    IMPORTANT INFO - Just a quick reminder my fellow travelers. Trash created on your trip will need to be packed out / no trash left behind. Lets keep Havasupai beautiful!

      Hi Jaime, we were schedule to visit in August but they rescheduled us for September because the monsoon reparations of the pathways. We wanted a warm climate to enjoy the waterfalls so if this is what you are looking for summer months are the best weather permitting. Also, if you can avoid the weekends much better because less visitors go during weekdays. Thanks for watching our video and let us know if you have more questions :)

      Can you camp around the falls or only at the campsite by the village ? Great video thank you.

    • @RMTravels
      @RMTravels  3 года назад

      @@nstv23 Hi Sattva, yes you can. Once you get there they will provide you with a map of the areas you can camp. We saw a few people have their hammocks near the Havasu Fall which is the first one you see when you arrive. Thanks for watching our video :)

      I’ve been trying to get a permit to go visit for years. Do you have any tips on how to get in another way?
      Outfitters companies?

    • @RMTravels
      @RMTravels  Год назад

      @@petergriego6398 Hi Peter, I understand. It took us a while to be able to go visit also. I (Mayra) was reading on their website, and it seems that they have an official fb page with more up to date information.
      facebook.com/HavasupaiTribeTourismOfficial
      We don't know of other ways to get there. Our understanding is that this way is the only way. The time we got it, we were open to different dates in summer and also any day of the week, so we had more chances to get the permit. I would recommend you follow them on fb and I would even e-mail and ask if permits are available if someone or a group cancels.

Apparently, they are taking new reservations when someone or a group is cancelling. We recommend you to arrive early so you can rest at night in the parking lot. Also, Do not forget to print your reservations, they check which is good because your car will be there park safely until you return, this helps them know how many days your staying camping. Thanks for watching our video and let us know if you have any other questions. Enjoy Havasupai!

      Yes, we noticed a restaurant and a small store by the village which is located 2 miles from the campground, the restaurant sells burgers, fries, native tacos and the store sells things like drinks, canned food and fruits. Always better to bring your own goodies but if you run out or just want to eat something different you can ; - ) Enjoy your trip!!

      You are welcome! I wish we did too, we are looking to get a drone sometime in the near future to incorporate in the shots. Not sure if anyone got lost hiking in before but it is a narrow canyon once you go through it you are at the village, pretty much a one way shot.

    • @RMTravels
      @RMTravels  4 года назад

      Hello Thebluetarp, Hike in and Out the same day is not allowed. The permit charges are included in the final pay. For example: The prices are $100 per person, per day for camping or $125 if is during the weekend and all permits and taxes are included on these prices. Also, remember that February 1 is the day to Reserve for the Whole Year.

    Please bring awareness and educate people about the abuse that goes on with the pack mules. If you do this hike DO NOT use pack mules. They are severely abused and often left dead. At what cost are you willing to go to get that picture. It’s not worth it. If you can’t pack it in and out don’t go. Google Havasupai Falls horses. There is plenty information on it.

The Uber driver I just had that's been here for only 6 years spoke better English than you. It's sad and pathetic get better if you want to use English. When I speak Spanish I make it a point to roll my R's and pronounce things correctly and if I don't know how I don't speak Spanish. It's that simple, respect the language and you get respect back.

      @@RMTravels USA English 😂 compared to what British English? They are just as bad as you with words and pronunciation. Examples:
      Maths instead of math
      Torch instead of flashlight (it doesn’t have an open flame - it’s not a torch)
      Biscuits instead of cookies - biscuits are savory, like biscuits and gravy; cookies are the sweet desserts.
      Jumpers instead of sweaters - a jumper is someone who jumps, like someone who might jump off the bridge to commit suicide. It’s not something you wear.
      Football instead of soccer - football is the NFL, the best sport in the world. Soccer is a British word that they stopped using but we Americans kept using.
      Pitch instead of field - the correct phrase is “soccer field”, not “football pitch”. Pitch is like tar, not a playing venue.
      Table instead of standings - a table is a furniture; the standings show the win loss records of a team.
      Level up instead of tied up - you level up a container with liquid, you tie the opposing team.
      Cleansheet instead of shutout - you shut out the other team on defense. What does cleansheet even mean?
      Flat instead of apartment - flats are types of shoes or the state of your tires, not a residential unit.
      Pavement instead of sidewalk - pavement is the tar surface of a road. It’s not the concrete walkway next to the road.
      Trolley instead of shopping cart - a trolley is a type of public transportation, not something you push around a grocery store
      Rubber instead of eraser - rubber is a substance or a condom.
      Burgled vs burglarized - the right verb is burglarized; is burgled even a word?
      “Knock you up” instead “wake you up” - do the British knock each other up a lot? Then why is their birth rate so low?
      It’s pronounced “straw-berries”, not “strawbries”. It’s pronounced a-LOO-mi-num, not a-loo-MI-nyum. It’s pronounced “ske-dule”, not “she-dule”
      Learn English for god sakes.
