In 1.30 are the hoardings of films Abehayat, Devdas (of Dalip Kumar) and Tangawali, Ghar ghar kee iwali and Ekadashi released in 1955 . I saw both Devdas and Abehayat (of Premnath) in 1955 at Bareilly when I was in BA second year in Bareilly college.

Dear if you have any photos of Jantar mantar and construction of New NDMC building at Parliament street in 1975 to 85 period pls do post as i used to live next door where the Park Hotel is now .Near Allahabad Bank .it was residential building then called Narendra Place .same semi circular shape as the park hotel thanks Thanks Thanks

Some of the photographs are from Bombay, Lahore, Sialkot, and also from the deck of a ship, so don't write Rare old of Delhi.
I am disappointed that the title is grossly misleading. The collection has photographs from Bombay, Agra and other parts of India mixed with some great photographs of Delhi. Some are not even from India.
This is not the Delhi I remember 60-65 years ago. The photo of Khan Market I am sure is much newer. I remember Delhi to have been more beautiful, full of beautiful lanes lined with huge trees, the India gate area was also very beautiful with grassy patches, Rajpath (King's Way) lined with white-washed posts joined with thick and heavy black iron chains to mark the boundaries. Connaught Place was full of gulmohar trees and the circle was a wide road where a military band used to play every Saturday. This video, I'm afraid, is boring, bare, uninteresting ..........

Mostly photo,s of Delhi exsept some one ,these are very old photos between 1880 to 1930 , lalqila,Purana qila,qutab minar ,jantermanter., India gate ,ferojsaha kotla(near ito) ,prade in canught palace ,tram at nai sadak.,janter manter ,chinema near laj pat rai markeet ,jama masjid ,JAMA masjid backside chawari bajar, rastpati bhawan ,nijamudin , are real photo graph . All photo before 1947

@@shivanimalik9156and we meet here as well, 1980 born! Well, it doesn't look like it's 50 years old. It has to be from before the year 1970. More like 1960. I'd like to be corrected if someone does so. Delhi was orderly under the British. I don't support their other activities but just my observations. It started to deteriorate quickly after they left. However, an 80 or 90 born would most appreciate pics and clips from 1960 or 1970 as things were better in many ways. It'd lead to quite an exhaustive but interesting discussion. What's in Delhi these days? In fact, some things would overlap with other places as they occured pretty uch everywhere-biggest of them, the coming of the Internet on the phone. We have become machines, mwe don't talk, we aren't happy and calm as our ancestors. Still, an interesting and informative collage. How are you doing these days? My regards to you.

You will still find such streets in Delhi but very commercialized now as well as the ruins have lost the charm because of the construction nearby it's not such isolated any more

Sounds Good... But do really believe that Delhi will even survive next 50 years? Traffic, Pollution, Crime everywhere, safe heaven for national threats, and exhausted natural resources. Only a miracle can save delhi for next 50 years. What do you think?

I am from Pakistan, my grand father was from Chuna Mandi Delhi. In 2006 When my father went to see his ancestral home in Chuna Mandi was shocked to know that owner has destroyed the original structure and made it into a hotel.
