Mac had the best rookie season out of all the qbs in his class and one of the best rookie seasons a qb has had in many years. Don't forget, he took the Pats to the playoffs as a rookie and the Pats did not have much talent. If NE had hired an actual OC his 2nd season, he would not have been ruined. I hope he can get his confidence and career back.

I really hope they give Mac most of the minutes in preseason so teams can see he still has it. Bc it’s good for Mac and the Jags if a team that needs a qb trades for him.
50 yr Bama fan here. I’d trade T law and bring in a couple of WR’s or TE’s and roll with Mac. His a home native who’s the real deal. Pats tried putting the blame on him and their coach when the problem is at the top. Mac had no protection or WR’s. Give him time and some guys at WR, and he’ll hurt you bad. The guy throws dimes!!!
Two things, the Patriots screwed him by not bringing in a good QB coach to mold him...and that's coming from a Pats fan. That said, he's throwing to uncovered receivers with no defense in his face. His arm strength was never in question, hell his accuracy is there too, its his decision making and more importantly decision making under pressure. Sure, that ties back to lack of a quality QB coach, but he had it his rookie season so I'm not sure where it went.
I’d go so far to say that he doesn’t need pressure on him to look bad, he’s very capable of playing poorly without any sort of pressure. His arm is terrible, and he’s a clown.
