Nice review, I need to do a 3 year review. I got my 2020 Targa V-19 TE from the same place and I live in Greeley now. No water in CO so I keep my boat in WY. I purchased my boat right before COVID-19 so it was a mess. Bright side is I probably paid 15K less. No one knew what was going on, massive turnover and when I got my boat, nothing worked on my first trip out. Very frustrating. Josh is a good guy but Rob was brand new and lost my 15K DP check. I was furious. I'm sure he's better now. My rig has a lot of workmanship problems and every compartment including the glove box leaks. I always find loose bolts and screws. No idea where they come from. I have all of them in one of the 9 cup holders. Besides ALL of that, I like my boat. I love my kicker, the storage and the layout. Lots of room. I got rid of the kicker battery. No need for it, plus I wanted the storage back. My top speed at our elevation is only 39mph. I have a lot of crap though. There is a guy on FB that makes a lot of accessories that are quality and not made in China. FB group is descent and people are very knowledgeable. I don't take my rig to BP for any work; I have a guy that is great and much better. I also have the Drotto and it's awesome. What prop did your rig come with? I did a lot of research and if you ever need to reach out, please do so. Tight lines!
Funny - I have the exact same boat including the full enclosure and even down to the FJB emblem! I like the Vessel View addition. My only irritating comment is to lean to say Bimini correctly :)
Very nice review, I have a 41 year old Lund TYEE that I re-powered with a Mere 115 4stroke. Im thinking about new Councils and really like the systems you showed so well in this video. By the way I got here by the nice video you did on the boat latch system. Great job, thanks or sharing.
The snaps he installed are taylor made track snaps/ windshield snaps There is a Phillips head screw in the center of them.And you can slide them wherever you want if you loosen that screw up. Also even your 9.9 motor has an alternator and will charge your battery if you run your engine, your battery will be fully charged pretty quick on any boat. Also you have hydraulic seastar steering no electric very simple.

I'm looking to trade up from my Tracker Pro Guide V-175 Combo to something with more capacity (7 or 8 persons). Can't decide new (~$60K!!! ) or used...Tracker or Lund...I think the phrase is 'paralysis of analysis.' Regardless, I got some great mod ideas from this for when I finally do pull the trigger. I measure it at 32 inches, Mercury 9.9. I had the same size on my 2021. I travel with it completely down as the trailer would take a hit from and road debris shielding the skeg of the kicker. Hope that is the info you were looking for. Very soon, I'm gonna put together another short video on some more upgrades. Thanks for watching.
Is there a specific size you got for the lock in the aft storage with all your tackle. Not sure why they didn’t put one on the biggest storage compartment lol

I have been very happy with my boat. This past season I had it on the water 11 times. The only issue I have is that the power steering some times cuts out. I am taking it in this offseason to be addressed. Great you found a new 2023 as the 2024 had several cut backs on accessories to cut cost i.e. trailer pin striping gone, the ski pole does not come with boat and is $400.00 add on. If your fisherman, I highly recommend getting the 9.9 kicker as well. As its a real nice option to have as there are times you'll use it instead of the electric trolling motor. Good luck.
Good video. I have a 2022 combo very simular to the 2023 and have been wanting to install the Bimini top. My question is does the canopy get in the way for fishing and what does it look like when it's down? Where does it lay and is it then in the way more or less than when it's up?
My bimi is about 7 ft high when up and it does not get in the way at all when fishing. When down, it lays across the back across the storage Ben and aft live well, but I have always had mine up and have even had it up when boat is at full throttle just make sure the bimi is well tied down.😊

The bimini is from Dowco. So is the boat covers. I love the Ranger VX1888WT. Very similar to my V-19 but with better quality, i.e. fiberglass consoles.
@@GregHaberkorn Paul's Custom Canvas made my cover. BP Denver has a contract with them. The stock covers don't fit right because of our kicker. PCC is a great shop. Also, I skipped the keel guard and rhino lined my keel. Way better for beaching. A guy in Windsor did it for me.
Not sure how I feel about the plug being on the outside of the console like that. What happens driving on the interstate and that rubber cover comes off then it rains. I just don't know how the plug will hold up.
Do you have the 225 hp motor? I adjusted my trim and with the bimi top on and four people got to 41 mph at Steamboat lake. I do think if I change out the prop I could get more speed but the present prop is real good when it comes to the hole shot. Thanks for the comments on my video.
I think it's funny you lay the blame for the "almost sent people out the back reaching for my drink" on the manufacturer... you shouldn't be reaching for a drink while maneuvering the boat anyway. Otherwise, your review was thorough and quick moving in a good way.
It’s not funny that I almost launched people out, and I was reaching for a bottle of water on a place designed by the manufacturer to hold a drink. Fact of the matter, it’s a poor design flaw, no getting around that and I feel worthy of making others aware of what could happen. I’m sure others appreciate the heads up. yeah, because when you drive your vehicle or boat etc you're 100% locked in, perfect, not even blinking because you're so safe..shut the hell up, guy. it's more than reasonbale to take a sip of a drink. it's a bad location to put a cup holder.

The Bimi was an option that I ordered with the boat. Ranger is a fantastic boat. Get the keel guard really protects the keel from scrapes/ scuffs

Whenever I travel I have boat cover on which totally shields the plug location so no chance of water issue

How fast does the kicker motor push the boat? I'm considering getting a targa 19 and want to be able to use it at horsepower restricted lakes.

Your expecting a tracker to have lund quality and Features
Well, I checked out both and you don't always get what you pay for as in the case of a Lund compared to the Tracker, more for the money not arguable.
Happy that's all that bothered you, but oh well!
