPER BOWL even if there was no tour, to be honest! Hope you're having refreshing creative time, please don't feel any pressure to post unless you're enjoying the process.

yes!! love your every reaction oml thank you so much. meme with idiot sandwich is actually so accurate cuz there's mention of hell's kitchen in the lyrics!! so funny. as well as scene where han sits with mouse and tower of plates on the side keeps growing while lyrics talk about eatind all leftovers (in original at least). you pointing out different interesting camera angles is so cool and smart cuz i got the feeling they were calling back to god's menu by that in a tiny bit.......cuz you know...rotaring shot on bridge recalls felix's legendary bridge in god's menu...... and super bowl's first name was god's menu 1 😀 and current god's menu was god's menu 2.........it's just mind-blowing every time i think about it honestly 😨 and whole concept of football team and skichu (official name of that mouse) watching them at home while eating their food (=music) and mentally being circled by them (=being stay) and imagining that he is their talisman AND newbie at their kitchen?? at the same time and just it all connecting to a super bowl event is CRAZY. as well as them taking photos and partying like they did win as you have said (which is realistic yet huble flex by them omg they're so cool for this). creativity of skz is unlimited istg
