Yes I knew there would be a big smile on your face, thank you Jen for the awesome video I didn't realize how small these planes was compared to the ones of today but had such a big impact on the war.
IMHO that little item at the very end about your very first taste of flight is so, so true. I first flew when I was in high school, then enlisted in the Air Force right out of high school. Trained ground maintenance mechanic. Eventually got chance to fly on B-52's about five or six times. Will never forget it! I still catch myself looking skywards to this day and I'm 84 yrs old.Would love to do it all over again!!
Great video. Thanks for joining us at the Veterans Hangar of the Camarillo Airshow. Have a Great Thanksgiving. Your hosts at Camarillo Frank and Dwight.
Thanks so much for highlighting the important work of the Commemorative Air Force. What a great organization keeping history alive. I flew on the WASP Squadron's AT-6 "Nella" a couple of years ago. My smile was as big as yours. Thanks for another great video.
I don't know if you remember me but I met you at the 2024 Camarillo Air Show. I was the guy with the action figures. I'm not an expert but your video was very entertaining and I will definitely subscribe to this channel. Well done young lady!👍🏾
Great video! That shot on take off put a lump in my throat. A suggestion, if your ever in the southwest Kansas area it is well worth your time to stop by the Mid-America Air Museum. They have a website I would post but it seems RUclips deletes it go figure. "During WWII, it was a B-24 Liberator training base that prepared more command pilots than any other B-24 training base. An original B-24 hangar still stands hauntingly empty nearby. The original WWII runways are still visible from the air, and two are still in use."
About four years ago I was at willow run airport home of confederate airforce..they had a gathering of About twenty B25s very cool they all flew on a race track formation. I believe this aircraft was part of the show. 😊
Honey you just got an E-ticket ride I am so jealous. It's been almost 40 years since I volunteered for the CAF and got to fly in Sentimental Journey and Fifi also Liberty Bell and Blue Max. The Liberty Bell had to land hear in Colorado because of a fire on board and burned to the ground all passengers safe. The Blue Max F4U crashed near Brown Field east of San Diego pilot Marshall Moss RIP
@@WalkwithHistory yup crashed during a low visibility event.... FDNY of the day had a real nasty time fighting the blaze 😲 impact. It's been the record data point ☝️ for building crash engineering Studies.....
Stick around to the very END for the LINK to the BONUS flight footage!!

Oh yes...they were such a mainstay during the war!
You were right where you belonged, in the front seat of a bomber. The look on your face, the smile. Awesome video.
😁😁😁😁😁
What a cool experience! One of my favorite WWIIfilms is 30 seconds over Tokyo. Great Army Navy theme.
Need to look that up! Thank you 😊

A friends dad was a crew member during WW2 nice of them to let you take it for a spin
I've seen these planes in Camarillo in the past. Last time they had a PBY. I'll be there next week.
Hopefully you get to see it!
Big piece of Army Air Force history...First American warplane to give Mr Hirohito a preview of coming attractions...
