Brian, have you thought of taking the Fiberglass Roof out & replacing with Welding a Metal Roof & then use Rustrolium Paint the Metal & over that put Flex Seal over the whole Metal Roof? I have been looking & looking for a only Metal Roof Box Trucks with the concern the Fiberglass Roofs cracks & limbs falling on the roof & cause Leaks & that would not be good at all. Put'n Max Fans in the Roof & run'n rails for Solar Panels & Long 6" Black Piping on each side to use from front to rear of the Truck, for Showers & Kitchen. The Sun heats them up. Use water hose to fill them up from below pipe to each one. I want to use Marine Paint on the Floor comes in a great Light Green & seals up the Floor great. The Military had it created for Ships & Subs & used in Boats of all sizes. Hang in there & got you in my thoughts & prayers as you move forward one minute at a time. always, Tommy :-)

My shower set up is a faux wooden barrel actually made of plastic and a hula hoop and shower curtain suspended from the ceiling with a pump garden sprayer as my water system. Simple. No build. I’ll just dump the water when I’m done. Are you putting a ventilation fan in the roof, or some kind of AC set up?

      Sounds great.
Vents and windows for sure. No A/C planned for now.
The heat doesn’t bother me much.

Brain, removing all the Tongue & Grove floor boarding & put'n down a good metal sheeting to give you a good Fire Break Protection from the Under Carriage, apply sealent between the Trucks metal framing or weld & then over the Metal Sheeting insulation Pink Board or the Silver Board cum's in 4' by 8' sizes or cum's in Squares 12" by 12" that you use a Tube Cartridge Glue to apply on the back of each one them lay over night playwood to weight it down with Concrete Blocks on top, to get a good seal then take the concrete bocks & plywood off next day or keep on for a few days. This also makes a great Sound Barrier. So you get a good 2 for 1 on this. Fire Break & Sound Break. Most of the Insulation sheeting cum's in 4' by 8' sheets, with a 2 R or 3 R rating, then playwood on top then put the Tongue & Grove flooring back down with Sealant all over the back before laying down & screwed in place. Just mark your Tongue & Grove Boards as you take them out as in Direction they were & location. Draw a Schematic Diagram on a sheet of paper to use for the Boards you take up, # A1 A2 A3 then next section B1 B2 B3 on each board & arrow pointing the direction they lay back down you took up from. Makes it easy to replace them back as they were before & your Holes have already been there to start with from taking out. You might put a washer ring on each screw you put back in, there is a drill you can pre-drill each old hole to allow for a washer to just fit in & put sealant in each one. Then Plywood 4' by 8' foot on top of your Tongue & Grove sub flooring & Paint with Marine Paint to give a good Seal. The Marine Paint is real easy to Sweep or Mop in Real-Time to keep your floors clean & ya spill anything on it no leaks in the flooring. Apply one coat then after dry a 2nd coat. Throw some patio runner rugs on top. They are low cost Brian & make for outside weather conditions & very spray washable at a Car Wash or your own Pressure Washer & Dry in the Sun. Penny for your thoughts Whipper Snapper Master Builder! :-) always, Tommy :-)

I like your 3d blueprint. You're just trying to fix the junkyard scrap stuff and it's not worth anyone's time. Sorry dude. Do you hear about the word "Respect"? Maybe your dad didn't teach you. You sound a little rude to your dad. This is how you guys chat?

One man’s trash is another’s treasure. Got any good junk ? 😁😎
I got more respect for my pops than anyone on this whole planet.
Yes, this is exactly how we chat, always, as long as I can remember.
My family is from New York City. I grew up in Alaska, raised by a New Yorker, visiting my New York family often. That is how New Yorkers show respect, talking shit.

    Hello Brian,
Maybe you could tell me why you want to pull a good floor out??? You seem to know engines, so I'm sure you know about making the engine have dial exhust will give you better MPG, plus better air intake. You could boost MPG, by 8-10 MPG. Good luck with fixing the floor. God bless, Russ & Keira

Hey bob, these are meant to be more of, overview videos, not so much tutorials.
I don’t have solid dimensions as it will all depend and change as things need.
well and I didn’t write anything down...
It really was just to figure out what goes where.
I can give you some basics.
      12’ long box x 78” wide x 72” high
All measurements are before insulation, or interior walls.
We stretched the roof up about an inch n a half.
I removed the 2x6 floors. I am installing 1/4 ply underlayment, with 3/4” solid oak on top of that.
Those two changes should give me a total 2” or 2.5” of extra head room.
The bed is full width of van, front to back will be about 54”, and will be about 35” high to clear my bike underneath.
The kitchen starts there and runs all the way up to the side door.
      Using 24” deep counter.
On the other side, the shower will be about 28” wide x 32” long.
The fridge will be between shower and bed in a cabinet, on slides.
The left over space in front of shower will be used for a sitting area.
      That’s the best I got.
