I do not regret becoming a Gunlancer main, I feel like he is the complete package He can be a Tank, a damage dealer, and when the team needs it he can also be a support.

I'm only level 30, what are the best skills for single target DPS("bosses")? I figured out the AoE abilities pretty quick and can melt large packs of normal enemies.
Blue build is consistent damage, low cooldown, no charge skills, less damage. Red is the opposite of that, requires to land front damage to head to be efficient and uses mostly charging skills, high burst. High CD.
agreed with Jawn said. Tbh Blue probably ends up doing more damage in longer fights simply because it can maintain uptime far longer. If a boss moves its head while you're mid burst as red, rip your damage. Blue is a lot more chill, but I enjoy red's playstyle far more

I've started the EU/NA version as a Red Gunlancer, can't deny that I'm having a real hard time generating shield to stay in front of bosses > < I just hope this is because we lack engravings and stats at early 50 because I love the archetype of this class.
yeah i;ve boosted a lancer with a pass and its much weaker dps wise than my scrapper in all content so far. i've done the first raids and people were asking why is it taking so long :D

Ok I "solved" the issue. I clearly underestimated the efficiency of combat stats on jewellery. For those who wonder, focus on the combat stats you need before thinking of the engraving bonus they give, at least in early 50. Found some endurance and speciality items and the gameplay is finally kicking in.
@@Keilink do you play blue or red? i've tried with specialization + swiftness 2:1 and spec+crit 2:1 and my dps is very low especially on blue skills. 6500dps red vs 4500blue in the training room ilvl 400. maybe it will get better in T2? i really like this class
@@bogdan1213 I'm playing Red with the lonely knight and barricade perks active so far, rotating between Spec/Endurance/Critdmg. Spec to generate shield faster, Endurance to mitigate damage thus making your shields last longer. This greatly boost your uptime in front of the boss to benefit from frontal attacks. I guess later you can try to find more Crit damage. And to be frank, even if my damage are not optimal, I keep the boss so stable that it benefits my whole party for sure.
If you're familiar with FF14 it is the equivalent of a group limit break. If not, in legion raids you can select one of 3 group abilities, an offensive ability, half stagger (knockdown) / half damage ability and defensive ability. We called in the offensive ability to do massive damage, if you look to the left you can actually see us call her in and she fires her big arrow attack then she jumps away again. On the KR server these are called Esther Commanders. In NA / EU they will be called Sidereal commanders (Si-deer-ree-al)

yeah im kinda bias, i would go with gunlancer. Zerk has a great playstyle too. for me its between zerk and gunlancer, pick the theme and playstyle you like the most!

Blue gunlancer could probably give it a run for its money (assuming equal gear) since it can simply maintain higher uptime, especially in more high movement fights. Especially in abrelshud (latest legion raid)

its the 1st tripod of the third row. every time it hit an enemy it lowers its cooldown by 1.5s or something, so if its enough enemies its compeltely reset

I've played a little bit of RU but actually reached super early endgame during the alpha/betas on both Gunlancer and Artillerist. I loved the gunlancer from leveling to Chaos/Abyss dungeons + Guardian raids while I ended up liking leveling an artillerist but hated playing it at endgame because of how less mobile it is and the skills/talents felt way less flexible. I only played PvE so I can't comment on PvP but just wanted to share with anyone looking into playing a tanky class with a heavy/slow weapon. FWIW played soulfist(dragonball Z character) and Deathblade(DDR for your fingers) on RU and enjoyed them(at least more than artillerist) though I only hit ~40 or so and it was a few years ago.

Jw because these are 2 classes I'm deciding between myself, gunlancer looks really cool but I'm a bit worried about the backwards dash thing... But you're saying that with all their abilities the gunlancer feels more mobile than artillerist?
@@cypherx2116 I was deciding between these 2 as well for my starter haha, yes but it's just my experience so take it with a grain of salt, because you may love both or neither :P I'd say try it for yourself at the start because people are going to be moving servers left and right as Amazon adds new ones once the launch servers reach capacity. Also, if you don't already know, you're going to be using your 4 alts to do dailies/weeklies which in turn help your main character raise its gear score. But yeah, as for me I won't be putting gunlancer on my roster because of how clunky it felt compared to all of the other classes I've played.

love your content man. would love to see more of the classes that are often seen in lower tier in other tier lists. i know tier lists are not telling all the truth about the classes but i got to consider those too somehow. i really like the reaper and wish to know your opinion about it. people say its heavy back attack class and hard to master to deal a lot of damage like other classes. it takes a lot of effort compared to others to deal dmg. but does it make it like impossible to play and would people avoid taking a reaper and prefer taking other classes?
Its not impossible to play, if you play it well you will do well. As long as you gear your reaper correctly and play it well shouldn't be any problems. If anyone gate keeps you, just make your own group simple as that ^^. It is difficult so prepare yourself for some pain.
aha, something to know about every class, and i mean every class is that they can get these numbers too eventually with gear. So choose a playstyle and theme you like rather than numbers. Numbers come with gear.

It's weird bc its an isometric game but at the same time it doesn't really look that way. I think its due to the camera positioning seems far more like a typical mmorpg with a few arpg elements
I think I know what you mean? say compared to PoE's isometric view? One cool thing that Lost Ark does is regular perspective shifts, something that I think is rarely used in other ARPGS. So in one moment we may have our regular isometric view, and in another the camera angle might be moving with the player (like in abrel phase 4 in this video)
How often do you see Blue Warlords in endgame raids and how well does it perform? I have seen people say its best to learn both and switch between them depending on the fight but I havent seen much of Blue in raids.
blue is simply dominant in the latest raid. does good damage, can maintain very high uptime, very tanky. kinda no reason to not go blue at that stage. two reasons why I haven't swapped, I find red more fun and also its expensive LOL

If you want to do the back hop "forward", you can quickly move the mouse pointer behind you in the opposite direction you want to go and hit space, then move your pointer ahead of you again

yup, you get used to it after a while ofc. There are occasions where you feel the pain and wish you had a longer space bar dash, in the latest final legion raid encounter for example, I pretty much have to always use a swiftness robe (+40% movement speed battle item) or I'm likely to just get one shot
definitely, blue are more likely to get it in the top raids. Max uptime, can eat all damage while just pumping skills all the time. other classes have to actually dodge lol
yup should be perfectly fine, more than fine i guess. keep in mind all the major content is group content, but if you meant for chaos dungeons, trying to solo guardians, tower etc. yeah should be good
I guess I do, but perhaps thats because I've put so much time and resources into him. I do love the red warlord playstyle, its quite stress free having to raid with him as well. I enjoy every class though (honestly)

As you mentioned in comments that Red is more expensive & demanding in gear to “pop off”.. so what would be ideal with building towards Red be? - LvL to 50 and do T1/T2 content using blue skills, and switch to Red when you have T3 gear? no drawbacks, a walking god. High burst dps, destruction and interrupt. Only quite mediocre in pvp unless played very well

Isnt Red lancer pretty bad compared to blue? The Damage is barely any different and you're losing tons of sheilding.
burst dmg tpye is better than constant dmg tpye overall imo. I think red lancer is better

Its not impossible to play, if you play it well you will do well. As long as you gear your reaper correctly and play it well shouldn't be any problems. If anyone gate keeps you, just make your own group simple as that ^^. It is difficult so prepare yourself for some pain.

aha, something to know about every class, and i mean every class is that they can get these numbers too eventually with gear. So choose a playstyle and theme you like rather than numbers. Numbers come with gear.
@@EndieM8 I hear you.. but was looking for a change as I normally play just DPS type roles in mmo/arpgs. Wanted to try a more tanky/support type class so with the Gunlancer I'll be getting best of both worlds.

It's weird bc its an isometric game but at the same time it doesn't really look that way. I think its due to the camera positioning seems far more like a typical mmorpg with a few arpg elements
I think I know what you mean? say compared to PoE's isometric view? One cool thing that Lost Ark does is regular perspective shifts, something that I think is rarely used in other ARPGS. So in one moment we may have our regular isometric view, and in another the camera angle might be moving with the player (like in abrel phase 4 in this video)

1370+ when you can get high crit, at least Supercharge 3, grudge 3, curse doll 3 (or head attack) + Lone Knight 1
How often do you see Blue Warlords in endgame raids and how well does it perform? I have seen people say its best to learn both and switch between them depending on the fight but I havent seen much of Blue in raids.
blue is simply dominant in the latest raid. does good damage, can maintain very high uptime, very tanky. kinda no reason to not go blue at that stage. two reasons why I haven't swapped, I find red more fun and also its expensive LOL

Good video 😄 how are you dashing with the backhop ? I can’t see ur cursor movement at all but you do it so fast that is looks like you are dashing forward
If you want to do the back hop "forward", you can quickly move the mouse pointer behind you in the opposite direction you want to go and hit space, then move your pointer ahead of you again

It’s about your cursor where ever that’s facing your dodge is opposite direction it’s pure skill easy to derp

yup, you get used to it after a while ofc. There are occasions where you feel the pain and wish you had a longer space bar dash, in the latest final legion raid encounter for example, I pretty much have to always use a swiftness robe (+40% movement speed battle item) or I'm likely to just get one shot
And altho, what is your gear score? Damage looks too OP LOL
Hey, nice video! Would you say beserker or gunlancer has more damage? (it seems your gunlancer does a lot more damage compared to your beserker)
My gunlancer is also 140 ilvls higher. An equally berserker probably does more

definitely, blue are more likely to get it in the top raids. Max uptime, can eat all damage while just pumping skills all the time. other classes have to actually dodge lol

All classes are good for solo play. Bard and holy knight are less efficient but still workGunlancer is a dps tank. So yes.
yup should be perfectly fine, more than fine i guess. keep in mind all the major content is group content, but if you meant for chaos dungeons, trying to solo guardians, tower etc. yeah should be good

I guess I do, but perhaps thats because I've put so much time and resources into him. I do love the red warlord playstyle, its quite stress free having to raid with him as well. I enjoy every class though (honestly)
Thanks for this gameplay. I have one question regarding EU/NA release. As you mentioned in comments that Red is more expensive & demanding in gear to “pop off”.. so what would be ideal with building towards Red be? - LvL to 50 and do T1/T2 content using blue skills, and switch to Red when you have T3 gear? (And better engravings and such). Thanks again!
