First train in two weeks - clearing the line

  • For one reason and another there has been no traffic at all for the last two weeks (not since last year in fact!) so the line has become covered in plenty of fallen leaves. The mower wagon and diesel electric locomotive were used to clear the line for regular service to resume. It is summer at the moment, and the trees drop a lot more leaves when they become drought stressed.
    The Eltham South Electric Tramway is a 1:24 scale, 45mm gauge tramway in Melbourne, Australia.

    Now, that is cool! We have seen different types of snow plows, even in LEGO, but never a model rail road grass mower, like that, however I'm sure they must exist.
    Nice detail with the battery from some powertool, powering the mower motor btw. Commenting from the northern hemisphere btw and we miss the summer, very much, so your
    railroad is very good to see.

      @melbournesparks3828  3 месяца назад

      It's an old LGB loco with a new Clyde style cab made from scrap metal, not based on any particular prototype. You could probably make a good approximation of an N class using the same parts and a second cab though.
