Thanks for introducing me to a slew of new books! Lots of homeschoolers say they want to create a love of learning for their kids. I think we can start by loving learning ourselves!
Never Enough - that title alone spoke to me. I can't wait to dig into it. My PD TBR stack grew significantly after this video and I love you for it! When we decided to homeschool, my profession shifted from a fisheries biologist to an educator. It only makes sense that I continue to develop that profession every year. I appreciate you sharing your PD journey with us. It's reassuring when you know someone else is walking this path with you. The Divergent Mind has also been on my TBR for a bit. Like you, I am wary of ND titles for the same reason - it is our life. I know what it looks like. At the same time, I want to read this more for me as a late-diagnosed ND person.
It’s definitely a “for me title” I feel, but gives you some perspective when raising an ND daughter for sure . I say for me, just because I resonated with the stories so much and the connections. Never Enough has all my attention right now too. Thank you for watching 🩵
Thank you for this! So many that I'm adding to my reading list but what I really loved was the Teen Guide to College and Career Planning. This is something we are already talking about and to have a book to reference and work through together is going to be amazing.
Thanks for this!! I will definitely be adding a few of these to my TBR list, especially Brave Learner and Raising Critical Thinkers, but there are definitely a lot that caught my interest to check out from my library.
I agree with your take on this whole heartedly. My patients deserve all my knowledge and that I keep up with the most recent research/information, my daughter I’m homeschooling does too!
Beautifully stated! I couldn't have said it better myself! Do you mind if I share your comment on IG? I can omit your name. It perfectly sums up what I was trying to convey, which some have chosen to misunderstand. No worries if not, I just wanted to credit your gracefully stated response. Regardless, thank you for watching 🩵
Just finished Daniel Willingham's "Why don't students like school" - a bit of a clickbaity title but actually a book about how the mind learns by one of the top reading researchers, and applicable to all in their learning journeys, not just teachers teaching students, fabulous read! Haha my TBR list is already hundreds of books deep but I cannot not add some of these!! 😁 In they go 😬😮💨
Yes, I hear of folks letting their license lapse and I’m here still vividly remembering my boards . Ain’t no way I’m doing that ish again 😂 thanks for watching 🩵

And that right there is the root of my message, thank you for your presence and receiving it with open heart 🩵

Thank you for all these recs! I got halfway through pausing to look up books before I realized I could go to your Amazon lists. 💜😂
Yes, they’re all in there and in my Bookshop store! I’ll add more when I show the other titles that I didn’t share in this video.
Great titles! I added some to my to-read list and saw some I should re-read! Thanks for sharing.
Happy to hear it🩵

I’m going to buy our own copy of that one for sure!
Just added a bunch to my cart! You know I'm always down for a good PD read! Thanks, Arlene!

You are the third person to recommend this one, must be a sign! And what’s one more in the endless tbr 😆
I think I need this reading journal ❤
It’s a fun one!
Thank you for all the ideas!

I have to do the same with my license to practice law. I worked to hard for that baby 😅 I love how you approach PD with education/homeschool 🙌

Such a great one and other one by her too!
