    Mandy,
    Stay vigilant. Lupus is manageable.
Literature is a great way to share time with fellow Christians--even if it's through pages.

I have an autoimmune condition and have found tremendous help by working with a functional doctor. My cousin who has the same AI condition as I do found great success using the AIP diet. It was too restrictive for the long term but she did manage to get her symptoms under control. There was a time where I too had to eliminate a lot of foods and buy directly from farmers because I was just so sensitive to all the extras they put in our food. After a couple of years my immune system calmed down and I have a lot more flexibility than before. Sending prayers for your journey.

Praying for you! Hope your health improves. ❤
The Italian Ballerina is a book I've kept trying to read and still haven't finished because just couldn't get into it. I absolutely love some of Kristy Cambron's other books tho like The Butterfly and the Violin and A Sparrow in Terezin.

I was struggling getting through a physical book recently and my husband bought me the Kindle version because I read quicker on that. It worked! Though I didn't necessarily make me like the book more, it was easier to pick up and get through 😆

I’m so sad to hear you have lupus, I know that can be really difficult… I’m also glad you have a way to move forward! Praying for your health today ❤

At 60% read I would probably try my best to finish, but it would be tough if it’s already hard to get through…

Maybe audiobooks can become part of your new food routine. I'm not an audiobook fan but I enjoy listening to podcasts while I meal prep or clean.
I don't force myself to finish a book I'm not into - life is shirt and books are plenty.

I hope your new diet will help you out! If your library has Hoopla there are lots of options on there for audiobooks, and they have many Christian fiction and non-fiction books. I love to listen to books while I'm working in the kitchen.
If you're not enjoying the book, I recommend DNFing. I hate to DNF a book (especially one I've bought) but when I force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, it takes me a while to get back into a good groove of reading.

I'm so grateful you found out what it is and how to fight it! The chronic illness journey is a tough one.

I struggle with quitting a book, especially if it is an author I love. I'd probably finish it. Love Jaime Jo Wright but haven't read that one yet.

I usually put it down and look for another book on my list. Then much later I find I am ready to go back to previous book.

What about the Gabrielle Meyer time travel series? I think you were given an advanced copy of the third book in the Timeless series. Did I miss that video?
Continue to take care of yourself. Is the elimination diet process you’re beginning called AIP? Auto immune protocol? If so, I did it for Hashimoto’s disease and learned so much about what was making me feel so terrible. I hope you have the same wonderful experience. It was definitely hard! I HEAR YOU about that kitchen time!😂
    Audio books saved my sanity!

Yes! It’s AIP. My son is also doing it with me now for his migraines and it’s worked wonders for him. The Timeless series book is in April’s book review video :)

Thank you! I totally missed April I guess! I’ll go back for that.
Stay encouraged about your hard work in the meal prep department. I feel so much better when I do the work ahead of time. My current mindset: I either pay first in the kitchen or pay later in the bed. I know you know or will soon find out the possible benefits. If I keep it up, I also feel like I have more energy to simply “deal” and have more mental focus to meal prep. Certainly some weeks are harder than others. Looking forward to you seeing progress and feeling improvements. They will add up. 💕

Hi, Mandy. May I ask why you don't quit recommend the Italian Ballerina to teens, is it because of the violence of the World War?
I'm just thinking for my daughter who just turned 15. She's an avid reader, not a fan of youth genre (she's read most of the Christian ones offered in our local library), and has now been taking out adult Christian fiction. She isn't overly sensitive. Thank you for the recommendation
