2:19:04 minecraft or not, i had some serious respect for coin in this moment. respecting who’s meant to be his enemies by his own affiliations and breaking a rule just to keep parrot alive.
Not only is it scripted, it's obviously so. First, it is in the video description. Then, there's the whole narrative style that would not happen if there was no story telling going on. Else, anyone would just dig a few hundred blocks, dig up and escape... The city was dead empty everytime they snuck in. Then there are the scripted bloopers like when they say they're glnna hit the two remaining vaults simultaneously. The build up so that Reddoon gets suspicious enough to kill Luigi and make everyone side with Parrot to steal the diamonds. Reddoon not noticing how obvious the guys were when running around hiding the skulkers in the pots, nor the boop sounds... lol. Coin not killing parrot was one of the most obvious ones too. If you know a little bit about storytelling, setting up the story and building up the tension, and how those require quite impossible odds that just keep repeating, it basically screams how scripted it all is, from the 20 first seconds if you pay attention. Now, while the video is scripted, it's a good watch nonetheless, and it doesn't hide how scripted it is so it matters even less. More so, it probably requires more editing and some do-overs, so it's more work than just a random commented playthrough video. And that earns my respect, especially when the script writers know what they're doing so the story is compelling despite it being quite simplistic.

Lowkey my theory is UU!Redd has eyes all over the place. Whenever one tries to escape, they would get caught because Redd has well.. eyes everywhere. He knows whenever someone tries to get out, he can call the guards on them. I also feel like UU!Redd forced everyone there to give him a contract saying if they didn’t get the quota and tried to escape, they would get killed. i feel like what isn't talked about enough is the absolutely incredible acting and voice acting from everyone in these videos. at some points i could really feel the emotion just by simple mouse movements or shaky breaths. it's a whole leap in getting me immersed in the story and it works every time. such good production value and i love the stories.

the tension in this video is genuine crazy, luigis death was one of the most suspenseful moments ive ever seen in a minecraft video
