    You are right about Bantu languages. In the Southern Mozambique you can find Nyembanes and Shoppes these are the only not related to Tsonga and you can find them in Inhambane province. Then the biggest group is the Tsonga ( Shangane, Ronga and Tswa) they are subdivided in many sub groups like Hlanganu, Ngoni, Khalanga, Hlave, Nwalungu, Bila, Khambani, Lobzwi, Zingiri, Hlengwe, Mhandla, Mwanati.... And Shangane is the intermediate language, as all of them were King Soshangane subjects

    Thank you for showing us Mafalala. Those drug junkies are dangerous. They wanted an opportunity to extort money but you didn't burge.
    They seem to know your tour guide and are always ready for him.
    I told my Mozambique 🇲🇿 friend about this video, he denied the existence of that dirty black water and said it was charcoal. 😂😅
    Can't wait for more videos.

    I had the honour of being here last year,all thanks to the University of Johannesburg...it was an amazing experience,but I quickly realized that there's no much difference from the south African townships..but it was an amazing experience

      @@PurityKhosa ,that is a very Noble idea, in Kenya we have Luhya, Kisii, Meru, Kikuyu, Kamba ,, Embu amongst others that are bantu tribes, our forefathers are believed to have migrated northwards from down south, wish you well in your Bantu study.

    that was an old township/ neighbourhood in Maputo for Blacks during the colonial times legends like Eusebio (best Portuguese footballer was born there) and etc were born there even the genre Marrabenta was born there during that time it is unfortunate the government did not really change this place while it places a big role in the history of Blacks in Maputo

      Mafalala is a living museum ✨️ 💓. Maybe that's why they don't change it. But it would be nice to see some improvements in service delivery and the quality of life in general.

    Hi, thank you so much for all the tips. We leave for Maputo from Joburg tomorrow. We downloaded viva taxi thank you. Quick question if you don't mind, did you use rands there until you managed to exchange the money? Can you go to any Indian shop to exchange or is it best to go with a local? Did you buy a local sim card?

    • @PurityKhosa
      @PurityKhosa  8 месяцев назад +1

      You need a local sim. It is very helpful to have network at all times. Before you travel, download Google maps offline for Maputo city to use before you get a sim. But try to buy a sim at the border gate. You can use rands in Mozambique. But changing to meticals is advisable. This will eliminate change issues and being overcharged. It is cheaper to change money on the streets, including those Indian shops. But, you need to be careful of scamers. Use currency exchange apps, then negotiate the rate. you can also go to the bank to exchange.
      To avoid all the hassle of exchanging, don't bring much cash. Just withdraw when you get to Mozambique. In many places you can pay by card.
