Fantastic! I really love the groove with the glued in strip to hold the staves together where the door is and on the door. That's taking it to another level!
Fantastic videos, I really need to up my garage game here. I built something similar out of a whiskey barrel and wish I saw this before. I really like the idea of adding casters. What kind of weight are you anticipating with these barrels fully loaded? I just updated flooring to vinyl and am worried about too much weight concentrated on casters. Plus I really like the look of yours where they are hidden.
Hello John! Thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words ☺️ Empty weight of my barrels are roughly 120-130lbs. I use casters good for 150lbs each, but they are a soft rubber so they shouldn't be too hard on floors. fully loaded? i'm not sure, I haven't weighed any with bottles, but i'm guessing another 100lbs is possible. so with 4 casters, there should only be 55lbs on each spot. Should be okay for vinyl 🤞
I’ve seen some where people cut on the top of the second band since the top two bands are so close together I’ve found cutting below the second band can sometimes make the barrel doors bow out a bit. Thinking maybe cutting above the second band would solve that
Watched all 3 eagerly. Gotta be honest tough, was disappointed that #3 here didn't show how to get to the finished product. The lights & so on. Just teaser shots.
Hello!, sadly the film didn't turn out when I tried to show the lighting install. I will give it another shot on my next build, thanks for the feedback!
Wooooow! Those reveal shots and the music. Awesome Finale
