@@suebee0619 Oh my god I would love this so much! I could legitimately see them making something like this, with each perspective being totally different, and even like a different genre of film (action, thriller, horror, rom com etc)... I miss those wild VCRs they used to make, I hope we get more after the reunion! (also nice Rashomon shoutout, I knew ARMYs were cultured!)
@ LMAO the different genres would be incredible. My brain is now trying to match each member with one and it's seriously making me laugh. And well done on your part for understanding the reference 😏
@@shockofthenew lmaooo yeah and since they like being mysterious about it, at the end of the day each version would be so different that we would have no idea of what actually happened at the end lol
The shirtless photoshoot of Yoongi on his IG is a mystery... until an album or song of his connected to it drops... V's Winter Ahead - a song 2 years in the making - gives me hope that they have a lot of songs in the back burner
I think he just wanted to do a pretty photoshoot outside of his usual style. Same with photos with curly hair and retro style. His hair was so long and pretty, maybe he is friends with photographer and they were inspired to do this kind of photoshoot with him. They offered, he agreed. Who knows.
A note on the question of "Why was Taehyung a hidden member?" This might not be the most satisfying answer, but I think a strong possibility is just that... Big Hit were very inexperienced and didn't exactly know what they were doing, so they came up with this random scheme, or they were trying to copy what big companies were doing, without really thinking through the strategy carefully. Now that BTS is the biggest success story ever, people have tried to go back and paint the original Big Hit team as these genius masterminds who had everything planned from the beginning, but as someone who was there from pretty early on (not since debut but since 2014) I can tell you the vibe back then was very different... This isn't to insult Big Hit staff, I think they worked very hard and made the best of their limited resources, but honestly there were quite a few things back then that didn't make much sense, and things could be clumsy and a bit amateurish at times. And that makes sense because they literally started off with fewer than 10 employees, and BTS was the first idol group they ever debuted! GLAM was signed with Source music, so Big Hit really had no experience building and launching an idol group before BTS. It honestly seems realistic to me that they were just trying random ideas, throwing things at the wall to see what would stick, hoping any gimmick or mystery might get some attention. There was so little opportunity for BTS to get noticed in the early days, they were competing in a sea of groups from bigger companies, so really anything that would get people interested might have seemed like a good idea at the time!
this is what i thought as well, especially since it was very obvious they were very convinced that they want him to debut (for example, he mentioned being asked about Jimin debuting with them, which tells me he was already chosen to debut 100% by the time Jimin became a trainee), so i guess they thought a surprise reveal would attract people's attention, its not that they were thinking to kick him out (ive seen this crazy theory too), nor were they mistreating him, i genuinely think they thought its a good promo strategy
my thoughts exactly! as an 2014 army its honestly hilarious to see them get portrayed or portray themselves as genius marketing experts when it was soo clear back then they were just tryna survive and did some gimmick-y stuff because of that. as you said, just hoping something would stick. its also just so early 2010s to do the most random things in hopes of looking mysterious and interesting, when nowadays we see it as nothing but nonsensical. i mean in hindsight they looked like classic emo-punk boys straight off of someones tumblr inspo page, they were edgy but goofy, so 'mysterious' but also so obviously clueless lmao. and to be honest, something about that had its charms, it started the whole atmosphere of hard working but authentic guys, the clumsyness was honest, the amateur mistakes were relatable, the nonsensical decisions were mostly just silly and probably added to the sympathy and love that people started growing for them.
yea they have a few fumbles in the beginning in their strategies and artistic directions, both bts and the team behind them. but that's why everything they did feels authentic, sincere and has a sense of growth. and no matter what mistake they made, you'll never catch bts or their team not owning up to it. them not being perfect idols was and still is an organic part of their journey that set them apart from the rest of kpop.
This was my conclusion as well. If you go back to the old videos, bombs, episodes, bts now, behind the scenes of tours....staff were learning. They also had staff turnover as they had staff that were like those other companies had. Bighit ended up getting very loyal employees after getting rid of the filth.
the "what if" scenario of the MOTS tour is so insane....no English trilogy (dynamite, butter, PTD), no My Universe, no bonding with Coldplay which would mean no The Astronaut. The boys would have probably enlisted by then, they probably would have taken wayyy longer to finish their individual enlistments instead of just 2/3 years, maybe no solo albums either, just *maybe* mixtapes. No iconic chapter 2, no individual brand deals, probably no DDay tour or HOTS tour or the iconic collabs....INSANE. Cancellation of MOTS tour, as much as it hurt (the boys were finally planning on coming to my country for the first time :")), was a blessing in disguise.
Taking longer for military service while having no solo albums wouldn't make sense though. I think having no pandemic would have been better for their discography and for the maturity of the fandom. Like Namjoon said in Festa 2022, things started to feel weird and they kinda lost their sense of identity during the Butter promotions. But at the end of the day it is what it is and all you can do is learn from the bad and cherish the good.
@@nehalilisays Agreed. Army is not that well since the pandemic and the trilogy, and Bangtan noticed. We doubled! And we still haven't been able to clean us up. They really need us to. Bulletproof, win no matter what, though! We must survive! HYYH! D-135! 😉 💜
@Sherluck93 I've heard that Armys were barely able to sing along to their Korean songs during the PTD concerts in the US. That's what I'm worried about: Too many hype fans who only stan them very superficially and expect them to sing and talk in English.
@nehalilisays I'm worried and frustrated as well, but I also think that BTS is inspirational enough to solidify us again. BTS is 7 and Army is 1! We and they will need it going forward. It's also not much fun being divided into all these duelling factions. One global Army is the biggest party and strongest support system ever! 🎉 Let's hope and work towards that! UNITY! It's 2025! D-135! APOBANGPO! 🫂 💜
@@6pades PLEASE the orchestral version of Black Swan is one of my favourite things they've ever made! I need that on streaming + Hobi's recent orchestral tracks from the Paris show + the version of Idol with traditional instruments... and Ddaeng of course 😭
Black Swan is most definitely their magnum opus!!! It’s literally a mix of Blood Sweat & Tears and Spring Day in my opinion. Sadly Covid robbed us of what could have been their biggest trilogy yet (Persona: Title Track: Boy With Luv B-Side MV: Make It Right), (Shadow: Title track: Black Swan B-Side MV: Louder Than Bombs) (Ego: Title Track: On B-Side MV: We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal) 😔 But without the pandemic we wouldn’t have gotten BE… so that makes up for it.
People are so obsessed with Black Swan they don't seem to realize ON is the same thing but in the shape of a triumphant declaration (or manifesto... y'know) from BTS after braving the storm and accepting their 'shadow' Wish ARMY would recognize and celebrate ON and Black Swan as the perfect pair they are
the biggest mystery to me currently is DREAM. At the end of ON music video it said DREAM, back then everyone assumed it was the title of the next comeback as bts have previously teased comebacks this way a lot, but it's been 5 years now and there's not been any group project associated with the word dream
now we know we are getting a Jhope Pharrell collab tho, it may be done but they are waiting for rm to get out. OR maybe joon worked on this new track and they decided jhope was best fit. we don't know yet!
Honestly the pandemic was terrible in a lot of ways but a lot of good things happened too. They’re were opportunities for things that otherwise would have never happened. Or maybe that would have? Maybe the universe would have found a way to make things work out for them. We really could never know.
6:53 Re: MOTS: Shadow & Ego. RM said at the last pre-enlistment dinner that, prior to the pandemic disruption, their plan was to begin their military service after the MOTS tour, with the idea being that they would be finished in time for the 10th anniversary in 2023. That was also the reason given for why their retrospective compilation, "Proof," was released a year early, in 2022 - they were starting military service later & on a more compressed schedule because of the pandemic, so they wouldn't be able to release & tour in 2023. During that dinner, they also dropped a few hints about behind the scenes machinations (RM & Jimin's closing messages, in particular, stood out to me), that they couldn't speak publicly about (yet?). Given how much was swirling in S. Korean media & society around enlistment, exemptions & BTS, I took their hints as referring to whatever discussions were going on with the S. Korean government over their service. aka I had strong, 'the Yoon gov't is trying to blackmail us, so please trust that we're navigating a delicate situation,' vibes. My memory is that things were even more heightened after the election of the snake Yoon, because while President Moon was viewed as having a positive relationship with BTS & Hybe, Yoon's government was simultaneously seeking to publicly exploit them for their own political gain while also undermining them in private. Everything we've since learned about the Busan concert proves that out. I had the very strong impression that the Hyung Line, in particular, didn't want to be the negative poster boys for the exemption discussions & were also unwilling to be treated like donkeys led by the dangling carrot of either further extensions or some sort of Potemkin version of military service. So, my (probably paranoid), conclusion was that BTS decided to scrap their enlistment plans - and therefore also their album release schedule - because of a combination of the pandemic lockdowns in S. Korea + governmental chicanery.
@ I feel like SO much has happened behind the scenes which we'll probably never hear about. I can't imagine the kind of stress they go through and the pressures they've been under in recent years...
I feel terrible for them that they've had this responsibility as bearers of the Korean economy and reputation thrust upon them, but I always trust them and admire how carefully and humbly they've handled all the bullshit thrown at them by the government and music industry powers. Although we'll never know the full extent of what happened, it's obvious that they have really struggled with all of it, and I'm really grateful that they can be somewhat protected by their success and the development of the company so that they can deal with this issues more effectively and expertly. I'm also proud of the boys for taking it upon themselves to study business and media and get degrees so that they can be more equipped to handle this stuff that unfortunately won't be going away anytime soon, as much as I wish they could be free from "potential political pawn" status.
to scrap their plans and go to the military despite all the power struggles they were continuously being pulled into always felt like such a power move to me, really showing their values and how they stick to them despite what is going on around them. What we now know about the Busan concert obviously puts it into a much heavier context, of course.
You forgot to mention that in that alternative universe, Jin would have enlisted at the end of 2020, because the law that allowed him to enlist until 2022 was created bc of their success in 2020
17:01 Yoongi was right, he should've just put it out. It's hard to get that feeling back, and what for? It's better to treat making music like a diary than trying to make it perfect. I don't think we'll ever get 'that' Decalcomania now, if even at all. What a lost gem! JK and V were feeling a lot of pressure to develop and kept scrapping everything again and again. 😮💨 💜
I always felt sad about Tae and JK's mixtapes not coming out... on the other hand I can understand they might feel under enormous pressure trying to release their self-written work to a huge amount of attention and a huge audience if they didn't quite feel confident in it.... but the other members were so encouraging to them, there were several interviews where they kept saying "you can do it! You should just release it already! It doesn't need to be perfect, it's better to capture the moment." But I hope once they get back they'll eventually feel more confidence over time. I've really enjoyed the individual songs each of them has written!
Really sad about this bc they were some really good gems in those mixtapes and we will never get to hear them again. I think they were just so unsure and as they grew it got harder to just toss stuff out to fans vs how it was before the Grammy nominations you know. Alot of muggels watch and notice so it isn’t between army and bts like it used to be. 🤷♀️
Definitely agree, but I do also think that since Tae and Jungkook were quite new to directing a musical project on their own, it was also a wise decision to continue to practise and hone their skills by making unreleased tracks, rather than release something that they might regret. Truly BTS are such thoughtful artists and perfectionists, so I wouldn't expect anything less.
@rkivelover Agreed, but they would've also learned a lot from the feedback when it was still safe to do so and would be much more secure in their artistry by now (I think).
I wonder, I wonder- if 'Dream' will be the title of their comeback, or the HYYH anniversary album. I can see a dream concept tying in to the most beautiful moment.
Yes! So I've been thinking that myself. I wondered if Jungkook's "Dreamers" was related in some way. While it fits the dream that an athlete may have, it also fits the dreams that BTS could have. "If you wanna come, come with me, The door is open now every day ". To me this makes sense as a Magic Shop door... Maybe Jungkook wrote this about BTS/ARMY. I've seen posts on Twt that reference other indications that they've mentioned DREAM, . e,g. the part of Yet to Come that reads "dream and hope & going forward".
gosh this format is actually so good, it's like a bts iceberg, something only armys fully know and something that bothers every army, thank you boramag for this video it really is great
My #1 mystery is this: Joon mentioned in his LY:T album behind live that Love Maze was his favorite sond from this album but actually there was _another_ song that he loved even more but it couldn't be finished in time so it didn't make the cut. We all know LY:T is the queen and by many armys hailed as BTS' best album, so any Tear song potentially forever lost to the void it legit keeping me up at night 😭 What happend to that song? Will we never ever hear it? Was it released through some other release? Is it still in the vault somewhere, waiting for the right moment? Tell meeeee 😭😭
For everyone asking about the Pharrell x RM collab: Pharrell was supposed to release an album full of collaborations with other artists called "Phriends", he supposedly recorded many songs, RM's included, some rumors even hinted at several BTS members being on the song, but then Pharrell became Louis Vuitton's creative director after the passing of their previous creative director Virgil Abloh, so he probably decided to postpone the album while he's busy working for Louis Vuitton. It's still unknown if he will ever release the album.
Ohhh thank you! That makes a lot of sense if it's RM featuring on a Pharrell project rather than a standalone collab or vice versa, since the release time is at Pharrell's discretion, and he's someone who values perfect art over commercial success so he'd likely be happy to wait until the album is just right.
I'm much older than most BTS army - 70 and only started listening to BTS music after they had all joined the military. A year later I'm still in this rabbit hole learning all about the band. I know they were very depressed about the cancellation of their World Tour, but I agree that the other great positive events would not have occurred had they had gone on that tour. I've been at Target and local grocery store in my city and all of sudden I'm hearing BTS' Dynamite or Butter being played. I get such a thrill! Nice recap on 7th mystery.
Yoongi getting his shoulder fixed is enough of a reason to be glad the tour had to be cancelled. Of course I'm not glad the pandemic happened but there's a silver lining. Besides the boys were mentally and physically exhausted.
The theories for Persona/Shadow/Ego are SO interesting, and actually it would make a lot of sense. Going off of the framework for the love yourself trilogy, it would have had a solo member song to start it off (in LY, it was vocal line and in MOTS it was rap line), and also in both LY Answer and MOTS 7, the final album of the trilogy, would have a digital single of the title track featuring another artist (Idol ft. Niki Minaj for Answer and On ft. Sia for 7). Black Swan makes complete sense to be the single for Shadow, and of course Interlude:Shadow would have been on there as well. But, I’m speculating that either Friends or Respect would have been on there as well, since Jamais Vu was on Persona, leaving 1 unit song per album. Either way, there would have had to be more OT7 songs to be distributed across Shadow and Ego, which are somewhere in the void I guess. So sad we won’t be able to hear them ever! Nevertheless, MOTS 7 was an absolute masterpiece and it’s one of my favourite albums of theirs. Another thing I’m curious about: Love Yourself Wonder. It was the title of the Euphoria music video, but it never really resurfaced again. Now, I don’t really know much about it so it could have been cleared up, but I always found it strange how nothing ever became of it. Awesome video Bora!! 💜
Interlude Shadow would have been the first song I suppose. And yeah there definitely would need to be additional ot7 songs. I feel like we would have gotten different unit songs though. Jamais vu very strictly follows the narrative of Persona - in fact Persona in my opinion is BTS' most cohesive album to date in terms of closely following a tight story/journey. Like not a single lyric is out of place. If we got Shadow as it's own album at the original time it was intended it would have also followed the theme exactly. While 7 goes through the Persona Shadow Ego journey very well it is not as tight (in my opinion) as the cohesive story through persona. Or at least it is not as clear as persona does it. The time taken between persona and 7 allowed different feelings and perspectives and the boys typically write what they feel so I think it veered a bit from what it would have been as an actual trilogy. I'm very happy with what we got either way but it's fascinating to think about.
@@zoejnobaptiste3332 that’s true, I loved the concept of persona and the immense effort they put into every detail of the MVs and lyrics. I really should read over all the lyrics again! And even though they had the idea of all the planning for the trilogy albums, I’m glad they went with their gut and were able to talk vulnerably about their lives. It makes it so much more personal to them
the last one is mental! No dynamite=no big records broke, no butter= no bigger records broken, no ptd= no tour, no MU= no The Astronaut, no jin travelling thousands of miles to perform for 3 minutes and no coldtan friendship. Life is hard
For V, i reqlly do think the reason bang pd gave was true, it just wasn't well thought out but i get what he was going for. In suchwita Hoshi mentioned that bts were the first to do so many back up dancers and suga said back then they were so desperate they were just trying anything.
I have no idea where I heard this, but I heard V was hidden because until trainees actually debut, all trainees are “up for grabs” or fair game to any other company. V was viewed as a perceived Ace material and Bighit thought there was a high probability he would be poached.
I think they decided to combine Shadow and Ego into one album Map of the Soul 7 because of enlistment. MOTS 7 was released in 2020 and would have been followed by a tour. They enlist in 2021 and would return in time for their 10th anniversary in 2023.
Yes, YES!! I've always thought Black Swan was meant to be a lead track. They only released the one album during 2019, and back then we were all theorising SO hard that they would be dropping in October/November time. I took their hiatus announcement at face value (because why would I question it at the time lmao) but after it was revealed that they originally planned to enlist in 2020 I theorised that they scrapped/meshed MOTS: Shadow with MOTS: Ego to create MOTS:7 and prepare for their enlistment (which as we now know was delayed due to a multitude of reasons). I love your reasoning for the last one. It's something I have thought of before and come to similar conclusions on, but never in so many well thought out and succinct ways. Conspiracy theories always give me the shivers, lol, even the most innocent ones like many of the ones here. I don't know if it's because of the thought of the multitude of different universes in which the possible scenarios took place. I think I like being in this timeline with this BTS. My Bangtannies
Great video!! This was so fun. Honestly the last one esp haunts me at night. I really think that in the alternate universe BTS would have done the MOTS tour as their big final group tour, went off to the military, and perhaps not really have a plan as a group once they return. I remember Namjoon saying in a live or interview (can't remember) that MOTS was in their seventh year and it was a big deal for a kpop group to get to year 7. Anyways, it's just crazy to think about and I'm so glad we don't live in that universe. I really believe that the pandemic happening forced them to stay put in Korea and that allowed them to do insane levels of planning. Combined with the unprecedented success of their English songs' trilogy, they were able to put a map to the future in place and actually pull it off. Slowing down due to the pandemic gave them the time and fuel to figure things out. Like the way they have gone to the military and meticulously planned content for us without skipping a beat is genius and I think it all being planned during that time they werent touring. And then they went off into their planned solo activities to execute exactly what they had planned. It's genius. And damn what I would give for a MOTS trilogy!!!! That would have been epic. I really hope when they come back they do another trilogy of albums.
Ok! 2 things to say! 1. Khalid couldn’t have been on the BTS WORLD OST bc the game much of the game was completed and developed in 2017. That’s when they decided the collabs, which were recorded either in 2017 or 2018. They postponed the game bc it was supposed to end with them winning a Daesang, but their story kept going so they had to add a lot more! 2. Tae being a hidden member: Back to BTS WORLD. I actually FINISHED the game. You as the player are playing their manager, & all the members were deciding what to do and talk about on their vlogs to their fans before debuting. When it shows Tae, he wants to make origami out of all the cards from other company offers he’s received. You as the manager, player, are now scared that he’ll be seen too much online and scouted by other companies, and decide to make him a hidden member until debut. In the game he is very hurt, the other members don’t like it and don’t understand. You end up apologizing at their debut and Tae forgives you. Do I think this is real? MAYBE?!? Many other things happened in the game that were VERY interesting, and they outrightly say things ARMY had only guessed at.
Hmm, I think that would certainly be a convenient explanation from Big Hit's perspective (and possibly why they put that narrative in the game, to appease ARMY?)... but if they had actually apologised to Tae at debut and explained all this, then why was he saying years later in interviews that he still didn't understand why he was a hidden member and it didn't make sense to him? My explanation (which I put in another comment) is that Big Hit honestly just didn't really know what they were doing early on, since they were a very small company with no experience of idol groups, so they were just trying random strategies and hoping something would work. There wasn't necessarily any master plan!
Who needs Sherlock Holmes when we have Army's and Boracity to solve or to understand some "mistery" that revolves around BTS!...They come to the world to surprise and amaze us with their way of behave and make the little wheels of our brains turn on❤💜...i believe that they have always had so many ideas of doing and collaborating that they have not been able to accomplish everything .
my personal idea about the theorized map of the soul trilogy was that it was supposed to follow the traditional 3 album pattern, but the impromptu group break they took got in the way of that and they ended up condensing the last two planned albums into one big compilation with new releases being mots:7
remember if not the pandemic we could have never had dis-ease with its groovy overall stylistic created by hoseok and dis-ease's legendary bridge part created by jimin. I may hate the mots tour cancelling BUT dis-ease alone justifies it fine. idc anymore about grammys much, as a non-american army I can't care less about a local award show that votes for the same people not because of their actual music performance but to satisfy american artists' fandoms yet the music bts created after mots tour cancelling... that's what matters and that's what lights up fire in me. I can appreciate grammys for simply giving bts good venues for iconic performances but even that isn't mma 2019 with all the grandiosity going so hard which makes me scream like a dolphin in breading season even in the big year of 2025
The one mistery for me is those suga photos where he is shirtless with his hair a bit long and combed back and in one he has like with a bunch of light blue flower thingys on his neck and the other light pink stuff on his head. What were these photos for?????
a photoshoot? 😂 yea, it was just a photoshoot. you cant even say it was really random, they do shoots all the time that are simply put out because they look good / for promotional purposes.
My totally uninformed theory is that it was a photo book similar to what Taehyung has been releasing, but becasue of what happened last year, Yoongi either postponed it or perhaps even scrapped it altogether 🤷♀ But who knows, it could be as simple as the photographer asked him to do some sample shots for funsies and Yoongi liked the results.
I love and enjoy these conspiracy theories so much because you connect the dots and facts that only those inside the fandom will take into account, like the patterns of releases and tours, interviews, posts, and alternate universes full of what ifs... 🤡 Some of my favorite mysteries that weren't mentioned in the video: 1. Why did they DELETE the post-credits scene of hyyh on stage: prologue? ((It showed Jin inside the van parked near/inside the sea looking at the polaroid taken by namjoon at the gas station, and the craziest thing is that yoongi was next to him doing the peace pose when they took the photo but in that polaroid he had disappeared leaving seokjin alone - several very tragic and traumatizing BU theories were created from that scene and they deleted iT LIKE NOTHING!!! *screams* )) 2. Yoongi's black cat??? ((In 2022 when Yoongi posted a photo of Jungkook at the opening of the World Cup on his Instagram we can see the most recent photos in the camera app, and there's some kind of black cat on his (?) lap/tummy (uncheckable but adorable )) 3. What were they laughing so much about at Tear's Comeback Show? ((The one where Tae even falls off the couch, ICONIC.)) 4. What did Hobi say during that award ceremony that left Namjoon and Yoongi surprised 👀? ((I don't remember the exact award ceremony but it was in 2018 still during the ly her era)) 5. Focus on what?? ((Lie, we already solved this one haha))
These are great mysteries! The one with Tae falling off the couch with laughter is so tantalizing to me because it seems hilarious, but we'll probably never know (I guess we should let them have their secrets lol)... something to do with Yoongi being very sentimental when drunk based on the comments they were making... but it's got to be more than that because of how hard they laughed!
I feel like there is some things they haven't talked with us about the situation they were put in 2022-2023. RM keeps referencing that he/they have a lot of things to say in a lot of Weverse updates and it seems it's not related to the reunion but that he/they can't say it yet. They asked us to trust them in 2022 Festa almost like they knew something where going to pop up and work against them. But I just feel like they will have a sit down and talk more seriously with Army when their enlistment is over.
My mysteries that I am still waiting an answer are: - The JBalvin collaboration, possibility it will come bc he still talk about it, but that time even were jbalvin bombs haha - Love yourself : Wonder, even the Euphoria video have this title and am still thinking of the verse of Namjoon in the track outro: her, “All of my wonder, the answer for that, I call you her, her, Cuz you’re my tear, tear” I remembered that back in the days all the armys have the teory that love yourself albums was for 4 parts wonder, her, tear and answer
Yes I was wondering about Wonder too! 😂 Whenever I listen to Her I always think about this. It would have fit in with the trilogy perfectly, and Namjoon said all the names (her, tear, answer) as well as wonder? And there was the Euphoria film named wonder that never came up again? I’m so curious!
(2:22) something else about Namjoon referring to “collaborations”- when he’s speaking English, he often refers to things in the plural where it doesn’t make sense/ he clearly means the singular. One example I can think of off the top of my head is in his collab with Fall Out Boy, he raps “taking out the garbages” where the phrase is of course taking out the garbage (singular). This just seems to be a quirk of it being his second language, and he does it a lot, so that could very well be what happened here. Once you realize this you will never unhear it lol!!
What I think is they were all supposed to enlist after mots7 and the tour. Bcos they gave us a reminder of all the old songs through award show performances in 2019. So... Without covid the solos would have started earlier and they were supposed to be here by now already working on other things without Dynamite, butter or be and whatever came afterwards. We might have gotten tae and Kook's mixtapes as part of their solo release on 2020 or 2021 too.
I agree with the MOTS being a trilogy & the timing. My conspiracy theory is something happened right as their "hiatus" started that disrupted those albums & JK &Vs mixtapes possibly a massive information loss or hacker are my best guesses since there was no outward signs. The albums were probably combined to keep a preset timeline, but I think JK & V were promised new dates that were scraped due to the pandemic which is why their songs got on BTSs releases (I thought they said 'Your Eyes Tell' was originally one of JKs songs, too)
This makes a lot of sense. RM had revealed in a British Vogue interview that while MOTS was supposed to be a trilogy, the plan was scrapped during the ‘hiatus'. Now, I might have thought this was purely an artistic choice, had RM not used the words - there are “big concepts and big pictures, there are also elements outside our control so not everything goes to plan”. So it was something very external that caused the change of plans. I've always wondered if the military discourse also had a role to play. Jin did turn 28 in Dec. The postponement did not come until after BE. As for Shadow and Ego being combined together, I have always wondered if a title track titled ‘Dream' was missing. Since ideally, the title tracks should correspond to the debut trilogy. Boy in luv - Boy with luv N.O - ON No More Dream - Dream But no track titled Dream features in MOTS:7. Which makes me think that perhaps Dream was not supposed to be a part of MOTS:7 at all, and after the tour, Bangtan were planning to serve in the military, and continue with whatever Dream was supposed to be a part of after returning. The albums had to be combined bc of the time constraints since they had to fit an entire tour as well. And the mystery location was important bc it would have been the last festa before military. All this might be a massive stretch but it's possible Bangtan were aiming to come back before or in time of the 10th anniversary, and the perhaps give us a throwback to debut with whatever Dream was supposed to be a part of (since the 4th Jungian Archetype is Self, i often wondered if an album titled Self was to have Dream as a title track). But yes, COVID was a massive blow to them. I don't know what will be coming now. Heck, I think most of what I wrote might have been a stretch. There were perhaps many other factors involved. And your theory makes a lot of sense too. But the allusions to Dream have stuck around even in Chapter 2, so a girl can dream.
another big mystery to me is monochrome. i dont believe they did all of that for merch and a popup store. also what is the merch even for? its just "monochrome" and "eternal youth" themed, how are these terms associated with bts?
I think Monochrome ,”Eternal Youth” may have to do with the HYYH album anniversary which 2025… something is going to happen with this when they are done with the military. RM discussed it publicly with Yoongi on Suchwita and Bang PD mentioned it in a Bloomberg interview. The monochrome brought us back to memories with BTS… if you look at all the clues
Hmmm, I remember that we were asked at some piont about what style of merch we ( ARMY ) would like to have in a survey on Weverse. Like what kind of style we like ....like minimalistic, flowery...etc. I think the pop up store was to keep us occupied during their enlistment. And, yes!....to keep that money coming. I really truly think that BTS, BigHit and HYBE were affraid that ARMY would disappear during their enlistment.
@@jessjoymoyer Maybe it will have more to do with a 10th Anniversary album....maybe one version will be Monochrome a look back, and one version will be colored and slightly futuristic.....I just know it will be huge. The Grammy performance of Butter had OLD photo's during Yoongi's part is that connected?
the way they hyped it up was actually insane. most of the merch just had the word "monochrome" on it and that was it. it didn't feel like BTS merch. i can't believe people even bought it. like why would i buy monochrome merch without fulling understanding the significance? maybe we'll eventually find out more. but definitely felt like a cash grab.
judging by the fact megan had to go in court to release her bts collaboration I kinda think music industry people forced khalid to not get into this... sad but this is what happens when a monopoly is given no restrictions and given all the passes for terrible stuff to happen
Cool video ! I love how you pointed out the "unsolved mysteries". For the Map of the soul , as times goes by, listening to all their lives, interviews, Festa dinner, I think that they probably decided to compress Ego and Shadow in one big album in order to gain time, and made their last "big" world tour before their enlistment in the military, with was meant to be in the end of 2020. That's my theory. For the collabs question, I have no clue, I'm still waiting for RM and Pharrel song ! but it seems that we've got J Hope and Pharrel inspite ? ('sorry for my poor english, it's not my mother langage and when I'm tired, it's horrible)
Same thoughts! I actually assumed the pharrel x joon collab would come out with the "despicable me 4" movie (because pharrell's song happy was in minions as well) but nope
For JK’s album, taking decalcomania track as an example - I think it is very personal. Maybe he is extremely critical on himself or maybe it is not something he is ready to share with the world. Exposing vulnerable part of yourself is difficult after all 17:38 For Tae, not just the mixtape but he at one point mentioned he might not even released a solo album, thankfully we have Layover.
okay, I have a very unpopular theory that ON would be the title track for shadow. and yes, I know that Black Swan looks like it was supposed to be him because it fits the concept perfectly, and I thought so myself for some time, but ON also fits the concept and it made me think that Black actually had an unplanned music video so if it was the title track for shadow, what would it be for ego? DREAM BTS hinted at this word already in 2018 with boy with luv, of course it appears at the end of the ON music video. Boy in luv --> Boy with luv NO --> HE NO MORE DREAM --> DREAM Persona was sampled from Intro: Skool Luv Affair. ( boy in luv -> boy with luv) Interlude Shadow was sampled from Intro: O!RUL8,2 ( NO -> ON ) and Outro Ego was sampled from Intro: 2 Cool 4 Skool. (NO MORE DREAM -> DREAM) ???
Ooh the plot thickens!! The little hints everywhere are so intriguing. That makes a lot of sense for ON to be there. The trilogy would have flowed so well that way so I can see that as an option!
another slayyyy miss bora. i dont agree with a lot of the reasoning for these theories but i rly enjoy and appreciate the way u went back in time and tracked the sequence of interviews and lives and everything like wow that is a lot of work and it doesnt go unnoticed. also the most relatable mystery is that freaking coke commercial like WHY LMFAO it was so random
The rest in 2019 was very necessary and the first time it was officially announced. As far as I remember it was their first vacation. Later Namjoon said that Map of the soul was planned as a trilogy as always but they changed it to one album and I love map of the soul 7.
My unsolved mystery came from a reddit post: the author of the post felt that V's Winter Ahead video was meant for a different song. I commented that there was a Short or TikTok video released of V, on the Winer Ahead set, singing another song, May It Be. So the speculation was that the video was originally meant for that unreleased song but recut and edited to fit Winter Ahead. 🤷♀️😊💜
Bora!! Greetings from Germany. 🎉 I wanted to tell you: I have listened to all your Lives with Borasis, and Borasdog... And I have laughed so hard with many of your interactions and ideas!!! Sadly I never get to participate because when you guys go on live on Fridays, I am totally sleeping exhausted from the week... When you start it is past midnight here.... So, at least writing here, I know you will read my comment because it is in the first 24 hours!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thank you! Please keep making videos. Your accent is ok, I am a linguist, and also I am originally from a Latin country. De modo que hablo español, inglés, alemán, un poco de italiano y estoy estudiando francés!! I also want to learn Korean until I die! And I envy you guys sooo much because you have indeed attended a BTS concert!! I hope I can make that dream come true in 2026.... Hoping they come to Europe again!!!! Anyway, just my greetings!!! Your video here, as usual, very cool!!! Love it! I also have watched most of your ranking videos and I adore your chapter one BTS discography... If I get to be in touch with you one day, I will tell you about my little 500 pages BTS project... Maybe you will like it as well.... Too much talking, sorry Greetings Take care of yourself. Love Borahae!!!! 💜
🤝 Bleibe wach bis mir die Augen zufallen. Muss noch den letzten Stream anschauen. War kurz nach dem Ranking zu müde. Und Internet im Hotel war nicht das beste. 🤭
I have major trust issues bcoz tae keeps releasing snippets of beautiful songs and then ends up completely deleting them😭😭😭 I remember I loved 'Travel with me' he shared on insta story but then he later said that song is deleted 😭😭
OMG I remember I was so obsessed with that snippet. Tae is such a tease.😭 I wish they released their mixtape songs with the albums. I truly hope they are not completely gone and they consider releasing one day.
I remember when the Coke commercial came out. I didn't care how or why it came about - I just loved it and everyone was saying 'Yes! We need a BTS rock song!' and 'Could we please get the full length version!' (me included lol). PS I live in Canada so found it because of ARMY spreading it and talking about it.
A recent mystery for me is the ethereal pictures that Yoongi shared, he seems topless in them with like “webbing” crawling the side of his neck/face. Any way, they never appeared in a magazine or anything during phase 2 so far - what were those pictures for?!!??!?
HA! OK! I'm so glad for this video because the fact that MOTS Shadow and MOTS Ego don't exist as separate albums has literally kept me up for hours looking at calendars and trying to figure it out. I'm happy to find out I'm not the only one! Lol Also: I had come up with the same conclusions as you on this one so I feel validated ngl Thank you for your essay! I always truly enjoy them!
There are probably so many songs that are yearrrrsss old that still may come out. I wouldn't be surprised if they have some storyline album songs/mixtapes from around 2018-2021 that are waiting till they get back bc everything has been such a blur and hard to plan around since they really made it big combined with the pandemic and then military...they talk about nothing going as planned and having to pivot their plans a lot...so i imagine it would have been really hard to continue 'storylines' in their albums that they planned to tour when they knew that touring was unpredictable...so i hope/kind of think that they may have some old old albums just waiting for when they are back to tour with them...maybe HYYH related. it kind of reminds me of how the HYYH show fizzled out and got basically no support...i feel like the timing of their big HYYH events was thrown totally off by pandemic/MOTS7 tour/military timing being thrown off, so I'm leaning toward the theory that there is an album just waiting for them all to be able to tour (and maybe touch up/re-record a bit). I don't believe they would so meticulously plan out BU and not keep it going!
actually for mots tour bighit revealed they were planning on borafying every city they visited and had plans to have army spaces and hotels to make it immersive + the art installations
the MOTS trilogy theory just gives me goosebumps, it could have been ICONIC. i do think they decided to wrap the trilogy up as a full album so that they could tour asap during their 7th year because they were planning to start enlisting by then
The Dumpling incident keeps me up at night, since we have scatter and added explanations from the members and jungkook being the last member to confess and said there’s more to it!So what really happened that jk told “you have no idea wht happened “in his live. Another Important Myster is there was a time in twitter in 2021 or 2022 i think (don’t remember exactly) where suddenly all of the airports accounts/Airline accounts from different countries started posting tagging bts! And suspiciously other countries airports also started doing this! So my theory was it that a specific 1 country tagged bts in hope for them to concert in their country and rest follow the trend and did! Or was it a real thing going on inside!
One thing to remember about the MotS trilogy is covid. We, in the US, started hearing reports of it late 2019. It could be that things were put on hold due to the rising cases in various countries. The US went on lckdown mid-March so it's not an unlikely factor.
Fun video Bora! You are quite the investigator. I especially love the last one too… does make me emotional and grateful they just foraged ahead in spite of the covid setback and absolutely exploded because of it. I just think these magical 7 beings were destined for greatness regardless of which path it was though!! 💜
To all the ARMYS who are asking about the DREAM mystery, I think that it is still going to be revealed what 'Dream' concept truly is. Proof- in a recent video of BT21 the last word displayed in it was DREAM. SO that is still prevailing and I hope we can get the answers of it.
1. why they never performed paradise, pluto and louder than bombs; 2. what happened to nam's feat with pharrell williams; 3. ddaeng off spotify even though it's one of their most famous songs;
Hi! Here r my thoughts to ur points: 1. they did perform 134340! (I'm so happy they did bc I was born for this song). They said Louder than Bombs was too high to sing live (understandable, bc damn) and about paradise: well jk didn't even remember they had the song lmao :( but the key is also very high, so. 2. I AGREE! Still waiting for that 3. I need ddaeng. on. spotify.
Wow. As a BTS ARMY since July 2022, deeply involved and having watched a lot of their content from different eras, this video completely blew my mind. The amount of information I still have to learn feels endless. I watched it and had this strange feeling-like the people you’re talking about are the ones I love the most, yet the info was so new to me that it felt like I was looking at strangers. Such a weird but fascinating experience. Thank you for this amazing video!
The mysterious concert was supposed to be in INDIA but due to pandemic they cancelled it, watch their interview with sakshma shrivastav where they mentioned that they were gonna come to india but because pandemic they couldn’t. 23:25
As always, you have another amazing video. Love how well thought out and supported it was even when you put on your "clown clothes"!!! You wear them well. Thanks so much.
Hi Bora, this video was great! If you ever run out of ideas on what to make videos about, you should consider making a BU lore video with all the unanswered questions we were left with or theories on other storylines in their projects if you want! You are amazing at doing research and analysis 💜
@ yessss! Like so many things keep me up at night, why did hobi carry the girl on his back in the pouring rain instead of calling an ambulance, how did jimin get injured so badly from falling down??
Tinashe was also having issues with her record label RCA and left to be an independent artist in 2019. Not sure if this has something to do with it not working out for her to be in CNS.
We all did indeed think that MOTS was supposed to be a trilogy, but im not sure if Black Swan was meant to be the title track for Shadow. Each of the MOTS title tracks was meant to perhaps correspond with Skool Trilogy tracks in reverse: Boy in luv - Boy with Luv N.O - ON No more dream - Dream But dream never came, or has, at least not yet and most definitely not with the MOTS trilogy. Donning my clown outfit here, but i do believe dream will come, if the hints are to be believed. Secondly, i have always felt that timing has been extremely crucial in all of BTS's releases, not only bc of thier schedules and all, but all the Bangtan Universe storyline. All of Bangtan's releases in some ways correspond to the storyline and I believed that Dream was to perhaps complete the time loop, and end it. Now im not certain of what timing it was supposed to follow, but the BU starts in the alternative universe year 2019, which corrsponds to 2013-14 irl. Which means that if Dream had to come out after the end of MOTS tour, and if they were planning on going to military after MOTS Tour, then Dream will happen after they are back from military, although the timing is messed up now, yes. Im very delulu and 🤡 about this ik. But in the years leading up to them going military also, they continued with english releases and never gave the closure to either BU or even the Dream thing. Its bc they did not want to compromise their og plan. So although, the timing is messed up now. They will still (most probably 😭) release whatever Dream was supposed to be after military. This would explain why they were sooooo upset by covid disrupting their plans. Bc to bangtan and BU, timing was key. Now the only thing that keeps me up at night (after all this clownery 🤡) is why did BTS announce Part 2 before Dream. Was it supposed to be this way? Or were they planning on releasing Dream first and then start Part 2? But then if they were going to release Dream after military, then was Dream supposed to be the beginning of Part 2 and not the end of Part 1, or if Part 2 was just an invention of the crisis period of all plans having been changed. Then also the fact that 2025-26 is HYYH 10 years anniversary, and the ‘most beautiful moment is yet to come'. Ofc we have the constant allusions to Dream in YTC and a lot of their works. But YTC ends with them having a Spring Day Train moment in the No More Dream Bus. How this corresponds to BU is my question though. Guys i might be spiralling and going crazy rn, so ill just stop.
About the mots:shadow, I remember namjoon once confirming they did put the shadow and ego part together in an mtv interview. He didn't tell the details 'cause it would "take a lot of time"
[edited for derpy-ness] Aggh, you are so good to us ARMYs, always! The Khalid collab discourse has also been troubling me hella, and I never thought it out like you did but what you said makes so much sense, and also internally my heart WEEPS for a version of Make It Right with his gorgeous voice on it instead of Lauv's (sorry not sorry) - ! But then you mention about the missing MOTS records and damn if I don't *instantly* think that Khalid would have been oh so very much better to feature on the ON track instead of Sia (no offense, she is one of my favorite singers/songwriters)!! Also feel that "Jungle" is like a B-side of something that they either changed their minds about releasing (and i def think it sounds older than a 2021 release for them, but that's just me) or something they couldn't afford clearance for at the time they recorded but then Coca-Cola throws their giant wallet on the table and finally makes it happen. The thought of JK and V deleting their mixtapes makes me nauseous...as does poor Taehyung being slighted as a debut member, there's no justification that makes sense that we've heard, you are absolutely right! Yes and at the end you reassure us that everything happened for a reason and we are always grateful to be in this timeline cus it's the best one, because BTS is the best and so are YOU, Boracity, you forever add to our incredible fandom in the best ways 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Borahae!!!
Let me put on my clown cap on and offer my theory on V as a hidden member. Hitman Bang comes fresh out of JYP a big three company. He wants to start a group from scratch. He sees this marketing strategy in big 3 groups and attempts to apply it on his own for hype. An industry producer(of groups) novice who thought he was applying the best strategy. If BTS had significant financial backing truthfully they would have probably been marketed as every other kpop group at the time
@@lindajohnson325 i think you're overestimating the logic behind such decisions lol. they were just pulling gimmicks to see what sticks, its not a deeply thought-out strategy. v had a deep voice and good visuals, thats probably enough of a reason to randomly choose him as the 'mysterious' guy. him not even remembering v's name also only confirms that it probably was just a random decision, a desperate attempt, a throw-away idea etc. instead of some elaborate masterplan lol.
@@ajlee2168 I actually think it was vey chaotic behind the scenes! The only thing that makes any sense was that they kept him hidden because they could not decide if he was going to be included or not. Then they made up the hidden member rubbish to cover up. They would have definitely made an absolutely massive mistake if he had not been included!!!
My biggest mistery is why was that collab of ON with Sia even released, it was a bad collab, it seemed like that devalued the song quite a bit and its still out there .. I wish Hybe would make it dissappear 100% .. ON being a masterpiece should not have that collab around 👍Boracity, girl I have to say you approached this with scientific precision👏👏👏💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I've only been an Army for about 7 months but I remember hearing that version for the first time and being at a lost of words to the points of me just laughing about it and my brother wondering why. I simply had to explain how that it was a really bad collab, like honestly I love BTS but that version is so bad which is also probably why they never really talked about it.
Gosh im so early. Because of your last livestream I've been rewatching your vidoes and my memory is so bad so it's almost like the first time 😂 love you Bora💜
Lol I'm really glad Khalid isn't on Black Swan, and I'm also so happy that BTS ended up releasing it, regardless of what the actual circumstances were, because it is my FAVOURITE BTS song.
The Dumpling incident keep me up at night especially jungkook saying blood was involved lmao
I want a Rashomon type thing where each of the 7 gives their memory of what happened. JK’s would probably be “THEY ALMOST DIED” 🤣
@@suebee0619Jungkook story will be the dramatic one😂
Who knows.
I believe Winter Ahead MV "and the same for Fri(end)s" was meant for another song that was not released in Layover or KTH1.
This, I'm still holding onto the hope well get another yoongi photobook
A note on the question of "Why was Taehyung a hidden member?"
This might not be the most satisfying answer, but I think a strong possibility is just that...
There was so little opportunity for BTS to get noticed in the early days, they were competing in a sea of groups from bigger companies, so really anything that would get people interested might have seemed like a good idea at the time!
this actually makes the most sense!
this is what i thought as well, especially since it was very obvious they were very convinced that they want him to debut (for example, he mentioned being asked about Jimin debuting with them, which tells me he was already chosen to debut 100% by the time Jimin became a trainee), so i guess they thought a surprise reveal would attract people's attention, its not that they were thinking to kick him out (ive seen this crazy theory too), nor were they mistreating him, i genuinely think they thought its a good promo strategy
my thoughts exactly! as an 2014 army its honestly hilarious to see them get portrayed or portray themselves as genius marketing experts when it was soo clear back then they were just tryna survive and did some gimmick-y stuff because of that. as you said, just hoping something would stick. its also just so early 2010s to do the most random things in hopes of looking mysterious and interesting, when nowadays we see it as nothing but nonsensical. i mean in hindsight they looked like classic emo-punk boys straight off of someones tumblr inspo page, they were edgy but goofy, so 'mysterious' but also so obviously clueless lmao. and to be honest, something about that had its charms, it started the whole atmosphere of hard working but authentic guys, the clumsyness was honest, the amateur mistakes were relatable, the nonsensical decisions were mostly just silly and probably added to the sympathy and love that people started growing for them.
yea they have a few fumbles in the beginning in their strategies and artistic directions, both bts and the team behind them. but that's why everything they did feels authentic, sincere and has a sense of growth. and no matter what mistake they made, you'll never catch bts or their team not owning up to it. them not being perfect idols was and still is an organic part of their journey that set them apart from the rest of kpop.
This was my conclusion as well. If you go back to the old videos, bombs, episodes, bts now, behind the scenes of tours....staff were learning. They also had staff turnover as they had staff that were like those other companies had. Bighit ended up getting very loyal employees after getting rid of the filth.
OMG, what did Kook text/sent Hobi during Bon Voyage Malta?!?! That's the mystery that keeps me up at night, no joke
Yaaaaaaassssss it's rent free in my mind.
omfg yesss i want to know why he made that face haha
This is the ultimate Bangtan Mystery (along with what exactly is tasty in Busan)
@ god it was a long time ago, thanks for bringing these memories, im not gonna sleep tonight for sure thinking about it hahaha
@@shockofthenew That one! Will we ever know? 🤣 💜
the "what if" scenario of the MOTS tour is so insane....no English trilogy (dynamite, butter, PTD), no My Universe, no bonding with Coldplay which would mean no The Astronaut.
I'm sure they've kept all those countries in mind for their comeback tour 🤞 good luck!
UNITY! It's 2025! D-135! APOBANGPO! 🫂 💜
we were literally so robbed of a black swan lead single 😭😭😭 i consider that song to be their magnum opus, we could’ve had it all
imagine an official orchestral release on steaming platforms UGH 😭
Same same same
People are so obsessed with Black Swan they don't seem to realize ON is the same thing but in the shape of a triumphant declaration (or manifesto... y'know) from BTS after braving the storm and accepting their 'shadow'
Wish ARMY would recognize and celebrate ON and Black Swan as the perfect pair they are
the biggest mystery to me currently is DREAM. At the end of ON music video it said DREAM, back then everyone assumed it was the title of the next comeback as bts have previously teased comebacks this way a lot, but it's been 5 years now and there's not been any group project associated with the word dream
Good there are those who think about the same as I think, I have commented about this too💜
Ooh, I have a lot to say about that! I've been collecting hints and there are plenty! 💜
@piixelll Also it was written in "Persona" with "happiness" and a third word I do not remember, and "Dream" was repeated in many VSR.
Well it could also be that they had planned something with it but the pandemic happened and derailed a lot.
Again It's all 'dream', Tae's Photobook means reve means dream, Hobi was going all 'dream, dream' So maybe Dream is back. MAYBE?!
I regularly think of the discussion of RM and Pharrell where they discussed their collab….but it has never been released!
now we know we are getting a Jhope Pharrell collab tho, it may be done but they are waiting for rm to get out. OR maybe joon worked on this new track and they decided jhope was best fit. we don't know yet!
This!!! The j-hope x Pharrell x Don Toliver is coming though, thankfully.
the last one made me incredibly emotional, omg it was really a good thing that the tour was cancelled after all
she made such a great point, i also got emotional lol!
She made me emotional too!!🥹
I came to the comments for this, makes me feel emotional because of how my life without BTS would be
Honestly the pandemic was terrible in a lot of ways but a lot of good things happened too. They’re were opportunities for things that otherwise would have never happened. Or maybe that would have? Maybe the universe would have found a way to make things work out for them. We really could never know.
If it wasn't for Dynamite I'd have never discovered them, so I am grateful for this timeline...
'the Yoon gov't is trying to blackmail us, so please trust that we're navigating a delicate situation' my heart broke after reading this 💔
@ I feel like SO much has happened behind the scenes which we'll probably never hear about.
What we now know about the Busan concert obviously puts it into a much heavier context, of course.
maybe Shadow will be their next album or mini album! But if not, any bets on what their next album will be about?
You forgot to mention that in that alternative universe, Jin would have enlisted at the end of 2020, because the law that allowed him to enlist until 2022 was created bc of their success in 2020
Yep and according the BTS' documentary Suga said he was going to enlist at the end of 2020 too.
It doesn't need to be perfect, it's better to capture the moment."
But I hope once they get back they'll eventually feel more confidence over time.
@@shockofthenewyes, they are extremely supportive with one another. I think this is the period when JK was having a hard time.

I think so as well!! Also V released his new photo book called Dream in French Reve. Hobi changed the ending of Mic drop. He said sweet dreams y’all
gosh this format is actually so good, it's like a bts iceberg, something only armys fully know and something that bothers every army, thank you boramag for this video it really is great
My #1 mystery is this: Joon mentioned in his LY:T album behind live that Love Maze was his favorite sond from this album but actually there was _another_ song that he loved even more but it couldn't be finished in time so it didn't make the cut.
The Hidden Tear track has me wondering too...what is it about?I need to know...like yesterday
we needa hear that song asap or i might die
@@Angelictigerjin scratch that, make it like five, six years ago because damn, does time fly 😭😭
Maybe it ended up on Answer? Although I can't really see any of the Answer songs fitting the Tear vibe...
That makes a lot of sense if it's RM featuring on a Pharrell project rather than a standalone collab or vice versa, since the release time is at Pharrell's discretion, and he's someone who values perfect art over commercial success so he'd likely be happy to wait until the album is just right.
the egg, the post he showed an egg is still a mistery
Rebirth?
I hope someday Jimin will explain in a Live.
@@indeejimin6267 who knows?? i dont feel it is.
@whk3120 I've seen that but I've never seen an interview or source where it was said, so I don't repeat it.
@ I know! It’s so weird, I’ve tried to find out where it is, but yeah, I can’t find it now.
I think they decided to combine Shadow and Ego into one album Map of the Soul 7 because of enlistment. MOTS 7 was released in 2020 and would have been followed by a tour. They enlist in 2021 and would return in time for their 10th anniversary in 2023.
THISS. I've always thought this
Please spill all the tea
we demand more lore ahaha🤣🤣
Hmm, I think that would certainly be a convenient explanation from Big Hit's perspective (and possibly why they put that narrative in the game, to appease ARMY?)... but if they had actually apologised to Tae at debut and explained all this, then why was he saying years later in interviews that he still didn't understand why he was a hidden member and it didn't make sense to him?
My explanation (which I put in another comment) is that Big Hit honestly just didn't really know what they were doing early on, since they were a very small company with no experience of idol groups, so they were just trying random strategies and hoping something would work. There wasn't necessarily any master plan!
how did i end up here it hasnt even been a minute since you uploaded lol
5 minutes...😅
Same here...
Maybe it's a false memory but I'm so sure they actually mentioned this at some point, I just can't remember where...
we were robbed of another trilogy :< i wish it happened but oh well
Omg I was reading this part in their book today, I was devastated 😭
@@shockofthenew yes! I thought they mentioned it before too!
remember if not the pandemic we could have never had dis-ease with its groovy overall stylistic created by hoseok and dis-ease's legendary bridge part created by jimin.
I think he released those photo's on his own on Instagram?
he was feeling himself 🤭
a photoshoot? 😂 yea, it was just a photoshoot. you cant even say it was really random, they do shoots all the time that are simply put out because they look good / for promotional purposes.
@ yes but the photos are clearly from a profissional photoshoot, so it was shot for something but we don't know what til this day
My totally uninformed theory is that it was a photo book similar to what Taehyung has been releasing, but becasue of what happened last year, Yoongi either postponed it or perhaps even scrapped it altogether 🤷♀
But who knows, it could be as simple as the photographer asked him to do some sample shots for funsies and Yoongi liked the results.
I love and enjoy these conspiracy theories so much because you connect the dots and facts that only those inside the fandom will take into account, like the patterns of releases and tours, interviews, posts, and alternate universes full of what ifs... 🤡
Some of my favorite mysteries that weren't mentioned in the video:
1. *screams* ))
2. Yoongi's black cat??? ((In 2022 when Yoongi posted a photo of Jungkook at the opening of the World Cup on his Instagram we can see the most recent photos in the camera app, and there's some kind of black cat on his (?) lap/tummy (uncheckable but adorable ))
3. What were they laughing so much about at Tear's Comeback Show? ((The one where Tae even falls off the couch, ICONIC.))
4. What did Hobi say during that award ceremony that left Namjoon and Yoongi surprised 👀? ((I don't remember the exact award ceremony but it was in 2018 still during the ly her era))
5. Focus on what?? ((Lie, we already solved this one haha))
Yes, Yoongi having a black cat is something that I'd like to be true.
#4. You mean the awards ceremony where Hobi, Tae & JK cried, and Jin hinted at breaking up & was on the verge of crying?
@@secretadmirer5006 Hii, nono, I looked it up and it was at the GDA 2018 where Hobi said something and Namgi looked at him kind of surprised 😅
I’m still so sad that we don’t have a subunit with Jungkook and Tae or anything from them together
Them cutting V's bridge part in their DNA reaction. I want to know what happened 😭
Very specific but real, I want to know too 😭
I feel like there is some things they haven't talked with us about the situation they were put in 2022-2023.
I feel the same
My mysteries that I am still waiting an answer are:
- The JBalvin collaboration, possibility it will come bc he still talk about it, but that time even were jbalvin bombs haha
- Love yourself : Wonder, even the Euphoria video have this title and am still thinking of the verse of Namjoon in the track outro: her, “All of my wonder, the answer for that, I call you her, her, Cuz you’re my tear, tear” I remembered that back in the days all the armys have the teory that love yourself albums was for 4 parts wonder, her, tear and answer
Yes I was wondering about Wonder too! 😂 Whenever I listen to Her I always think about this. It would have fit in with the trilogy perfectly, and Namjoon said all the names (her, tear, answer) as well as wonder? And there was the Euphoria film named wonder that never came up again? I’m so curious!
bora you are my favoriet youtuber!! you always come up with fresh new ideas for your videos. love them!!
Boy in luv - Boy with luv
N.O - ON
No More Dream - Dream
But no track titled Dream features in MOTS:7.
It may honestly just be a hybe money grab but who knows.
I still want a full cover of Jungle! I feel cheated, lol
judging by the fact megan had to go in court to release her bts collaboration I kinda think music industry people forced khalid to not get into this... sad but this is what happens when a monopoly is given no restrictions and given all the passes for terrible stuff to happen
New Boracity Video, guys!
The final mystery showed me that even when things fall through, big plans, even greater can be waiting
Exposing vulnerable part of yourself is difficult after all 17:38 For Tae, not just the mixtape but he at one point mentioned he might not even released a solo album, thankfully we have Layover.
okay, I have a very unpopular theory that ON would be the title track for shadow.
and yes, I know that Black Swan looks like it was supposed to be him because it fits the concept perfectly, and I thought so myself for some time, but ON also fits the concept and it made me think that Black actually had an unplanned music video
so if it was the title track for shadow, what would it be for ego?
DREAM
BTS hinted at this word already in 2018 with boy with luv, of course it appears at the end of the ON music video.
Boy in luv --> Boy with luv
NO --> HE
NO MORE DREAM --> DREAM
Persona was sampled from Intro: Skool Luv Affair.

I think we all think they have to be for something… because they are so stunning. But Yoongi said he was just having fun with a photographer friend.
YES
I just mentioned this....😂 a shame he was just playing around....they were stunning
Do you know where I could find those pictures?
@Moon-py6jj if you search "yoongi ethereal pictures" they come up - there's also a picture with blue flowers on his face in this series of pics.
HA! OK! I'm so glad for this video because the fact that MOTS Shadow and MOTS Ego don't exist as separate albums has literally kept me up for hours looking at calendars and trying to figure it out. I'm happy to find out I'm not the only one! Lol Also: I had come up with the same conclusions as you on this one so I feel validated ngl
Thank you for your essay!
I am excited to see the mysteries that keep you up at night - but I'm here even more for the OVER ANALYSIS!
The last one is such a good take, thanks for this video bora ❤❤
what's tasty in busan is the mystery that keeps me up at night lmao
actually for mots tour bighit revealed they were planning on borafying every city they visited and had plans to have army spaces and hotels to make it immersive + the art installations
At one performance "HERO" popped up on screen , which was a way of Bts hinting on a new song or album. I still wonder where that hero went👀
the MOTS trilogy theory just gives me goosebumps, it could have been ICONIC.
i do think they decided to wrap the trilogy up as a full album so that they could tour asap during their 7th year because they were planning to start enlisting by then
The Dumpling incident keeps me up at night, since we have scatter and added explanations from the members and jungkook being the last member to confess and said there’s more to it!So what really happened that jk told “you have no idea wht happened “in his live.
Decalcomania will always hurt me 😢
I love the idea of this video so much 😭 we need a part 2 in the future. Thank you 💜
0:29 omg yes Khalid! Especially with jimin! I would love that. And the logic x yoongi collab maybe
You’ve got my attention!!! 😱
One thing to remember about the MotS trilogy is covid. We, in the US, started hearing reports of it late 2019. It could be that things were put on hold due to the rising cases in various countries. The US went on lckdown mid-March so it's not an unlikely factor.
I love how much time and detail you put into each of your videos. This was so well done and so well researched. thank you 💜
Fun video Bora! You are quite the investigator. I especially love the last one too… does make me emotional and grateful they just foraged ahead in spite of the covid setback and absolutely exploded because of it. I just think these magical 7 beings were destined for greatness regardless of which path it was though!! 💜
The MOTS:7 explanation is actually an excellent and very plausible explanation!
To all the ARMYS who are asking about the DREAM mystery,
I think that it is still going to be revealed what 'Dream' concept truly is.
Proof- in a recent video of BT21 the last word displayed in it was DREAM.
SO that is still prevailing and I hope we can get the answers of it.
That taekook subunit will save lives as we speak 😌
Oh my god now this is definitely going to be keeping me up for NIGHTS
19:40 just realizing taehyung and jungkook worked on a lot of music from 2018-2021! So many stuff probably in the vault
1. why they never performed paradise, pluto and louder than bombs;
2. what happened to nam's feat with pharrell williams;
3. ddaeng off spotify even though it's one of their most famous songs;
Hi! Here r my thoughts to ur points:
1. they did perform 134340! (I'm so happy they did bc I was born for this song). They said Louder than Bombs was too high to sing live (understandable, bc damn) and about paradise: well jk didn't even remember they had the song lmao :( but the key is also very high, so.
2. I AGREE! Still waiting for that
3. I need ddaeng. on. spotify.
Khalid, J Balvin and Pharrell collabs that supposedly happened but we may never see 😭
Honey wake up! Boracity dropped a new video 🥺
You are amazing at doing research and analysis 💜
so true!! like I just can't forget it! and I wont quiet down till we get the whole story!
@ yessss! Like so many things keep me up at night, why did hobi carry the girl on his back in the pouring rain instead of calling an ambulance, how did jimin get injured so badly from falling down??
Honestly..as much as i love your serious video documents..i love stuff like these too❤
Tinashe was also having issues with her record label RCA and left to be an independent artist in 2019. Not sure if this has something to do with it not working out for her to be in CNS.
I was thinking this as well
i was wondering if certain labels want to use payola, and since bts would turn that down, collabs got cancelled because of that
We all did indeed think that MOTS was supposed to be a trilogy, but im not sure if Black Swan was meant to be the title track for Shadow. Each of the MOTS title tracks was meant to perhaps correspond with Skool Trilogy tracks in reverse:
Boy in luv - Boy with Luv
N.O - ON
No more dream - Dream
But dream never came, or has, at least not yet and most definitely not with the MOTS trilogy.
He didn't tell the details 'cause it would "take a lot of time"
I love that you did this. Thank you.
Idea for another ranking vid.
Favorite Vlives and Bangtan Bombs! Just finished watching Jimin and JK gimbop episode for the 100th time!
LOOOVE your video!! so much fun!! and I learned so much too!! Mysteries I didn't know they existed and also I always wondered why they hid V...
I'm still thinking about love yourself wonder, I think they would have made an incredible concept.
If BTS had significant financial backing truthfully they would have probably been marketed as every other kpop group at the time
If that was the case wouldn’t they have explained that to V? He has said a few times how confused, upset, lonely and worried he was about it.
@@lindajohnson325the guy didn’t remember v’s name for a while so I don’t know about that.😅😅
@ exactly…he did not even know who V was for 2 years so why would he decide to choose him as a hidden member?!
Woow the butterfly effect at the end! I'm glad about not knowing that answer too
My biggest mistery is why was that collab of ON with Sia even released, it was a bad collab, it seemed like that devalued the song quite a bit and its still out there .. I wish Hybe would make it dissappear 100% .. ON being a masterpiece should not have that collab around 👍Boracity, girl I have to say you approached this with scientific precision👏👏👏💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Never hear it.
Yeah... I finally deleted it from my playlist. Sorry, guys! 😁💜
I remember there was reason but I forget it?....
@@pz48128 Good job army 😂
Gosh im so early. Because of your last livestream I've been rewatching your vidoes and my memory is so bad so it's almost like the first time 😂 love you Bora💜
Never heard of the commercial before, but now thanks to you boracity I'm not gonna sleep at night, I WANT ANSWEEEEEEEEEEEEERS😭😭😭😭😭😭
Same😂
The last mystery sends me goosebumps, ngl
A great video! Yet again I am reminded that there are so many things I still do not know about BTS :)
Lol I'm really glad Khalid isn't on Black Swan, and I'm also so happy that BTS ended up releasing it, regardless of what the actual circumstances were, because it is my FAVOURITE BTS song.
